Skincare - Body -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Formula with vitamin E-Swivel Stick
Iphy 7/25/2011 1:10:00 PM
I finally found one!! Woohoo. It was being sold for twice the price of other stores empty shelves ($3.79) at Ulta (shame on you, Ulta!) but I had a coupon/friend's and family thing so I desperately picked it up. It's so much better than the Cococare stick, I can't stress that enough. I use that stick for facial lines as to not waste it, and this one on my lips. Perfection!

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
Iphy 7/24/2011 10:13:00 PM
I do not like coconut oil for my skin, as I find it too greasy. It never soaks in well enough, and it leaves a strange feeling afterward. I had been massaging it on my nails/cuticles but I realized it weakened my nails to do so; my fault. I do, however, adore this on my hair. It's light, moisturizing, and almost volumizing. I apply this 30 minutes before my shower, all over, then rinse it like crazy in the shower and shampoo. My fine, thin hair looks bouncy and soft.

Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Topcoat
Iphy 7/24/2011 10:03:00 PM
I am really disappointed in this product. I used it as a base coat for a Sally Hansen Instra-Dri polish (so it wouldn't stain), as well as a top coat. Within an hour, I had lost two finger's worth of polish down to the bare nail from simply rinsing some dishes. It just peels right off. How hard is it to make a top coat? Horrible. Edit: I took off another lippie, I can't justify two. Hate all you want, but this product still sucks.

Lip Gloss -NYX - Mega Shine #131 Gold Pink
Iphy 7/23/2011 4:30:00 PM
I, like a poster below, kept doing a double take on my gloss because mine looks nothing like some of what is listed here. My Gold Pink is a light, rosey pink with gold shimmer. It is the most beautifully colored lip gloss I have ever worn. The formula is nice, not sticky, but also sort of dry to me. It's not perfect, but it's very very pretty and I would repurchase. Edit: I had to add a lippie for this gloss' staying power.

Shampoo -Matrix - Amplify Shampoo
Iphy 7/22/2011 1:05:00 PM
My color treated, fine, curly hair is prone to dryness. Over the past few years it has been thinning dramatically. I have been using this shampoo for a couple years now, because I cannot use anything that isn't intended to volumize. The smell of this is fabulous, it is clean and lightweight. The conditioner is nice as well. It's not life changing or anything, but it's a nice shampoo. I may stray from this soon/for a while, but I would repurchase.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon #252B Nutty
Iphy 7/21/2011 3:27:00 PM
Hearing the great reviews of this and loving one of the trios, I picked this up on sale for 94 cents. Cannot rate this too low for that reason. As someone said below, this shadow ended up silver on me, which is strange because it applied bronze. I was annoyed with the bronze color at first thinking it wasn't true to pan color, then I look in the mirror hours later and have flat out silver shadow on! I hate silver shadow lol. Otherwise it's smooth, pigmented, shimmery, and long wearing. Just not the color I hoped it would be.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Cococare 100% Cocoa Butter Stick - The Yellow Stick
Iphy 7/21/2011 9:52:00 AM
I went to four stores and could not locate the Palmer's Swivel Stick, so I caved and bought this thing, which had been staring at me mockingly at each empty shelf I found. Immediately, I didn't like that it could be opened in store...I checked through them, some were depleted, some beaten up, I found a decent one. This smells like chocolate, is hard but can be softened with the heat of your skin. This packaging is an abomination. They would have been better off just throwing the product in a zip lock bag. The cap destroys the product, the tube is too loose so the product moves around, and the cap is flat out hard to remove without cutting the butter or getting your hands nasty.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Mariah Carey Lollipop Bling-RIBBON
Iphy 7/20/2011 2:50:00 PM
At the local grocery store this perfume was riveted to a board, cap off, for sampling purposes. I remember seeing an ad for this with scent strips and thinking they were cute, feminine, and rather nice smelling! I jammed my fingers through the little jail display and spritzed on some of Ribbon. Thinking nothing of it, and not really noticing the scent, I went to Subway. *sniff, thinks to self* heh, someone in this Subway must have the oldest profession in the world!! *snooty face* IT'S ME! This is the cheapest, stinkiest perfume! I think it's the freesia, I just cannot stand it. Reminds me a ton of Escada Rockin' Rio (which I loved at first sniff then hate) but as if someone's biddy tramp great-Aunt redesigned it. Just too fruity and too freesia. Bleh! Sorry Mariah, I thought I would like this. Lucky I didn't buy.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Super Thick Lash Mascara
Iphy 7/20/2011 11:53:00 AM
I like the brush and the low price of this product, as well at its initial volumizing power, but it dried right up and became a goopy, useless paste in a couple weeks.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
Iphy 7/19/2011 10:03:00 PM
I've had this for a long time and it's one of the only products I have ever owned that has hit pan. I'm far too fickle with makeup to hit pan lol. I had slightly oily skin for a while and used this to set my foundation. Worked wonders. Suddenly I developed chronically dry skin and no longer needed this, but I always kept it around just in case. The Neutrogena 3in1 acne treatment has restored my skin to normal, and I use this again to set my erase paste. It's beautiful, matte, light, with medium coverage, it lasts, isn't cakey or too chalky. Keeps everything in place without drying or looking fake.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Walking on Eggshells
Iphy 7/19/2011 2:37:00 PM
I got this trio for $1.42, after finding a store that sold a wider variety of the line (Meijer). I'm really not a fan of lime greens, fuschias, or blues so this was one of the only other palettes I was interested in. I also have "Silent Treatment" and like it a lot. This trio is similar to that, but with warmer colors. I wear these under my Nyx Milk pencil. Browbone: Eggshell. All that can be said color wise haha! Smooth, not too chalky, very shimmery. Crease: A beautiful golden brown bronze. Very pigmented, blendable, smooth, no fallout whatsoever. Shimmery, flattering even for my cool skin tone. I used it as a liner in my inner corners as well as crease. Eyelid: a beautiful, beautiful shimmery peach with what seems like rose gold tones to it? Pigmented, smooth, blendable. One downside is how shimmery they all are. I have little definition, just a ton of smoked out tones of shimmer. It's beautiful, but not dramatic enough. I will play around with it, but these are great shadows. And for the price??? Great.

