Cleansers -Boots - Sanctuary Deep Cleansing Wipes
gforce7 7/1/2007 3:28:00 PM
Possibly the worst cleansing wipes I have ever tried. They are not nearly damp enough, so do not cleanse very well at all & I find they're quite harsh/astringent and leave my skin feeling 'stingy' and raw (probably partially because I have to rub so hard for them to have any effect!) - I deffinately would not recommend for sensitive skin. Needless to say, I will not be repurchasing.

I find this brush is the ideal size and shape for applying bronzing powder.

Skincare - Body -Soap and Glory - Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel
gforce7 6/28/2007 3:14:00 PM
This is a lovely shower gel with built in body lotion. It lathers up surprisingly well considering it's creamy consisitency and leaves my skin smooth and more moisturised than a regular shower gel. Cute kitsch packaging with a handy pump action dispenser - no fumbling with hard to remove caps/sticky flip-tops lids. Divine scent. A little pricey (£4.99) when the majority is just washed down the plug-hole. My budget's more used to gels that are around the £1 mark! Would probably repurchase (as a treat).

Shampoo -Batiste - Dry Shampoo
gforce7 6/26/2007 10:38:00 AM
This gives me an extra day before having to wash my hair again. It refreshes my roots and restores my hair's volume too. I love the tropical version - it has a gorgeous coconut scent. And for £1.99, this has bargain written all over it.

Lip Gloss -Urban Decay - Big Fatty Lip Plumper
gforce7 6/25/2007 2:44:00 PM
I received a free sample of this. Like other lip plumpers, this only suceeds in making my lips look red and swollen, not naturally full and lush. I'm always on the look out for lipsticks/glosses etc to tone down my highly pigmented lips, so using this defeats the purpose I guess. Basically, I'm not a fan of any 'tingly' lip plumpers, including this one. Plus, owww, it hurts! I did notice some visible plumping though.

Lipstick -Clinique - Colour Surge Butter Shine- Shhh
gforce7 6/24/2007 5:02:00 PM
I had high hopes for this product when I saw the colour in the tube - the most gorgeous light peachy nude that looked like it would suit me down to the ground. However when I tried it on it actually turned out quite a bright shimmery pink! (eek, how did that happen !?!?). I like to tone down my highly pigmented lips, so I was not overly enamoured with this effect, to say the least.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Skin Doctors Circle Clear
gforce7 6/23/2007 12:48:00 PM
Advertised as "A rich blend of natural extracts to gentle reduce the appearance of dark circles from under the eyes.Circle Clear has a unique combination of naturally based ingredients to help fade the appearance of ugly black, blue or red discolouration in the delicate area." Not impressed I'm affraid - It hasn't had any effect on my dark circles whatsoever. The formula is greasy and doesn't sink into skin very well - it just seems to sit on top of the skin. Also if it gets into your eye it stings like heck!

Bronzers -Chanel - Irreelle Soleil - Toundra [DISCONTINUED]
gforce7 6/23/2007 12:31:00 PM

I like how this is such a finely milled powder - it goes on nice and sheer and can be built up easily. However, the actual colour (Toundra) is slightly too orangey - too many peachy/apricot tones - my usual complaint with most bronzers. Also the free brush is very poor quality and I'd expect better from Chanel. I still haven't found anything to beat my beloved Clinique True Bronze in 'Sunkissed'.

Bronzers -BeneFit Cosmetics - HOOLA
gforce7 6/23/2007 12:18:00 PM
Nice matte formula, no annoying shimmer/sparkly bits etc, but it is far too dark for my fair skin...it looks like I've rubbed cocoa powder on my face, even when using a very light hand.

Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - Mr. Frosty [DISCONTINUED]
gforce7 6/23/2007 12:09:00 PM
First of all, there is no need for this product to be so big - it makes it really awkward to apply. When I try to put this on the insides of my lower lids it gets all over my bottom eyelashes. This doesn't happen with any normal sized white kohl pencil I've used - much better for the job in my opinion. Another dud from Benefit.

Blush -Stila - Rouge Pot Lotus
gforce7 6/20/2007 4:27:00 PM
This is one of my favourite blushes - fantasic natural colour and so easy to blend - but I HATE the packaging; who thought of putting it in a tiny pot?! The little glass pot is good quality and very pretty and but just not practical...when you dip your finger in it often gets under your nails, yuk, very annoying!

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
gforce7 6/18/2007 7:04:00 PM
Unfortunatley I seem to be allergic to this product - both times I've used it, it's made my eyelids feel itchy, sore and dry with a slight tingling, burning sensation. :-(

Self Tanners -St.Tropez - Everyday Daily Moisturiser
gforce7 6/18/2007 6:39:00 PM
Considering the price and the brand name, I was expecting a lot more of this product! Even after exfoliating well beforehand, this turns out streaky and blotchy on me. The colour is not very natural looking either - quite orange. Plus it has a very strange scent. My favourite gradual tanner still remains Garnier Summerbody.

Treatments -Liz Earle - Superskin Concentrate
gforce7 6/18/2007 6:24:00 PM
I received a 2ml free sample of this with my Liz Earle order and am so impressed with it I will most certainly buy the full-sized product. Nothing has ever left my skin feeling as velvety soft and silky smooth as this. I must look like a right nut-case as I can't stop stroking my neck and face, lol :-p Amazing results! The scent is absolutely gorgeous too, and very relaxing.
