Gripes: Horrible packaging that makes it impossible to squeeze any product out, and after a few uses, the tube gets deformed-looking. It's hard to wash off and if you have any bumpy areas, including ashy patches and pimples, this is get stuck on it and be impossible to remove. Otherwise, I love the smell. It makes my skin feel tight, but doesn't dry it out too much. It really cleans my skin and is great to leave on overnight to make my skin less inflamed.
Eyeliner -Prestige - Classic Kohl Eyeliner in E-71 Rhapsody

What a gorgeous, deep color, and it goes on smoothly and with lots of pigment. This is high quality, great texture. Sadly, it rubs off onto my lower eyelid and I look like a raccoon.
I meant to buy the regular, not waterproof, but I like this one. It dries quickly and doesn't weigh down my lashes, and it lasted me through a shower today. I can put on as many coats as I want with no clumping worries. Great, I just don't like the big chunky tube. Update: It's the first mascara with the rubber type brush I've tried, but this is the best mascara I've ever used. I don't know about the ones Maybelline and Rimmel make, but this one is phenomenal. I can put on 10 coats and not worry about my lashes sticking together, and it makes them so long and thick, and holds curl.
Masks -Lumene - Arctic Touch Purifying Peat-Facial Mask

I live in a dorm, and I just walked from the bathroom across the hall to my room and scared two girls walking down the hall. But I really like this. It just seems really natural, which makes me feel good. The first ingredient listed is peat, which means it's actually a peat mask, not some synthetic crap with a little bit of the good stuff. I'm not feeling the scent, which smells really natural/herbal and kind of stinky, like dirt with some decomposing stuff in it haha. But it's not a big deal, and it makes my skin clearer and softer.
This is pretty similar to Cetaphil to me. It seems a bit more moisturizing but a little more irritating, if that makes sense. It's more expensive than Cetaphil and the packaging is plain. I will buy Cetaphil next time.
I love this. The texture is runny, so you have to be careful pumping it out and getting it onto your face and not the floor or your clothes. It's brownish in color, which can be kind of off-putting, but it has a slight caramelish scent that makes it pleasant to use. I think I'd prefer it unscented, though, but I don't know if the smell is from a special ingredient or if it's added. It makes my skin look more even. I wish the bottle were bigger and the price lower.
The way this is packaged makes it hard to work, even with a steady hand. Maybe the brush is too flimsy or the wand is too long, I don't know, but it's hard to get it in the right place. It will flake after it's dry. and you'll have to remove all of it with a eye makeup remover and reapply; adding more to the blank spaces where it flakes off will make it more lumpy and flaky :(
Cleansers -Olay - Hydrating Daily Facials for Normal to Dry Skin

This actually was really hydrating, but they broke me out. I like the smell and texture of the cloths. They removed makeup well and left me feeling very exfoliated. I just wish I didn't break out. My skin usually isn't sensitive at all.
This wasn't the worst I've tried, but it wasn't very moisturizing, dried too quickly to rub in evenly, and smelled bad. The color was orange.
Self Tanners -Hawaiian Tropic - Island Glow Daily Moisturizer [DISCONTINUED]
wheat_thin636 12/25/2007 11:00:00 PM
I like this for my body. It gives a nice, even brown color instead of the orange I usually get. I get dark very easily, but I recently left the islands for Chicago, and I never knew I could get so pale! The complaint I have is that I can't use it on my face. Usually, the little face versions of self-tanners have the same ingredients (yea, it's stupid) and I have no trouble using the body versions on my face, but this stuff made my face red. My skin is really insensitive. i could probably put acid on it and it'd be fine, so I'm surprised this stuff made me react. I didn't break out, though, and the flushing was kind of pretty. So I'd buy it again. A lot of other reviewers complained about the smell, but I really like it. I'm also sad it doesn't make me as dark as I am used to being, but it's a small price to pay for the believable color.
Skincare - Face -Kinerase - Kinerase C6 Peptide Intensive Treatment

This just didn't really do anything, except maybe moisturize a little. It smelled bad. I don't really want to pay that much for a moisturizer, but maybe it's a good line preventer? I'm younger and don't have any lines yet, so I don't know if this is good at minimizing lines, but it smells bad enough to make me throw it out.
Foundations -Stila - Natural Finish Oil Free Makeup
wheat_thin636 12/24/2007 2:11:00 AM
My only gripe is I wish this came in a pump so I didn't have to dip my brush into the bottle. I love Stila for always having a shade to match my skin. I love this. Not too moisturizing, not drying, just the right thickness, and keeps my skin matte for a while. I'd probably shop around for another foundation just because I love to explore makeup, but I'd keep one of these on hand.
Liquid -Sue Devitt - 70% Triple Seaweed Gel Foundation
wheat_thin636 12/24/2007 2:09:00 AM
This may be too moisturizing if you wear a medium to heavy moisturizer under it, but if you don't have oily skin, this is good. Don't wear it over primer though; it will lump up and sit on top.
Mascara -Maybelline - Volum' Express Turbo Boost Waterproof
wheat_thin636 12/24/2007 2:06:00 AM
This is really heavy and good if your lashes are thick already, but if you have thinner, wispier lashes, this might not be a good idea, as it's very creamy and doesn't dry quickly enough to lock in curl. At least it's not clumpy.
Makeup Forever's Full Coverage concealer is the best. This is OK, but it doesn't last forever, melts off by the end of the day, and doesn't cover too well. It's kind of greasy or something.
