First time I could do a classy bun (meaning one that doesn't look like it belongs to a mental patient/cat lady) on my very thick fine-textured curly hair. Two were enough but I think I'm gonna get a 2nd set for more style variety and in case I lose them. Price is a a bit steep at $6CAD for a set of 2 but they do the job.
Reviewing the Gradual self-tanner....steeply priced at $15.99CAD this still gave me an orange cast after a couple of layers. However when using only one layer I looked very healthy, if not as tan as I wished (I may be too pale to pull it off). Non-streaky, even if I applied it rather carelessly.
I have ashy medium brown hair and the Medium Brown color is just a bit too reddish for me. It is however less so than the previous pencil I used so I'll stick to this one. Also, it stays put better and doesn't fade.
Not very good...I wear pencil eyeliner + waterproof mascara + brow pencil + eye shadow and this removes mostly the brow pencil and shadow with maybe 75% of the mascara and almost none of the eyeliner (and this after being brutal to my eyes and swiping 10 times and rubbing it in well). Also I wear contacts and this leaves a greasy film that clouds my vision for minutes AND gets my eyes irritated and bloodshot! To the trash, I'll stick to my Neutrogena Oil-Free Remover.
Been using it since a few days ago daily on my t-zone and already blackheads and clogged pores have greatly diminished... I do not use it on my cheeks, only on the oily areas. This has kind of a wet gel texture and disappears fast into the skin. I expect this tube to last a very long time.
This very ordinary day cream cost me $60CAD and since it's called 'Wrinkle Repair' I expected some repairing action to happen... I have two fine forehead wrinkles that are still exactly the same after I finished using up that cream, even tried for weeks to use it on only half of the wrinkles' length as to try to compare with the untreated half and of course zero results... It did nothing at all. I think the high price is making people think it's a better product than it really is. It moisturized fine but then again so does cheap Nivea.
Powder -New York Color - Smooth Skin Pressed Powder

No need to buy froufrou pressed powders when this is available. Cheap and effective. I do not use the enclosed sponge, I use my blush brush as it looks more natural. I like that it has no color. Packaging is junk but I don't go around knocking it on walls and such, and for $3CAD I'm not complaining.
There's nothing special about this waxy concoction. It's overpriced and one must reapply way more often than other less expensive brands. A few points only for the cute packaging.
Treatments -Olay - Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir

At 35$CAD this product is expensive for a drugstore one but it delivers. My skin is noticeably smoother, texture is improved, clogged pores are almost gone and I've only been using it for 2 nights. I do not need a lot at once so it should last for months. One little thing is that the bottle looks nice in the store but is actually made of plastic, could be made of glass instead, at that price it should be more chic. Will update rating if bad effects appear. Edit: this hasn't improved my skin enough for the cost and hassle. Downgraded rating.
Moisturizers -Olay - Olay Complete Ageless Skin Renewing UV Lotion SPF 20

Weirded out by all the bad reviews....this works ok on my combo skin. I use the Olay Complete Spf 15 lotion as well and it makes me a bit too shiny. This one leaves me shiny as well, unfortunately.
I used Feria in a myriad of shades. Copper Shimmer 74 used to be my favorite, but since I went back to my natural color I realize they have expensive product for little payoff... I used T53 twice in a row (medium ash brown) and the color faded in less than 2 weeks between my use of clarifying shampoo and regular shampoo (no more than twice a week overall). I switched to Garnier Nutrisse #51 (Medium Ash brown) and the color has held much longer so far.
I can't quite get this product to foam in a productive fashion but it still does a thorough job, especially in the PM before a good night cream. It takes off waterproof mascara just fine. I usually use Neutrogena's Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover beforehand but i think i will not repurchase the latter since this cleanser does a great job on its own.
Leaves my combination skin a bit too shiny... it does hydrate well and feels very good on my skin... i don't wear any kind of coverage on my skin but might get some pressed powder to tone down the shine. You just need to adjust how much lotion you put on your skin, i suppose.
Fantastic scrub, doesn't scratch or leave skin raw/dry, yet really cleans up good and also rinses well. My previous favorite was La Roche-Posay, and this for a 1/3 of the price actually does a better job.

A very nice, effective body wash. Doesn't dry out skin, smells very neutral/unisex, suds greatly, bottle looks elegant instread of flashy/flowery. My favorite.
