Eye Makeup Remover -Paula's Choice - Gentle Touch Makeup Remover
gaudiora 12/22/2002 4:59:00 PM
Removes makeup well without irritation. I can't exactly rave about it because it's a...makeup remover. It does it's job well, nothing special. I'm not sure if I would buy this again--although reasonably priced, I'm sure that there are drugstore products that do the same thing for less.
I rarely stray from OPI when I purchase nail polish. Fantastic color selection with more colors added often and a good price. Also, I think that the brush and the quality of the polish itself is excellent.
I'm nearly convinced that this is the Best Nail Polish Ever. It's a gorgeous neutral (but not too blah!) color that is always appropriate. Plus, when it chips, it still looks pretty good. I love this and I will repurchase (something I rarely do)
Makeup Brushes -Unlisted Brand - Rounded Concealor

The first thing about this brush is that it's very, very small. The head of the brush is much smaller than most of the other round tipped concealer brushes I've seen, so it's very stiff. Definitely small enough so that a separate brush for blemishes is unnecessary. This brush works fine for applying a little bit of concealer at a time, which I find to be the most effective way.
I have normal skin with an oily t-zone, and I think this is a very good product. I only needed a tiny amount for thorough cleansing, and it removed most of my makeup without leaving my skin stripped or tight. I'm unsure if I'd buy this product again, though, simply because I always use an eye makeup remover to remove any smudges. Therefore, I can use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, which removes very little eye makeup, for a much lower price. I'm a skincare cheapskate. :) I do recommend getting a free sample of this cleanser.
These lipsticks are long wearing, odorless, tasteless, and I really like them! I have 3 of the 4 sample packs, as well as two full sized lipsticks. There are so many mini lipsticks I don't know when I'll finish trying them all. Color descriptions: Rosebud--blue based pink/red really is wonderful for a "Snow White" look! I like to wear this lipstick with flushed pink cheeks and minimal eye makeup, it really does look very cute and fresh. Bashful Pink--highly pigmented neutral brown- pink color with a bit of mauve.
Awesome morning cleanser! No, Cetaphil does not remove makeup. I'm glad that it doesn't because then it would have harsher cleansing agents. I just use a makeup remover to take off my eye makeup and all goes well. My face is gently cleansed after I use it, and feels moisturized too. I buy the generic version of this from Walgreen's, and every so often, there's a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" sale and I stock up.
Skincare - Body -Johnson & Johnson - Head to Toe baby wash

Fantastic for removing makeup! I only use this at night and it removes my eye makeup very well. It may be too stripping or drying for dry skinned people, but with my slightly oily skin, it's fantastic. It's VERY cheap for a very large bottle. Only complaint is that I had problems making the pump function.
Texture is waxy and less hard than Chapstick. I find that it moisturizes well and it has a good SPF. This product appears to be a "love it or hate it" kind of thing, but I love it. Appearance: More attractive and subtle than, let's say, the Carmex package. I think the semi-opaque sea foam green tube is classy looking. Also, I find that the limey-herbal smell is more appealing than artificial fruity smells, which I do not prefer.
Great product! I'm a combination skin MAC NC20 and I wear Classic Ivory. I found that this foundation blends in very smoothly and looks very natural. I have to say that it will accentuate any flaky patches--best to use on smooth skin. It looks pretty good in natural light, and the full spectrum sunscreen is a huge bonus. Also, this product applies so much better if you use a foundation brush rather than a sponge.
Bath Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Fruit Cocktail Bubble Bath
gaudiora 8/6/2002 3:04:00 PM
I received a sample of this from WTF. Fruit Cocktail smells like Runts candy or like fruit punch (the kind that you buy in the store--mostly water and fructose corn syrup). One of the most important aspects of a bubble bath are, well, bubbles, and this product didn't produce many bubbles at all. When I was first filling the bath, there were a decent amount of bubbles, but they disappeared into a think milky film VERY quickly. I think there are other brands that can make better bubbles. :)
Wonderful product! Goes on smoothly and colorless. Okay, there are a lot of sunscreens that do this, but Ocean Potion has Avobenzone, a full spectrum chemical sunscreen, at the top of its ingredient list. I've only used this on my body, so I don't know how well it works on the face. It contains a scent just like a Dreamsicle (very sweet slightly citrusy scent). Also, it's VERY cheap--about the same (or even cheaper) per oz as generic brand sunscreens.
These are wonderful lipsticks, and I highly recommend them. They have a soft, creamy texture and leave a soft sheen. Although these are sheer, they won't disappear on your lips. I purchased Syrup, a medium pink mauve color that is a great "your lips but better" shade for me. The fragrance is the trademark MAC vanilla scent, and the lipsticks are unflavored. I'm eager to try on more shades of Lustre lipsticks! Please consider trying these, they really are nice!
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Power Shield Extra Protection Top Coat
gaudiora 7/13/2002 2:13:00 PM
This topcoat lasted for a few days (including an all day trip to the waterpark!) with very, very minimal chipping at the top of the nails. I think there isn't a topcoat in the world that will prevent some chipping at the tips of my nails because my nails have a tendency to peel. So, I consider this a very good product, and I got better results from it than the other top coats I have tried. Plus, I noticed that the shine on the top coat lasted for a long time. I recommend trying this top coat, it works very well and is less than $4 USD!
Wonderful! I used to always have problems with my bikini line--I would shave, and then have to wear a swimsuit, and develop red irritated bumps, and then excaberated the bumps by shaving them...no more! Skin Relief is an odorless, slightly slippery liquid that completely prevents shaving itchies, as well as soothing insect bites. Highly recommended! I'll keep using this product!
