Primer/ Corrector -Clarins - Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch

I only use this under my eyes to prime b4 undereye concealer and it works really well for that. My undereye concealer wears much better when I have this stuff on. I've never tried it all over my face and I don't think I ever will, but if you're looking for an undereye concealer primer, this stuff is awesome!!!

Concealers -Laura Mercier - Undercover

I love the convenience of this concealer b/c it has the undereye concealer(Secret Concealer) on one side and the spot concealer(Secret Camoflauge) on the other. My favorite is the Secret Camo b/c when I use it w/a concealer brush my blemishes disappear. The Secret Concealer on the other hand tends to leave me w/cracks under my eyes after a few hours, but only if I apply too much. You need very little of this one. Overall I'm pretty impressed and it has never caused any irritation. Plus, the price is pretty nice for Laura Mercier, IMHO. I have it in #2 and both sides blend in well w/ my NW20 skintone.Very nice!!!

Foundations -Cargo - OneBase

I really love using this product as a spot concealer under my Bare Escentuals and my LORAC Wet/Dry Powder Foundation. The consistency is a bit thin, but it still manages to conceal the redness in my spots. I was a little concerned b/c it does have some oil in it, but it hasn't broken me out and I am VEEERRRYYY acne prone. I'm not real thrilled w/the sponge tip applicator for sanitary reasons, but it does make for easy application. I have the lightest shade(01) and for ref. I'm an NW20. It blends in great. An awesome concealer IMO!!!

Moisturizers -LORAC - Oil-free Moisturizer
aimeeb12 1/5/2007 6:35:00 PM
I have been using this moisturizer for a few weeks now. I tried a sample first to make sure it wouldn't break me out and so far so good. It's a nice lighter consistency, but it gets the moisturizing job done very well. I've been on topical acne meds lately and my skin has a been a little crazy, but this stuff relieves the dryness and soothes my skin. I use it in the morning and under my mu. It's expensive, IMO, and the packaging isn't wonderful, but I promise it's worth every penny. It contains no oil and no fragrance, so it's nice for even the most sensitive of skins. I highly rec this product!!!

Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer Oil -Free
aimeeb12 12/31/2006 1:00:00 AM
As far as liquid makeup goes, this has been the best primer. It works wonders. I use it under my LM TM Oil-Free and it looks amazing and it really does help the TM last throughout the day. I can totally tell a difference when I wear it and when I don't. It works well under foundation too. It has never broken me out. The consistency is the best. It's not gel-ish like the Smashbox, which just kind of sits on my face and clogs my pores. The Nars Primer on the other hand, was like applying another layer of moisturizer. Pretty pointless, IMHO. I didn't see any results w/the LORAC Primer either. LM is hands down THE BEST!!!

Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 - Oil Free
aimeeb12 12/6/2006 1:53:00 PM
This has been the best tinted moisturizer for me so far! I have it in Nude and I'm NW20 for ref..It provides enough coverage and truly gives that dewy/luminous look to my skin. It lasts all day. It's never caused a breakout, but I don't wear it everyday. If I want fuller coverage I use BE. I still have to use a little concealer(I use LM concealer) and l/p to finish the look, but that's expected. It's worth the price, IMO. A nearly perfect tinted moisturizer.

Concealers -Make Up For Ever - Lift Concealer
aimeeb12 12/3/2006 11:06:00 PM
My HG undereye concealer!! Love this stuff. I found a great color match in #3 and for ref., I'm an NW20. BE CAREFUL when choosing a color w/these b/c shade #2 is actually darker than shade #3, and shade #1 is ghostly pale, IMO. The consistency is a perfect happy medium. Not too thick and not too watery. It tightens the undereye area and gives great coverage. My dark circles aren't horrible, but very apparent w/out mu. It also illuminates the undereye area. All undereye concealer is gonna sink into little lines at some point b/c we're f-ing human, but this one takes the longest to do so ,and when it does, it's not overly dry looking. I use it under BE and it works really well. Great product!!

Treatments -Burt's Bees - Herbal Blemish Stick
aimeeb12 11/5/2006 9:04:00 PM
I like this b/c it brings my pimples to a head, so I can extract the whitehead. That may sound a bit sadistic to some, but there is NO WAY I'm going out in public w/a whitehead hanging off my chin. That's gross. The smell isn't the best, but you get used to it after a few uses. The roller-ball packaging sucks for hygenic reasons, but the product itself works well. I just wish it came in the same packaging as Benefit's Boo Boo Zap. Then I would give it five lippies.

