Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Blending Eye Pencil - Black Chrome
unseelie_fae 1/29/2009 1:15:00 PM
I actually got this in brown. Anyway, it is a very waxy product, low on pigment. I like the smudger end and everything, but it's cheap crap. I bought it because I was broke and my eyes looked so bare and were watering....I needed waterproof. I don't think I'll throw it out, but neither will I repurchase. Edit: due to the waxiness, this can at least be used as an eyebrow product. Smooth with brush after applying.

Mascara -Wet 'n' Wild - h2o proof (waterproof) mascara
unseelie_fae 1/29/2009 1:11:00 PM
Bah, what the hell was I thinking? Oh that's right, I was broke. I needed a waterproof mascara. This stuff is very thin, makes only the slightest coat on the lashes, and easily comes right off onto your lids as you apply. Cripes. I should have just plain spent more. Anyway, I will try this as a waterproof coating over regular mascara before I give up on it totally. Edit: This does make a good liquid liner, like another reviewer suggested. Use a small, firm, slanted brush and collect the product from the tip of the mascara wand.

Mascara -Maybelline - Sky High Curves Extreme Length and Curl [DISCONTINUED]
unseelie_fae 1/19/2009 2:59:00 PM
This is a pretty good mascara. The curl wasn't that dramatic and only lasted about 4 hours. Then again my lashes are very straight and hard to curl so it may not be that way for everyone. No lumps, no flaking, no smudging, no irritation. Long feathery look, reasonable price. A relief after all the crappy mascaras I've tried lately!

Mascara -Rimmel - Glam Eyes
unseelie_fae 1/18/2009 8:28:00 PM
This mascara looks beautiful outside and promises ultra volume and high definition. Doesn't deliver on the volume. When you first get it, it does just about nothing and is very thin. After a couple weeks it gets thicker. (editing again here) and after a couple more weeks it starts clumping, flaking, and running. I gave this a good old college try, really I did. It sucks, that's the bottom line.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
unseelie_fae 1/16/2009 2:22:00 PM
This stuff flakes madly the instant after I apply it. Also, the gigantic brush and tube are a pain to handle. It takes several strokes to coat the lashes...and then 5 minutes later your eyes are full of annoying flakes. I bought this instead of Maybelline Colossal because the Colossal tube broke on me only 1 month after purchase. But these flakes are completely unacceptable. I'm going back to Rimmel!

Treatments -Nioxin - Bionutrients
unseelie_fae 11/20/2008 3:18:00 PM
This is a decent product. I have female pattern hair loss and the Nioxin has pretty much stopped it from getting any worse. I just can't give it more lippies because none of the lost hair grew back...it just didn't get any thinner. This is a maintenance product for me. I am of course on the lookout for anything that will help me grow the hair back thicker. (minoxidil didn't do it, bah.) When your hair is black, seeing white scalp through it is not so fabulous. :/

Moisturizers -Garnier - Nutritioniste Ultra Lift Anti-Wrinkle Firming Moisture Cream SPF 15
unseelie_fae 11/20/2008 3:09:00 PM
I think this is a good product. I have been wearing it for about 3 weeks now. No breakouts or irritation. Does not feel greasy or weird. Has SPF 15. Pump dispenser is good. Price....meh...I think they charge a bit too much for the amount. Wrinkle wise, I actually do see a difference! I didn't really expect to. I'm very skeptical about these things. But, indeed, the lines are not as deep and no longer is my makeup settling into them. Skin is smoother all over my face. I'm 40 years old so as you can imagine this is an important issue for me right now. The only thing not totally positive about this is that foundation is a little harder to apply with it on. The sponge "drags" a bit. However, I can overcome this by using a lighter touch.

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Aspirin Mask
unseelie_fae 11/11/2008 3:56:00 PM
No, no, this is horrible! It chemical burned my face and caused awful redness, swelling and pain (no, I am not allergic to aspirin. I can swallow it no problem.) This "mask" will eat your skin off! And it didn't cut down on zits, either. Never again!

duuuuuuuuuuuuude. This smells so very good. It's sweet and spicy. I only could not give it 5 lippies because it must be reapplied every few hours.

This didn't do anything for my lines. It's basically just an expensive moisturizer. blah.

I'm actually pretty disappointed. It feels thick and rich going on but once it has dried my skin is still dry and not improved. :( Will not repurchase.

This stuff smells like mosquito repellent, but does not actually work to repel mosquitoes. Blech. Do not like at all.

Powder -Avon - Smooth Mineral Make-up
unseelie_fae 11/11/2008 2:17:00 PM
This worked really well for me. I accidentally ordered one shade too light, but next time I will know. The texture was soft, no irritation, no itching, flawless porcelain look. A suggestion: for those with application problems using mineral powders, try a large flocked sponge instead of a brush. It's so much easier and faster, makes less mess, and also easier to control how much you apply IMHO.
