Tarte's reformulation of their "Original" Lip Sheers is horrible! Not to mention the oxidized metal containers they come in. This five piece collection, "Lip Lock Around the Clock," should have been named, "Prune Sheers," as this is the effect to your lips when this product is applied. Dried, shrivled-up prunes! Well, at least prunes have color. Out of the five, only two of them had any pigmentation. I literally looked as if I had been embalmed! I could not see my lips. The more I put on, the dryer my lips became, along with a burning and itching sensation. The "Original," was so much better! They used to be glossy and moisturizing, now they are matte and dull. No more vanilla and chocolate flavor. Just an odd minty taste. The only good thing I could tell you about them is, the added SPF 15. But, they had to sacrifice an already teriffic product for this addition. I read the description on the back of the package they came in, and it said, "Great to wear under a gloss. "RED FLAG!" That's because there is absolutely no moisturizing properties to them. Will I repurchase? I don't think so! I have already sent them back to QVC! It would have been a nice courtesy though, if "Tarte," would have mentioned this change to their devoted customers. I don't like the SNEAKY way "Tarte" went about marketing this product. "Buy now, find out later Deception." How Rude!

If you own one shade of lip gloss from Bare Escentuals, you own them all! THEY ALL LOOK ALIKE. I kept ordering them hoping to find one with color, after thirty + tubes, I gave up. The next time BE comes on QVC, notice the models as they demonstrate the different shades on their lips, You literally can't tell one from the other! Very "OLD SCHOOL." Try Prescriptives Moonbeam if you crave color with class!!

Mascara -Bare Escentuals - Weather Everything Waterproof Mascara

I could not wait to do a review on this extradorinary mascara! Everytime I apply this I am just in awe! WOW!!! It seperates every lash in a deep rich black natural coat. There are black mascaras and then there is this! The color is "ORIGINAL," none like I have ever seen. It just makes your eyes POP! It reminds me of Pamela Anderson's lashes, only real! I always give my mascara the test of a side-view check. Sometimes a mascara looks great head-on, but, looks awful from the side, from all the flaking, crusty clumping and smudging. This gives you long, intense, whispy, beautiful lashes that stays put, no matter what event your life takes you to. There are two things I absolutely love from Bare Escentuals, and that is, Retro Eyeliner and Weather Everything AMAZING MASCARA! Both are HG beauty must-haves!

Bronzers -Mally Beauty - Sexy Tan Three pc Kit

I am very dissapointed in this tan enhancing kit from Mally. I ordered this because I love her Ethereal Princess Kit, which is gorgeous! And this gave me a chance to try her lip gloss! Mally's gloss, Bronze Goddess is SICKLY SWEET!! And NO COLOR! It should have been called CLEAR GODDESS! There is nothing I find more irritating than to have a gloss look sooo beautiful in the tube and go on absolutely clear! Everytime I put it on I get a migrane headache! My senses and this product do not agree! The other products included is an eyeshadow, Bronzilla, which I would only suggest to wear this if your skin is ORANGE!! And the blush, Hula Girl is nothing spectacular either, just BLAH! Unlike her other blushes. Again, think crayola orange. Unless I'm using a cheap Faux Tan, my skin does NOT tan orange! The metalic pouch is adorable!

Ladies if you need an EXTREME hair make-over, then this kit is for You! I have short-layered, chemically treated, baby-fine, thin straight hair. The worst of all combinations! I really didn't expect much from these products. So many companies promise one thing or another but fail to deliver. I have to say, the results were remarkable! My mother wanted to know what I had done to my hair, she said it looked great! My son asked if I had been to the salon! I could not believe the difference in the appearance of my hair. The luster I once knew was back. My layers were more deifined, I had more volume, thicker texture, and best of all, my hair has quit falling out considerably. Now I don't know what Philosophy's claim is on this issue, but for me, this new innovative hair care treatment has really proven to be beneficial. I am so grateful Philosophy has stepped up to the plate to offer these anti-aging bio peptides not only for our skin, but also for our hair. I really think this is going to revolutionize the hair care industry. Where others fall short, Philosophy delivers!

