A great buy, my everyday brush set. I especially love the eyeshadow brush! Great quality, price and packaging.

Makeup Brushes -Sephora - Retractable Powder Brush

Its a reasonable brush for the purse or for travelling. The quality is probably one of the best for retractable brushes but it started to shed a bit after a couple of weeks of use.

Misc Beauty Tools -Shu Uemura - Eyelash Curler
Dong 3/24/2005 6:47:00 AM
I didnt really notice the difference from other curlers (Shisedo, MAC) until I went out in HK and bought it. It is the HG of all curlers, curls to the best angle to maximise the size of my eyes, even without mascara on, I use it!

Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Balancer
Dong 3/24/2005 6:44:00 AM
The only reason this great cleanser gets 4 lippies is because of the price, I realise that even though I only realistically need 1 or 2 pumps of this great oil, initially price did turn me off. Anyways, the cleanser is great for getting my make up off, even the hard stuff (waterproof eyeliner and mascara). Leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth.

Moisturizers -Jurlique - Calendula Cream
Dong 3/24/2005 6:38:00 AM
This is the best moisturiser I have ever used. I have dry cheeks and an oily t-zone. I am prone to get acne around the cheeks as opposed to the oily areas. This moisturiser has somewhat balanced out my skin, prevented breakouts, toned down the redness and when i fail to use it, I truly see a difference.

Loose Powders -Jurlique - Silk Dust
Dong 3/24/2005 6:35:00 AM
My absolute HG for powder! I have an oily t-zone which is really annoying during Sudney's humid summers. After buying and using this product (rose), I have had no need for touch ups at all! I have a mattified face all day! Thank God for this product. Sorry for the massive rave but it truly is great!

Palettes -Stila - Orient Bamboo Blossom Palette (Spring 2005)
Dong 3/24/2005 6:31:00 AM
I am a brunette with light brown eyes, this palette is great because all the colours are wearable as everyday makeup. My only qualm with this is that the lightest shade fails to really show up on me unless I layer it with my brush at least 3 times and even then its only a shimmer (bear in mind I'm quite pale). I now use a transformer to change the dark brown into an eyeliner for a more dramatic look on nights out.

Lotions/ Creams -Kiehls - Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
Dong 3/24/2005 6:24:00 AM
I bought this in the middle of a NYC winter, a climate that my hands from Sydney were not used to. My hands were at their worst, dry and cracking but within 2 or so days of using this product day & night, they were back to normal. The cream is thick but not greasy and its great even in hot weather.

Eyeliner -MAC - Teddy eye kohl
Dong 3/24/2005 6:19:00 AM
I love this colour, I have light brown eyes and have always used a black liner until a friend suggested this to me. The specks of gold and the way I am able to smudge it due to its great texture makes it a great everyday liner. It works well with neutral shadows as well as greens.

Lip Gloss -NARS - Frisky Summer
Dong 3/11/2005 9:55:00 AM
This is my absolute favourite lipgloss! I have been a Lancome Juicy Tube & MAC lipglass devotee until I was in the States and saw NARS for much more reasonable prices there. The texture is not sticky (I hardly felt it) and the shine is controllable by the amount you add (and that does not affect the colour). The shade is great for pale girls like me who don't feel like wearing red shades to stand out. Guy friends have commented that the shade is very kissable and feminine (that can't be too bad?!).

Blush -Stila - Heat Blush
Dong 3/11/2005 9:38:00 AM
I recently bought this at Changi airport for AUS$20, having only really used pinky/peach toned blushes, I bought this out of a recommendation from a friend. I absolutely adore the way it comes out on my pale skin. It has hints of bronze/terracotta, looking much more sunkissed than the pinks. However, if you really want the colour to come out, use a high quality brush and apply after powder and foundation.

Lotions/ Creams -Dove - Body Silk
Dong 12/23/2004 7:49:00 AM
It is whipped cream in a tub! I love the sensation after applying this stuff! In the extremely humid conditions during summer, its super quick absorbent and moisturising. The only qualm I have with this product is the packaging, it seems sort of unhygenic to have a tub but I guess you would not be able to have the same effects in a pump or bottle.

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Idole (Original) [DISCONTINUED]
Dong 12/23/2004 1:33:00 AM
After using Chanel, Bobbi Brown and Photogenic from Lancome, I had given up on finding the perfect foundation for my combination/acne prone & scarred face anytime soon. Luckily I spoke to a lady at the counter who steered me to this product over a year ago. I haven't used or considered another product since! Evens out my combination of oily t-zone & dry cheeks as well as providing the best coverage without concealer. In the sticky, humid Sydney summers, it stays on (a major feat in itself). For a more mattifying look however, the teint idole needs to be used with a powder to set it. EDITED (March 2005): I recently used this in a harsh winter climate and found it incredibly drying to my skin, it started flaking around my cheeks, have changed to Giorgio Armani MSF which seems to provide a much more moisturising coverage

Treatments -Pantene - Deep Fortifying Treatment

I really could not tell the difference between this and using the conditioner for dry and damaged hair. I guess maybe I was expecting too much.

Fragrances -Chanel - Coco Mademoiselle
Dong 4/19/2003 9:33:00 AM
I love this fragrance simply because it is femminine. One spray on the vital points lasts all day. I also find that many people do not know the scent as much so it feels unique compared to other more commercial brand fragrances.
