There seems to be something about Annick Goutals fragrances that don't work with my chemistry I guess, as now after trialing two of her perfumes (Gardenia Passion) I seem to find whilst these fragrances smell nice in the bottle when I spray it on me all the niceness seems to go and I get a pepper smell. This in the bottle seemed like a white floral (not a strong white floral however) with a slight creaminess and vanilla kind of smell to it with something else that I couldn't place, anyhow though when I sprayed it on me however it seemed to develop into a peppery smell with a very slight floral smell in the backround that slowly dissapeared into an overwhelming pepper, this perfume did it more so then the other perfume of hers that I have. I ended up swapping Songes as I just couldn't stand how it smelt on me.

This is a nice smelling fragrance but I can't seem to get over a fakeness or chemical-ness in the scent? I don't entirely know how to explain it, when I apply it to my wrist it seems to warm up and turn into a musky with very slight white floral smell. I just can't seem to like it though.

I wanted to like this as I thought the descriptions and names were so unique and beautiful sounding. But this stuff smells just like medicine, and whilst it does seem to go through stages of developing on my wrist the medicinal smell is the strongest, all it seems to do for me is invoke a memory of a medicine my mother used to get me to take when I was little but can't remember the name of.

I think I've just found my new signature scent. I wanted something different from the overload of strong fruity smelling scents out there that every girl seems to be wearing lately (cross between white flowers and fruit punch bowls). I ended up deciding I wanted a perfume that smelt just like a red rose (after picking roses with the elderly at work lol) and this perfume is truly the closest thing to the scent of a rose that I've ever found (the ladies in perfume shops must hate me, whenever I spy a perfume counter I stand there sniffing and spraying cards forever then walk away buying nothing) and I've tried and purchased a LOT of perfumes over the years. It truly is a beautiful and feminine scent, and I like the idea that I won't be smelling exactly like everyone else.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base

Ok, in the shop when I tried this stuff on my hand I thought it was going to be great, as it made my hand look like someone had taken a blur brush from paint shop and painted my hand where I had applied this product. On my face however it was a different thing, now my main aim is disguise my huge pores and is pretty much how I judge primers and makeup based on their ability to do so, after that I worry about lasting power and things like colour and whether they'll work with other products (foundation, powder). Anyhow, when I used this on my face it disguised my pores a little bit (not as much as I'd like), but its lasting power for me was well crap, I tried to put on a little bit of finishing powder hoping it'd blur my pores a little more and make this stuff last a little longer and nope, I walked away for five minutes to do my hair and came back to the mirror and it was like oh hello pores I see this product has only ended up sinking into you, and it gave my skin a not so nice shine/oily look to it as well. And on top of all that this stuff broke out my skin, my skin is going through a bit of a freak out stage at the moment but I had it on its way to clearing up until I used this stuff, so really I kind of hate this product right now and would not purchase again.

I love the smell of gardenia flowers. This smells somewhat like them when I sniff the bottle but still not true gardenia for me however it is a nice enough scent. The reason I'm not to particularly fond of this scent though is when I spray it on myself I think my body chemistry or something effects it as I get a very noticeable pepper smell that overwhelms the beautiful florals to the point that I can't stand it (I once owned Songes as well and had the same effect when I sprayed it on myself so I guess Annick Goutal fragrances just don't agree with me).

I'm not great at describing scents as in I couldn't pick all the individual notes and tell you what they were like others seem to be able to do in perfumes. With that being said, to me this smelt like I'd gone shopping and sprayed a floral/musky perfume scent on a card then popped it into my leather handbag, then after a week or so later upon cleaning out my leather handbag I find that there's a lingering smell of floral and musk that have combined with the leather smell of the bag. Personally for me I didn't find this scent a must have so thank goodness I only received a small sample as a gift. It was an unusual fragrance I'll give it that, but for me the leather and floral smell in this perfume seemed to compete with each other with the leather coming off with a slight upper hand, and well whilst I don't take offense to the smell of leather it doesn't mean I want to cloud myself in its aroma and be stuck with it all day.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer

This stuff didn't work for me, I've tried a lot of primers and for me this stuff is crap, it's a clear gel so obviously it goes on clear so it doesn't help with discoloration, I didn't notice my makeup lasting really any longer with it, I still got oily, and it did absolutely nothing for my pores (as in make them appear any smaller with this on), and it didn't help my makeup go on any better/smoothly. So what priming qualities its meant to have kind of left me baffled. So a big NO to repurchasing.

Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm

I do like this lip stain, for me compared to other lip stains I have tried its lasting power is ok and it didn't rub off the center off my lips leaving me with a ring of color like some other stains have so that's a bonus. Only thing I didn't like about it was the balm, I wish you could wind it up and down like normal balms because the second time I used it when I was in a hurry doing my make up when I went to put the lid back on I snapped the balm straight off. So for that I won't be repurchasing since I'd like to try better packaged stains instead of feeling like I just wasted part of the product.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Firstly I rate this 3.5 except you can't pick that as an option when rating lol. I wish I had had such fantastic results as everyone else, but for my face, which I originally wanted to try the whole EVO for it did nothing more then what a regular moisturiser would do. I have oily acne prone skin that is currently going nuts from stopping the pill, I read other peoples reviews about this helping or stopping their acne and so I thought I'd give it a go, and whilst it didn't do anything bad for my skin, it most definitely didn't do any good for it either, my skin just still kept going nuts. I've given this a 3.5 though because as a moisturizer for my legs (which get pretty dried out from my tendency to almost sit on the heater when its cold) this works well, it keeps them from getting that dry itchy feeling and its cheap and its natural. I haven't tried it in my hair yet but when I do I'll update.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Lucas' Papaw Ointment

I've been using this for years now, I use it on my lips as it stops them from getting dry and cracking, and I also use it around my eyes after eye cream or by itself as even though I have very oily skin the skin around my eyes is so delicate that at the outer edges I can get red splits if I don't use something to protect my skin, and this has been the only stuff (along with Dr.Hauschka eye day cream - its more of a balm really though, but it costs so much I only use it when my eyes react to something and flare up bad) that I can use around my eye area without the skin around my eyes reacting or causing my eyes to water or sting. I think also because I have been using this for so long to help protect the skin around my eyes that it has helped stop wrinkles around my eye area as I'm 25 and I have absolutely no wrinkles on my eye area where friends the same age as me already have fine lines starting. I'll continue to purchase this stuff for years to come.

Ok, the first time I ever tried this was as a sample sachet I found in a magazine, I used the sample and the next morning my skins redness had calmed down a lot and my face looked kind of glowy and even and the dry patches I had from a reaction to another product had gone over night, so I went straight out and purchased a bottle. Now I don't know if you can buy a bad batch/bottle possibly, but I never got the same results again as I experienced with the sample (and I store my skincare in the fridge so its not like it got heat affected or anything). I've almost finished the bottle now, I tried using it on its own for a while and it just left my skin feeling dehydrated and with no visible improvement to appearance, I tried using it under a basic moisturizer and it still did nothing, when my skin had another reaction like the one it had when I used the sachet originally when I woke up my skin was still red flaky/oily (I have oily acne prone skin thats also sensitive, I have to be careful when trying to treat my acne problem that I don't cause my skin to flare up going red and flaky). I don't want to spend so much money again just to test whether I'd brought a dud bottle or if this product just doesn't work for me, so I won't be repurchasing.

Lips -Bourjois - Rouge Hi-Tech Water-based liptint [DISCONTINUED]

I don't really like this lip tint for a few reasons. the first reason is the packaging, I always feel like I'm going to spill it and stain the carpet or it'll leak in my makeup bag, its runny as, I wish they had made it as a pen version (I have one in another brand in a pen version, way easier to use). It also doesn't last that long (for a lip stain it shouldn't really budge) but this stuff comes off after a few drinks and leaves you with a stain only on the edges of your lips which looks kind of funny. I gave it two stars because it doesn't dry my lips out. Other then that to me there is better lip stains out there so I won't be repurchasing.

Lip Gloss -Bourjois - Rose Exclusif Lip Gloss

I'm kind of a lip gloss/lipstick junkie because I have so many and use them all the time. I usually use this whenever I go out, this comes out clear at first then on me then it goes a really nice strong kind of bright pink shade that suits my complexion, and when the gloss wears off your lips still have the pink colour to them (just like a lip stain). And I can attest to the whole "pH reactive pigments adjust into a pink to suit your skin tone" thing because I got one of my friends to test it (I wanted to see if it just went to one shade of pink or not) and on my friend who is even paler then I am it came out as a softer lighter shade of pink compared to the rather intense colour that it comes out on me.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals #1

I used to use this years ago, before I new anything really about makeup. Gosh this was awful stuff, it has mica in it, its why you'd get the silverish sheen look that even when u buffed and buffed your little heart away you just ended up looking worse (hehe kind of like the tin man with that silver sheen). Anyhow I ended up hating this stuff, mica in powders or anything really only emphasizes pores, so for people with enlarged pores like myself this stuff was downright horrid, I tend avoid anything now with mica in it or if it has it high up in the ingredient list.
