Eyeliner -Make Up For Ever - Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in Mat Black 0L
xandreaaa 1/16/2012 10:18:00 PM
this product's not too bad. it's very black and is more water-resistant than waterproof like it says. I find that I'm reapplying it after 3-4 hours on my waterline cause it fades into my last line. HOWEVER it doesnt smudge into my undereye area either. so I'm thankful for that. I already have a backup of it at home so it's a good product.

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hervana
xandreaaa 1/16/2012 10:09:00 PM
I had high hopes for this blush when I bought it about a month ago. I'm an NC25/30 and it barely shows up on my skin. I'm literally swirling my brush in this thing over and over and no real color payoff! disappointing. benefits products aren't cheap and the quality of some of their stuff is cheap as well. I love the WattsUp highlighter tho, that's use everyday. this blush was a little disappointing though!

Eye Shadow -NARS - Daphne
xandreaaa 1/9/2012 5:55:00 AM
love the colour payoff and the staying power of this eyeshadow. very ideal for dramatic looks but can be blended out to make a purple smoky look. however i have noticed that it is slightly chalky and does not blend as well as some shadows should but once you blend it out 2-3 times more its perfectly fine. and i love that it has no shimmer! NARS has so many shimmery things (coughOrgasmblushcough). will probably not buy again cause ill never run out of it

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
xandreaaa 1/9/2012 5:53:00 AM
i have the ysl touche eclat in #2 an #8. #2 is a bit light for my nc25/30 complexion but works very well for my slight undereye circles. #8 is more yellowy/gold and i find works better for my complexion. but the product itself is very nice and very useful for touchups and highlighting. the price point is evidently a big issue but ive had my #8 for over 6 months and product still pours out when i click it! And i use it at least 4x a week. will be purchasing again :)

Liquid -Smashbox - Studio Skin 15 Hour Wear Fdt.
xandreaaa 1/9/2012 5:49:00 AM
bought this foundation a month ago and have been using it pretty often! i have very dry skin and some foundations dry me out even after i use an effective moisturizer. this foundation further moisturizes my face but doesnt give me an oily/too dewy look. the coverage is medium but i can imagine it being able to build until full coverage as well. the formula isnt too thick and is easily blendable. this foundation gives my face a nice glow and still looks great after an 8 hour work shift and a dinner with friends after :) would highly recommend for people with dry skin!

Pressed Powders -Rimmel - Stay Matte Pressed Powder (ALL)

I've been using this powder to mattify my tzone for more than 2 years now. I have very dry skin but a shiny nose, and I buff in a small amount of this powder and my nose is no longer oily looking! great product. never used it all over my face though, so can't give a review on that aspect of the product.

Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black
xandreaaa 10/6/2011 5:05:00 AM
Bought this eyeliner for $5 at my local superstore. applies super smooth, super dark. which is great! it was quite waterproof as well as it stayed on my upper and lower waterline. however...im a contacts wearer and i noticed that when i wear this liner it smudges onto my lenses, causing my vision to be reeeally blurry. i had to take my contacts out during class to clean them cause i couldnt read the book in front of me. this eyeliner smudged onto my contacts like mad so i wont be repurchasing. sucks though i like how soft and dark it applies :( bah

Concealers -Bobbi Brown - Face Touch Up Stick
xandreaaa 6/20/2011 4:04:00 AM
bought this concealer 2 days ago at a bobbi brown makeup counter. I have dry skin and the makeup artist suggested this concealer for me to use around my nose and mouth areas. The colour matches quite well and Im very happy with that, but what i noticed by nighttime is that my face was all oily and shiny with it on! I never have problems being oily cause again i have dry skin right? This just made me look AND feel gross. ugh. Returning it asap today.

Concealers -MAC - Select Moisturecover
xandreaaa 6/14/2011 9:29:00 AM
I have eczema, (awesomely dry skin all over) so i pretty much get attracted to ANY makeup product that has something to do with moisture. I started using MAC's select cover-up concealer since the beginning of highschool, but over time that concealer was too sheer for me. I went back to mac and the MUA told me the moisturecover would be great for my dry skin. (especially since most concealers flake up the skin around my nose, which I cover due to redness) Indeed, the product was more moisturizing than other concealers Ive tried and I quite like it. BUTTTTT, I really wanna slap the MUA for giving me NC30 in this because their colours run darker than select cover-up, which I also have in nc30. I mentioned that I use my other one in nc30 and she didnt even bother colour matching me to moisturecover, which I should be a nc25 in. I use this concealer lightly now and blend with a bit of primer to ease my dry skin. Convenient packing and doe-foot applicator is nice. Not decided on repurchasing yet tho, its good but not amazing.

Foundations -Stila - one step makeup [DISCONTINUED]
xandreaaa 6/14/2011 9:21:00 AM
sooo i bought this foundation in Dec 2010 when a family member gave me a $20 gift card for my local mall. I immediately ran to sephora to see what one product i really wanted to buy but couldnt afford normally as a student. Stila always had a good rep with their stuff so I decided to try this foundation. I asked for a week's worth of sample product first and loved it. It's natural looking and not heavy on the face. The foamy-ness to this foundation made it fairly easy to blend on my dry skin with a damp brush. However...now that its been in my makeup stash for a good 6months i realized that sometimes when i pump the product out, it seems to have dried out. The "foam" shoots straight out like a stick and makes it such a pain in the ass to blend out. Sometimes it pumps out like the liquidy foam its supposed to, which is great. But lately I find that its always coming out all solidified and stuff. I'll still continue using it till im done, but not sure if I'd shell out full price for it the 2nd time around.

Eyeliner -Rimmel - Exaggerate Auto Waterproof Eye Definer (all)
xandreaaa 6/14/2011 9:06:00 AM
I've been using this eyeliner in black, dark blue and light blue (sorry forgot the actual names) for a loooooong time. I use it both for my upper and lower lash lines. Never smudges or fades for me, and the colour payoff is great. Have repurchased quite a bit, my 3rd year using it.

Great product, very nice colour pay-off IF you use it with a base and you apply it wet. mineralize eyeshadows dont really show up dry. would not purchase again because id never run out of it! love the colour it gives tho. i dont have to mix and blend purple and black to do a smokey eye, its all in one! loves it

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
xandreaaa 11/24/2009 3:28:00 AM
ive been using DDML with my clinique moisture surge, superdefense and all about eyes eyecream for over 3 years now. and i rly like it! its true that this yellow moisturizer can easily be replaced by a drugstore moisturizer for 1/3 of the price. but my mom insists on me using it so here i am...i recomment cetaphil's moisturizing lotion. $12 for a huge jug!

Lip Treatments -MAC - Tinted Lip Conditioner - Petting Pink
xandreaaa 11/24/2009 3:21:00 AM
luckily i bought this at a CCO down in seattle, cause it wouldnt be worth it for the full price. i think i got mine for $10. i use it everyday just to give my lips a little colour, which is nice. however the "conditioner" part is sorta...iffy. it doesnt condition my lips for more than an hour and i keep having to reapply it. overall, i would not purchase again because there are so many products out there that are better than it. and it's not cheap either. i love my aveeno lip conditioner, it is 10x better than this mac one AND its cheaper.
