Polishes -Chanel - White Satin
rated 2 of 5

Big disappointment. I was lemming for this polish for a while and I was very happy to have snagged the last bottle from a Chanel counter. However, it's not what I expected. I thought it would be an opaque white, but it is very sheer: it took me approximately 3-4 coats for an opaque appearance. It was also extremely streaky and bubbled like crazy on my nails. This polish fell far below the usual quality of the Chanel line.

Lip Gloss -Chanel - Aqualumiere Gloss in Bubble Plum
rated 5 of 5

Beautiful color! A sheer, deep burgundy shade. This is my favorite lip gloss at the moment. It is completely wearable, soft on the lips & not greasy or sticky feeling at all. It is not as dark as it appears in the tube. I personally prefer the Aqualumiere glosses to the Glossimers and I will definitely buy Bubble Plum again.

Polishes -Bourjois - So Laque - 11 Rouge Diva
rated 5 of 5

Bourjois is quickly becoming one of my favorite nail polish brands, especially the So Laque line. Rouge Diva is a gorgeous, rich dark red. Only one coat is needed for opaque coverage, but two coats will truly deliver the dark vampy color of the bottle. What I commend is the lasting power of this polish. I have had this on my toes for approximately 2 weeks and there has not been a chip or peel in sight. The polish applies flawlessly, no streaking whatsoever and it has a beautiful glossy finish. I cannot recommend Rouge Diva, or any of the other polishes in the So Laque line, enough. This brand is about half the price of Chanel & Dior, but is just as good, if not better.

Polishes -Christian Dior - Golden Nugget
rated 5 of 5

Another Golden Nugget fan! Gold nail polishes are my achilles heel, and this polish is no exception. It is a gorgeous & sparkling deep bronze shade with beautiful microshimmer. In some lights it favors a metallic olive green color. Only one coat is needed to provide opaque coverage. And it lasts so long! I have been wearing this for nearly a week and there is not a chip or peel in sight. I do have a Sally Hansen top coat on, but I have used this same top coat with other brand polishes and I have still had chipping etc. so I attribute the staying power more to Golden Nugget than anything else. I highly recommend this polish, it is on the pricey side but it truly delivers in every aspect - beauty, uniqueness, and staying power.

Polishes -Chanel - Le Vernis #56 Sirene
rated 5 of 5

Sirene is one of Chanel's best polishes. It is a lovely deep salmon pink shade with gold shimmer. In some lights it comes across as a shimmering coral color. It applies smoothly, no streaking at all, and it only takes one coat to apply it. It is hard to find these days, but if you do manage to find a store still selling Sirene, I advise you to purchase it immediately. It is well worth it.

Polishes -Chanel - Kaleidoscope
rated 4 of 5

A beautiful, unique polish. The color is hard to describe. It is a frosted green/pale gold/silvery color all at once. There is a gorgeous micro shimmer that almost gives the appearance of glowing nails. This polish is truly one of a kind. I couldn't give it a 5 rating because I found that it chipped rather easily, even with a top coat. I also thought it appeared a little bit streaky after it had been applied. But because of the exquisite beauty of this polish, these things can and should be overlooked - it is that fantastic.

Polishes -Chanel - Facettes D'or Gold Fiction Nail Colour
rated 5 of 5
Cug198 7/18/2008 5:03:00 AM

I am in love with Gold Fiction. I know there is controversy over the $30 price - but this polish is completely worth it! In fact, I ordered a back-up of it yesterday because I am worried it will sell out. This polish transforms your nails into gold bars. The color is such a beautiful, rich, buttery gold. I know that some believe that it is dupeable, but I do not share that opinion. This polish is wonderfully unique and beautiful. It fits perfectly with the colors of the upcoming Fall 2008 season (gold, burgundy, chocolate, cranberry, forest green), but it is a great color for the summer as well. I cannot recommend Gold Fiction enough! It is worth every penny and then some.