Mascara -Givenchy - Eye Fly
aimeeb12 11/5/2006 8:58:00 PM
I was disappointed w/this one. A co-worker of mine talked me into buying this, but it didn't give the results I expected. I wanted A TON of length for the price, and instead, the look was way too natural, IMO. I also found it drying. I used a lash primer b4hand and my lashes were still crispy. The color wasn't pigmented enough for me either. IOW, it wasn't 'black' enough. If you want a natural look, you may wanna give this a try, but if you want maximum length like I do, I wouldn't rec this. I feel like it's overrated.

Bronzers -Milani - Powder Mosaic in Touch O- Sun
aimeeb12 11/2/2006 1:56:00 PM
I *LOVE* this bronzer!!! It's perfect for my light(NW20) complexion. I haven't noticed much shimmer in it at all, except for maybe a few little sparklers. For the most part, I would consider it matte. The colors swirl together to give the perfect glow to my face. It's not too orange or too brown. I also liked Milani's regular bronzers, but I wanted something w/out shimmer for the fall/winter b/c my blushes have shimmer in them. I like this better than my Cargo Matte Medium! I would rec this to any light skinned gals.

Concealers -LORAC - Undercover Lover
aimeeb12 10/29/2006 10:58:00 PM
This is the worst undereye concealer I have ever used. There is only 3 choices in colors and they are ALL overly yellow. It goes on like yellow paint and doesn't blend in well. The worst part was the caking and sinking into lines. I used an eye cream and primer before I put this on and still no luck. I looked in the mirror at work and I had cakey yellow clumps under my eyes. Plus, it's overpriced. Trust me for the price, I tried to work w/it several times and it failed. I would NEVER rec this product to anyone.

Liquid -LORAC - Oil-free foundation
aimeeb12 10/29/2006 10:50:00 PM
Well, the only positive comment I can make about this foundation is that it didn't break me out. Otherwise it's a pretty crappy foundation. The color selection is not great. I went w/ S2, which I feel was maybe a touch too yellow for me(For ref. I'm an NW20), but the lightest shade was ghostly. It provides absolutely zero coverage. It did nothing to tone down the redness in my blemishes. The consistency is awful. I know it is oil-free, but it is just too dry! It dried on my face before I even gotta chance to blend. Then it dried up in clumpy patches all over my face. It sort of gathers and cakes in spots all over my face, if that makes sense. I have fairly oily skin and I found it to be drying. Plus, it is too expensive for watered down glue, IMO. I wouldn't rec this to anyone.

Makeup Brushes -Prescriptives - Bronzer Brush
aimeeb12 10/12/2006 2:21:00 PM
I know I'm in the minority here, but this brush sucks. I've used it about four times & washed it twice. The bristles fell out of the damn handle!!!! I wouldn't be angry if I hadn't spent like $40 on this thing. I know I washed it well, because I used a gentle cleanser, then placed it on it's side, so the water wouldn't break up the glue. I bought a Sephora stippling brush in place of this. I just can't rec it for that fact alone :(

Treatments (Eye) -Pro Activ - Moisturizing Eye and Cream Set
aimeeb12 9/29/2006 11:21:00 AM
I love this eye cream & serum! I use the eye cream during the day and I find it to be very moisturizing. It's the perfect base for my under eye concealer. I use the serum at night. The serum is more like an oil & it penetrates quicker. I notice that my eyes aren't nearly as puffy in the morning when I dab this stuff on before bed. I don't really notice a scent to either one, but I'm not sensitive to those types of things. They are a bit pricey, but not compared to some of the other eye creams I've used. I've tried Vitamin E cream, Neutrogena, DDF, & Caudelie. They all pale in comparison to this duo. I highly rec both products!!!

Styling Products -John Frieda - Brilliant Brunette Shine Shock Leave-on Perfecting Glosser
aimeeb12 9/28/2006 7:42:00 PM
I really like this stuff. I bought it because my DS was out of the Finishing Cream. I actually like this stuff even more! I use it on my dry hair to add shine & smooth fly-aways. It does a wonderful job. My hair looks really shiny, smooth, and healthy. The smell is quite pleasant. Just be careful not to use too much on dry hair because it ends up looking greasy. I definitely rec this to brunette gals.