Skincare - Face -Philosophy - Deluxe Traincase Skincare Kit

There are two reasons I purchased this Deluxe Traincase Color and Skincare 10 Piece kit, NEW, from Philosophy. first, I love everything Philosopy makes and second, when I saw QVC's model, Marie, after she applied the products, I could not believe how stunning she looked. I have seen her demonstrate many beauty and skincare lines before, but I must say she looked absolutely beautiful. Even at $130.00 anniversary priced I bought it. That being said, the train case is a metallic baby blue color, that is jam-packed full of goodies, that zips both around the top for your cosmetics, and bottom for your skincare. Although this is a unique concept, I wish they would have attached a mirror in the 6x8in. cover. The products included are: 1. 4oz Purity, hands down best facial cleanser. Deep cleansing, removes make-up in a snap, and is non-drying . 2. 1 oz. Hope In a Jar, it's like giving your skin a drink of water. Contains lactic acid for exfoliation and beta-glucan for a healthy rosy glow. 3. .25 Hope In a Tube Eye and Lip cream, this is a high density formula created for paving down wrinkles around the eyes and mouth. 4. .29 Big Gorgeous Eyes, this has to be the best mascara I have ever used. However I took off a lippie because it makes my eyes burn. Seperates lashes, gives them a long dramatic look, nice depth, and does not smudge. I slept in this and only woke up with a few flakes. The wand itself is comparable to Prescriptives' False Eyelash wand, only a shorter version. 5. .22 SN Lip Gloss Soft Peach, this should have been named Nude Peach as it is colorless, but is non-sticky and has a fresh minty taste. 6. .22 All-In-One Eye Pallete- Sunset Eyes, are three Shimmering fingerpaints of rose, deep bronze, and beige. Normally I prefer powdered shadows, but these are fun and easy to use! Also included is a dark brown eyeliner that quickly fades away after a couple of hours. And a cream-to-powder eyebrow tint in light taupe that's not bad in a pinch, but unfortunately does not last long either. A double-ended shading/liner brush is also housed in this cute little mirrored compact. 7. SN Lip Pencil in Natural, I have searched for a long time for a color that matches my lips and this is it! 8. .12 SN Airbrush Blush Bronze, unlike Philosophy's SN foundation, you cannot take the lid off to use a brush. You must apply by buffing it on with the attached sponge applicator. Just turn the componet clockwise to dispense and counter clockwise to close. Goes on sheer but is buildable if you like a more sun kissed look. Very little shimmer, no shine, no orange tint, and sooo natural. Gives your face a glow from within. 9. 100 Blotting Sheets, these are convenient for your purse or gym bag for a quick fix but nothing a kleenex wouldn't also accomplish. 10. And now the STAR OF THE SHOW! DRUM ROLL PLEASE! SN Poreless, Flawless, Tinted Foundation Primer with an spf of 15. I cannot go without this AMAZING product. It puts your complexion at soft focus, smooths out lines, wrinkles, and skin discolorations. It has a whipped texture with a satin feel. A little goes a long way, so only use a pea sized amount. Glides on your skin effortlessly! And although this has a slight peach tint, there is no visible trace of color once applied. You can wear this with or without foundation! You might consider purchasing this kit for convenience, especially if your going on vacation this summer. As it is complete, and has everything you need from start to finish!

This Bronze and Gold 3pc Collection from Prescriptives makes you look as though you've just stepped from the pages of a magazine! This was offered on QVC for their third anniversary. The Sunsheen Bronzing Trio, (Medium Shade Offered) comes in three hot luminous shades of chocolate, caramel, and apricot. Next, is Solar Gold eyeshadow, a beautiful sheer wash of golden glimmer. And the final touch of Sunset lip balm that smells and tastes like fresh cut summer melons, makes it all come together for a walk on the red carpet! Very rich in color and high shine. You glow Girl!

Concealers -Philosophy - Supernatural airbrushed color correctors

I have been on a concealer quest for about a year. Although this was first on my list to try, I bought it last. The Supernatural Airbrushed Color Correctors are WONDERFUL! Usually with concealers in the past, they were either too pasty white, wore off quickly, too thick or thin, my eyes teared, and they always made me look dreadfully tired. Yes I was looking for the PERFECT FORMULA. It was in the 90's today, and I noticed that my concealer looked as fresh as when I first applied it in the morning. It had not creased or budged one bit. It's very smooth and creamy, yet opaque at the same time. So soothing to the eye area. Feels hydrated and refreshed! And with three (3) colors to choose from, you can use them alone or mixed together for an airbrushed finish. I can see why this won an award!

