Treatments (Eye) -Bobbi Brown - Hydrating Eye Cream

I received a sample of this and it lasted me nearly two weeks. I have to say, I use lots of different eye creams because the skin under my eyes is extremely dry and concealer always seems to get cakey. This is one of the best I have used. It was much much richer than any other creams I have tried and it really did the trick. No stinging and it felt so smooth and really kept me hydrated. I was very impressed and would highly consider buying in the future.
I received a DHC sample of this new product. The sample is so small, but like most DHC samples you hardly need any so it has lasted for several days already. I am really impressed with this so far. I was shocked when I squeezed it out of the package because it is like an oil, not a lotion. But you use just a small amount and it does a great job of firming and moisturizing the eye area. I have huge problems with my concealer getting cakey from my dry skin around my eyes, but this really did the trick. I am really impressed and will definitely purchase a full size bottle.
I got a sample of this with my DHC order. I don't quite get the hype. It makes your face feel really smooth when you put it on. But beyond that I don't actually see any difference. I think it is just a feel thing that people like. No scent that I could detect, but I did break out a little the last few days, which is unusual for me, so it could be from that. I was not impressed. Update: I decided after all the good reviews to give the Velvet Coat one more try. I really dislike this product alot. It is almost like a vaseline ointment texture and it is so thick. I feel like I have paste on my face. Your skin does feel smooth, but it is nothing I would want on my face all day long and it really didn't make my make-up seem to hold or last any longer. I am sticking with my Laura Mercier!
I have been using this product for several months now and have been pretty pleased. My skin is sensitive combination. My skin feels clean, there is no residue. It might be a little bit drying for my skin, I might try the olive oil soap next, but my skin hasn't broken out once since I started using it. Almost no scent, but nice clean smell. I don't usually use soap, but I actually really like it. I bought the small bar and it has lasted forever! Not a miracle worker or anything, nice basic cleaner, would definitely recommend and would buy again.
I have been using this for years. My friends all joke that I should own the company because I have turned so many people on to it. This stuff is fabulous. If I get a pimple, I just dab some on and sleep with it on and the next morning it is nearly gone. I have combination sensitive skin and have never had a breakout or redness from it. Just leaves you looking rosy and feeling really clean. It really does seem to soak up all the extra oil on your face, you can even see it as it dries. It is a must have!!!!
I have tried the cleansing oil on many occasions and was never overly impressed with it, for some reason, I decided to order another bottle and give it a try. This time I used it as a cleanser and not just a makeup remover. It really was amazing. It took off all my eye makeup and regular makeup and cleansed and moisturized in one step. The next morning my face looked great and my pores looked clearer. I think my mistake was to wash afterward, when I really didn't need too. I think I found another DHC product that I love!
Moisturizers -Desert Essence - Jojoba Oil - 100% pure

Well I held off writing a review of Jojoba Oil because there were so many reviews that I wanted to use it for awhile before deciding. I have been using it for several months as my moisturizer both morning and night. I wash, tone and use just a couple of drops of Jojoba oil and massage into my skin. It works better than any moisturizer I have ever used. I had recently been looking for some new products for my skin and was trying everything. My skin is combination and sensitive. My facialist referred me to many products including Dermalogica and Murad, both of which were very expensive. I tried them and broke out from everything. I finally went on my own search and started with jojoba oil. It is great. I went for a facial and she noted that my skin looked alot better. I told her I started using jojoba oil and she was shocked. She said she would never recommend it to someone, but she couldn't say my skin didn't look good! So listen to your skin, not people selling you very expensive products! It works and it lasts forever. My skin has never felt so soft and looked so smooth and even.
I bought the whole Dermalogica system while trying to find something new and better for my skin. I had high hopes that it would really do the job. It didn't. I had to return just about everything because my skin got worse. I got the Multi-Active Toner and while it didn't do anything bad to my skin, it really isn't doing anything either. It feels good spraying it on and that is about all I can say. I do put it on before my moisturizer and I am sure the extra moisture helps, but so does water. It is really expensive and I haven't noticed anything at all. Save your money!!!
I received many samples of this product after using Dermalogica products and getting a breakout. This did not do anything. It is nothing more than salicylic acid used in Clear and Clear Medicated Gel and that actually seemed to work better. Expensive and fairly useless, save your money and get something at the drugstore!
Moisturizers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer spf15

I bought this because I have some troubles finding a sunscreen for my sensitive combination skin. It is o.k. I don't mind the smell, it is definitely scented. I like that it did not leave the pasty white residue that some sunscreen can leave on your face. It didn't make my face feel greasy either, but at the same time, I don't really think it is doing anything great either. There is nothing radiant about it. It is just a very ho hum sunscreen. I don't hate it, but I don't think I will buy it again.
Lip Treatments -Alba Botanica - Coconut Cream Lip Balm

I love this lip balm!!! It smells so amazing, if you like coconut. It is very moisturizing and I don't feel the need to keep reapplying because it really keeps working.
Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Nivea Body Firming Treatment Cream with Q10 plus

As with others, I have to agree this has no visible firming ability, but it does make my skin ridiculously soft. I am on my second bottle. You need to put it on right out of the shower when your skin is still damp and it has done wonders. I can't remember my skin ever being this soft, which was a big suprise. I didn't think my skin was not soft!!! Try it, it is really inexpensive and the giant bottles last forever!!!
Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Radiance Moisturizing Cream [DISCONTINUED]
serafina7923 12/25/2006 6:17:00 PM
I got several samples of this and gave it a try. The smell was so overpowering that I really didn't think I would be able to leave it on my face. I tried it though and my skin reacted well and was well moisturized. I was going to use it the next night to try again, but upon smelling it again, I just could not put it on. So can't say it was bad, the smell is just very strong and has a very old ladyish smell. Definitely would not buy this because of the smell.
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Lip Care Stick - Cocoa Butter

I bought this lip balm on a whim and loved it. I use Burts Bees all the time and love it. But love this one too. It is very soothing and I love the smell. It seems to make my lips feel more soothed, where the Burts Bees is more tingly. Also great before putting on lipstick. Just ran out and will definitely buy again.
Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush

I did not like BE makeup, but I just love this brush. It is slightly firm and I find it works perfect with my normal creamy concealers. It is gently for under the eyes and precise enough to use on blemishes. It is a great brush and I would definitely purchase another in the future!
