I like this one! I don't know if I'd buy it at full price but definately at the next LUSH soap sale. It doesn't melt away and it lathers up nicely too. I like the composition of the little seeds in it. I actually like the smell -- surprisingly because it's super similar to that cheap motel free soap that they give you in the bathroom. I ripped off the leaves after first use though.
Pressed Powders -Laura Mercier - Pressed Setting Powder - Translucent

This product is just "okay". It does seem to cast a white veil over my skin, in a bad way. I'm NC40. It is finely milled and seems to come off on my brush really easily that I feel like I'm wasting it. I can't use the puff or it really casts whiteness over me. It was nice to try and I'll probably use mine all up, but I won't be repurchasing this.
Wow! I"m really surprised too by the bad reviews on this. Maybe this soap is a love or hate for people. This is one of the longest lasting LUSH soaps and the smell is really really nice! I really love the smell, it smells so much better when you lather it up opposed to the dry slice at the store. I have to agree, that the slices of olives in the soap are kinda gross though, I could do without those.
This is nice smelling and fun to use when I remember to. I have no idea why someone would ever pay for this though.
Masks -Lather - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract
allThingsGirl 2/17/2009 1:28:00 AM
This is the worst mask ever. It does nothing and just feels like I put too much lotion on my face. I hate not washing it off too because it just leaves my face feeling really greasy! Definately would not repurchase or recommend.
Skincare - Body -Lather - Lavender and Eucalyptus Foot Creme
allThingsGirl 2/17/2009 1:26:00 AM
This cream looks gross and makes me not want to use it. Picky, I know. Also, I prefer my foot cremes a bit thicker. It does smell nice and feel nice on but I would not repurchase this.
Lotions/ Creams -Lather - AHA hand creme with evening primrose
allThingsGirl 2/17/2009 1:25:00 AM
This product smells nice, feels nice when initially put on. It has helped my hands some...but I think Cetaphil hand creme is more effective and cheaper. I would not repurchase.
This is a great product. It really makes you feel like you have a "spa" at your own house. The combination of Bamboo and Lemongrass is so invigorating and unique. Also the texture of this is very interesting because it stays gritty while you are using it but isn't covered in slime that makes it wash away.
Makeup Brushes -MAC - #165 Contouring Brush [DISCONTINUED]
allThingsGirl 2/15/2009 1:18:00 AM
I really love this brush. Not sure why this is labeled a "Contouring Brush" on MUA because I thought it was selling on MAC's site as "Highlighting/Blush" brush. It has really changed the way I do my face makeup. Highlighters were just something I used once in a while that I had sitting around rounding out my collection. But, now, with this brush, I have been highlighting all the time! It does really well with picking up the right amount of pigment and placing it where needed. I love using it with MAC Shimpagne MSF and it's created a lemming for me to hunt down other MAC MSF highlighers (Lightscapade, where are you?). Additionally, I love it for blush application. Absolutely perfect picking up the right amount of pigment and like others have said before, great with control. I thought this brush was for the high maintenence girl that needs a brush for everything, but seriously, this is a must have in any collection -- even one just starting out. :)
I like this one. It's not in the top 3 LUSH soaps for me, but it's nice. Smells fruity and looks pretty. It's a happy soap! I think this would also make a good hand soap, since it displays nicely too.
I wanted to love this soap because I have always been intriqued by the mud bath spa treatments -- but after trying a big hunk of this, I'm turned off by the idea now. Mostly because of the appearance and smell. It looks like things that are excreted out of your body that you really shouldn't be rubbing all over yourself and it smells like, well, dirt! I can't really tell the difference on my skin. HOWEVER -- as I'm writing this review, my S.O. said that he really likes this soap alot! He says it is fun to use and feels like ice cream meltinig on his skin when it lathers up, and he loves the smell. Go figure. I wouldn't repurchase this for me, but maybe someday as a gift for him I guess.
Blush -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Redhead Degradé
allThingsGirl 2/9/2009 1:23:00 AM
Wow! I'm no where near a redhead but this product sure works for me. I swatched this on my hand when BBR first came out and was like, "eh...not my favorite one..", but weeks later, I tried it on and completely changed my mind! It's a glowy salmony color on me that's not too overpowering and surprisingly very natural, even for a NC40/black haired girl. I bought the last one at my counter and am soooo glad I did. It's super unique and I've owned the majority of MSFs that MAC has released -- and swapped alot away. But, this one is a keeper! Buy this when you can...it's going to be one of these that will be way sought after when it's long gone..
I don't like this scent while showering with it. However, throughout the day, a slight version of it sticks with you and I love it! It isn't a feminine scent though, but it's very unique and "spicy". I would buy this again if it were cheaper or if LUSH was having their soap sale. It doesn't last very long at all.
I tried using the sand exfoliant part two ways. First using it directly on my skin -- this tended to be too harsh and it wore away the sand super fast. So, I tried the second way -- just turning the soap on the side and getting only a bit of the sand to rub off. This didn't really prove that effective as an exfoliator at all. The mess of the sand in your tub is too high maintenence for me and exfoliator portion of this soap didn't really work out for me, so I cut it off eventually. The soap part is nice though but surprisingly, although I'm not a fan of Sexy Peel soap, I prefer that one over this smell. I would not repurchase, but it was an interesting try.
If you like the smell of rotting sea kelp baking on the beach on a warm summer day, then you will like this soap. I personally hate it because it reminds me of going shore diving and this smell tends to trigger me to get sea sick. It seems to last a long time though and lathers up okay. The bits on the edge of sea stuff is disgusting to me and it makes me feel dirty opposed to clean, since this is the stuff you tend to wash OFF you after spending a day at the beach. I don't know, maybe those that aren't nearby the ocean may appreciate this soap more than me, but I won't be repurchasing -- I almost threw it out the first day I tried it but stuck it out to see if my views would change. They didn't.