Eyeliner -Mally Beauty - Shaping Secret Eyelift Wand

I have been waiting for someone to do a review on this new product of Mally's for a long time before I put out the expense. But I became inpatient and got it any way. With anticipation, I couldn't wait to see if this new concept really worked! I have always seeked the cat-eye look. Hold the pencil vertically and then glide the "Non-Pulling" (yeah-right) formula across the outer half of your top lash line. Then turn the pencil horizontally, and from the inner corner of your eye, meet the two lines! Now, if you really want the look of "Someone Just Punched your Lights Out" just apply the "Oversized" powder dabber on top of it! I looked like I went a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson! My eyelids literally hurt from this product. My guess is, it's from all the tugging I had to do in order to get the product on evenly. And when I finally did get it on, it transfered up into the crease of my eyes, even though I wore an eye-base. One word to describe this make-up artist secret, HORRID! It should have remained a secret! I think Mally should take a step back and really ask herself, will the average woman be able to apply this with the precision that it takes? Or better yet, have a group of women sit in front of her and actually try to apply this correctly with the given written instructions. I am sure with months of practice they might be able to. As with all of Mally's products, it's hit and miss. This is definitely a miss. Don't get me wrong, I love most of Mally's make-up, just not this. The search continues!!!!! UPDATE: This is the first product of Mally's that the packaging didn't hold up. It fell apart within 3 weeks.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! After having this set of Lip Quickies for 6 months, they turned into a gritty-sand-type texture. And for $50.00 + dollars, I expected them to last longer! I notified Bare Escentuals about this problem with their product. They didn't seem to care. After all, why should they? As long as they made a sale!!! GARBAGE!!!

Other -Mally Beauty - Ethereal Princess Collection

Mally is a genius! I could not believe the way this beautiful pink metallic pouch was designed to hold this "Angelic Trio." The lipstick Tulip is a sheer pink. Normally I do not like "sheer" as there is not enough color. But, This is just too sweet! The Silverdollar eyeshadow is luminous! I thought it was going to make my eyes look washed out, but again I was pleasantly surprised! Mally's blush in Springtime is my absolute favorite of her blushes! It is a pinky/mauve shade and is very flattering to my fair/light skin tone. But, use a light hand when applying this because it seems to be slightly more pigminted than her Shimmer, Shape, and Glow collections. The first evening I wore this out, I received many compliments on how nice I looked! Ethereal Princess is a definite winner for Mally!

FANTASTIC SPOT CONCEALER! I cannot use BE foundation because I breakout terribly! I have had few blemishes in my lifetime, and I could not figure out why over the past year I have had MAJOR breakouts? It couldn't be the foundation? It's supposed to be good for your skin! So I just kept on using it, thinking it was me, until I read the reviews here on mua about the ingredients! THANK YOU! I quit using it and now my skin has gone back to normal. I still use the concealer, Bisque, (FOR FLAWS ONLY!) STAY AWAY FROM APPLYING IT UNDER THE EYES, unless you want to age yourself! First, spot conceal with a small brush, any blemishes, post-acne scarring, or broken capillaries. Then, to achieve a smooth flawless canvas for applying the rest of your make-up, take a good quality fluffy Kabuki brush, and swirl a SMALL amount of Bisque onto it and tap. Gently buff this over your entire face, including eyelids, NOT UNDER EYES, in a circular motion. This step will help to set your concealed areas and you will need less foundation. Also, it will cover any imperfections you may have missed and any redness in your skin. Your face is now ready for the rest of your cosmetics! Hope this helps!

Foundations -Philosophy - the supernatural airbrush canvas

I have had this product for about a month. I put off doing a review because I could not figure out what all the rave was about. I have light skin with pink undertones. I wasn't quite sure which color to order. So per Phylosophy's E-mail, I ordered the "NEW" Beige for (Light to Medium skin/Pink Undertones.) This was just OK. Nothing great. I then ordered Natural (Fair to Light skin/Yellow Undertones.) WOW! What a difference! The yellow base in this foundation counteracts my pink skintone, and therefore gives me the most perfect match in a foundation that I have ever had, without looking jaundace! I took a mirror and went outside just to make sure it all blended evenly from my neck down. So I guess the KEY for making this product work is COLOR! Although this is a self-adjusting product, in my case, color made a big difference. With that being said, I have used a flawless application brush, a kabuki brush and the attached sponge. (SLIPS OFF FOR EASY WASHING!) Though the brushes give a nice finish, the trick to getting that air-brushed canvas look is using the all too dredded-sponge applicator, (That most every one dislikes), in a circular motion. It takes some getting used too, but in the long run it's worth the effort! Overall, I do believe, the search for "MY" perfect "Mineral" foundation does end here!
