I have a love/hate relationship with this shampoo. I love the results: it leaves my hair soft and shiny. I hate using it: the insipid coconut fragrance, and I cannot get this shampoo to lather to save my life...it just isn't pleasant to use. On the plus side, it's not expensive, and it provides nice results. Worth a try if you have dry hair, and you don't mind the sweet coconut scent.
Gels/Soaps -Victoria's Secret - Insatiable-Key Lime Lust 3 in 1 Body Wash
luckygirl322 11/21/2006 6:51:00 AM
This is such a fantastic body wash! It smells SO good...just like a key lime pie. Creamy, sweet, tart deliciousness, and by far my favorite product in this line. Lathers well, and leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft, but not with that 'coated' feeling. I love this, and will definitely repurchase. This product is superior to the 'philosophy' 3 in 1 body washes I have tried, and also more affordable...try this stuff, you won't be sorry!
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Insatiable-Key Lime Lust- body spray
luckygirl322 11/21/2006 6:41:00 AM
I think this body spray smells delicious for the first few minutes, sugary lime loveliness...it quickly morphs into a sweet vanilla, and then vanishes completely. I like to use this at night, after my evening shower. It's fresh and sweet, and I'm usually asleep before it fades away without a trace. Nice for what it is, but don't expect the love affair to last long...it won't!
Lotions/ Creams -Victoria's Secret - Insatiable Key Lime Lust Body Lotion
luckygirl322 11/21/2006 6:36:00 AM
This smells delicious just out of the bottle, or freshly applied...like a yummy mixture of sugar, lime and vanilla, absolutely scrumptious! Unfortunately, this deliciousness only lasts a few minutes, before it fades away to nothing. I think the packaging is ugly, too...they could have done much better with this product! I did choose 'repurchase', because it smells so delectable, and I always like the texture of VS lotions, also the bottle is huge, so it's an economical choice. Just enjoy the fantastic sweet scent while it lasts, because it does not linger!
Conditioner -Alba Botanica - Alba Hawaiian Mango Moisturizing Hair Conditioner
luckygirl322 11/21/2006 6:29:00 AM
This is a pretty good conditioner. It smells great, although the scent does not linger in my hair, and it detangles fairly well, especially if I use a wide toothed comb in the shower. The packaging stinks...this stuff should be in a tube. I usually remember to leave it standing upside down in the shower, but if I forget, it's almost impossible to use. Frustrating, and so easily fixable! It also seems to leave my hair somewhat frizzy, and adds no shine whatsoever, but overall, I like this product.
Shampoo -Alba Botanica - Honeydew Nourishing Hair Wash
luckygirl322 11/21/2006 6:23:00 AM
This is a nice shampoo...it smells very good, although the scent does not linger in my hair, and it does not seem to be drying to my already dry, color-treated hair. Very nice indeed. It is not however, a HG for me...does nothing for shine, and it doesn't seem to help preserve my color at all. Those factors, plus the fact that it is not readily available where I live make this a four lippie, rather than a five lippie review.
Very nice conditioner...love the peppermint tingle! This leaves my dry hair soft and shiny, but not flat. Conditions and detangles perfectly, but does not leave my hair with that 'coated' feeling. Very expensive, but also a superior product. Worth it? Only you can decide (but you owe it to your hair to at least try it!).
This is a really good shampoo...it left my dry, color-treated hair soft and shiny. It is not available where I live, but I am definitely going to try and get my hands on some more of this stuff! I didn't care for the scent at first, but it is slowly growing on me. It's very expensive, but it's also the best shampoo I've ever used. I can't speak to the 'non-fading' aspect of this product, but I plan to go back to red hair very soon...I hope it's as good as I expect it to be.
This is a really nice mascara. One of the few products I've tried lately that truly delivers what it promises...pretty, darkened lashes with no clumps. I still prefer Voluminous, but this one comes very, very close to replacing it as my favorite mascara. Be careful...if you poke or scratch your eye with this brush, IT HURTS! lol Very nice product, definitely worth a try if you're looking for a new mascara.
Bath Treatments -LUSH - Flosty Gritter Bubble Bar [DISCONTINUED]
luckygirl322 10/9/2006 6:41:00 AM
This pretty bubble bar smells delicious, but left my skin itchy and uncomfortable...a first for me with a LUSH product. Will not repurchase for this reason.
Fragrances -I Profumi di Firenze - Vaniglia del Madagascar
luckygirl322 10/6/2006 10:20:00 AM
Sweet, rich, and warm...pure vanilla. Two years ago, I would have found this delicious and swoon-worthy. Now, I find it slightly boring. That said, it's still a very nice vanilla, and worth a try if you're a true vanilla lover. The amber note is lovely, and never overpowers the vanilla bean.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Exotic Coconut
luckygirl322 10/4/2006 7:27:00 AM
Mmmmm! I am really enjoying this fragrance, it's so warm and delicous...just yummy! DH doesn't like it, reminds him of tanning lotion, although I don't get that at all...to me it's just a rich and comforting coconut scent. Not too strong, like the Sensual Amber, it's just right. It lasts nicely, too. I do wonder about B&BW choosing to release this in the fall, as it seems more of a summery fragrance, but it works for me. One of my best B&BW purchases in a VERY long time!
Fragrances -Bath and Body Works - White Cherry Blossom Body Splash
luckygirl322 10/4/2006 7:16:00 AM
Ewwww! I can't belive all the rave reviews of this fragrance...I'm actually shocked! This is such a sharp, perfumey scent, it's actually painful to wear! It brought on a staggering headache almost immediately...and I never react to fragrance this way. Stay far, far away from this one if you're prone to fragrance induced headaches.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - White Cherry Blossom
luckygirl322 10/4/2006 7:12:00 AM
While I hate the body spray version of this fragrance, the scent of the lotion seems to be a little softer, not nearly as sharp and perfumey as the spray. Still...I really don't like it, it just never seems to mellow out, even after wearing a while. It's sharp white blossom fragrance pricks my nose so, it's actually painful...fragrance shouldn't hurt! I chose this version over the Japanese Cherry Blossom, because sometimes I find the B&BW version of musk to be heavy and overbearing...in this case, a tiny hint of musk or vanilla might have softened the edges and actually rendered this unbearably 'bright' fragrance wearable. Thumbs down on this one.
Gels/Soaps -Philosophy - Toasted coconut marshmallow 3 in 1
luckygirl322 10/4/2006 7:02:00 AM
This does smell like 'Toasted Coconut Marshmallows' to me, exactly as advertised (although I haven't tried the other coconut scents for comparison). I can actually smell the 'toasted marshmallow' along with the plain old coconut...and I like it, it's a nice foody fragrance. It's a decent shower gel, doesn't over-dry my skin, I don't use it as a shampoo, and it's disappointing as a bubble bath...lots of bubbles, but the scent COMPLETELY disappears (very disappointing). All in all, it's a nice product, but extremely overpriced, and I would not repurchase. The only other three-in-one that I'm interested in trying is the Lavender Pound Cake.