Lotions/ Creams -Palmers - Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula
Iphy 7/18/2011 10:18:00 PM
...I smell like a human chocolate bunny... *blink* When I read the reviews, I had no idea just how chocolately this smelled. I sniffed it in the store and was pleased by it, but I will say: it is intense! Not for the faint of...nose. I see a lot of people put off by smells in products, and if you have a fussy nose, do not buy this formula! It is good they have a fragrance-free version, but I will repurchase the Hershey syrup; I kinda like it. lol Anyway, more importantly, this stuff is nice. Softening, thick, feels moisturizing. It lingers on the hands a while, and needs to be rinsed off, but overall this is a great lotion. I will update to see if it improves my skin tone at all (not really looking for that, just a nice lotion) or if I see any changes. Good product! EDIT: I put this lotion on at 8pm yesterday. Today, by nearly 3pm, I still smell like chocolate. Unreal! lol 7/20/11: Oohhhh my skinnn! It's so beautiful and soft, I suspect this will fade my old stretch marks a bit, I am noticing them less after only two uses; no lie.

Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Intense Relief Hand Cream
Iphy 7/18/2011 10:55:00 AM
I like this product a lot. My mother has bought if for me for Christmas two years in a row (she forgot lol) and I have basically two full bottles still. I keep one in my purse, the bottle never opens or leaks. In the winter, my hands get so rough on the pad part above my thumbs, it's horrible. This lotion is sheer, absorbs fast, has no smell, and works. It softens skin so well. The squeeze bottle's hole is very small, as to concentrate the product, which is phenomenal and probably why I still have plenty of it. No waste! if I recall it's a bit pricey (like $7??) but probably very worth it. Better than Clinique's Moisture Glove by a mile.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment
Iphy 7/18/2011 9:12:00 AM
This is quite nice, and it's my first Color Icon palette upon hearing all the raves. This was $3 at Walgreens, and I will admit I have had a hard time locating these palettes (Seems no one sells Wet 'n Wild around here!), and I'd really like more of them. "Browbone": this color is beautiful in the pan, but it doesn't have much pigment. It is shimmery and pale pinky gold, not peach. I am disappointed in this, but it is still smooth and pretty. "Crease": Oh what a beautiful color. Plum back with gold medium-sized glitter and shimmer. Smooth, blendable, no fall out, just gorgeous. "Eyelid": A purplely mauve taupe with silvery shimmer. Blendable, ends up looking silvery, which I am not super in love with but it's very pretty. When I wear a thin layer of NYX Milk under this, it's stunning and long lasting. Bravo! *Hmm, looking at these pictures makes me think I got a funky pan of browbone color, mine doesn't get as pigmented as those.
