I had high hopes for this it sounded so nice. Unfortunately it did not work for me at all, I smelt exactly like a thai curry, lemongrass and coconut milk and other spices, very odd and not very pleasant!! .It wasn't tropical or beachy at all, I like curry but I don't want to smell like it!
I can smell a little orange at the start and then it morphs into a sweet floral mix, with no chocolate or cocoa. The powdery floral starts to fade after a couple of hours but still not much cocoa or chocolate its smells very sweet like a packet of vanilla cake mix with a hint of cocoa butter and an occasional whiff of lilies that have been sitting in a vase for too long. Its not what I was expecting and I don't think i will repurchase when my sample runs out!
I love the initial burst of cherry and almond, I smell just like one of those almond frangipane tarts with the jam in them. It doesn't remain that intense it drys down to a comforting beautiful smoky almond cherry that stays close to the skin and is comforting and snuggly like wearing cashmere . This is what I was hoping Louve would be as its much easier to buy but that had to much of a powdery drydown and felt too sweet.

This is a good antioxidant serum, since i have added it to my regime my skin is less dehydrated (and hence feels a bit firmer) less sensitive and red and has more of a healthy glow. Its worth buying this for that as I wasn't entirely convinced by the sales assistant bumf about how clock genes etc!
I love carnal flower and serge lutens tuberouse criminalle but not a big fan of this one. Its just too sweet, sugary and a bit sickly for me.Headache inducing It also smells fruity almost like ripe nectarines. Not a big fan of fruit in my fragrance, luckily it has the staying power of all L'artisans on me and is fading fast.
This sounded nice on paper as a lot of Jo Malone fragrances do but when I tried it I didn't like it much at all, story of my life with this brand. No jasmine for me just a sweet generic floral, it started off very green but faded to nothing after about an hour.
I love this. The beginning is menthol/wintergreen/vicks vapor rub (which I actually don't mind reminds me of my childhood) with a faint hint of tubereuse, over about an hour the balance changes the tubereuse becomes more prominent and the menthol fades. Its a delicate green creamy tubereuse (less tropical than my other love carnal flower). There are a lot of serge lutens that i can't wear as i find them overpowering with way too much going on but this one is just perfect!

I've never met an amber I have liked in fact quite a few of them have been instant scubbers, they manage to be too sweet and powdery and yet masculine so I hesitantly approached my sample of this but I loved it. It had a bit too much amber initially but then the apple, vanilla/caramel and cinammon took over but somehow in an elegant grown up way so I could distinguish each indvidual note but not in a guess what I smell like apple tart today kind of way. It lasted all day and as the day went on it became a little more smokey but still beautiful. Very nice for a cold winter day and I can see why it is meant to represent cashmere it gave me the same snuggly feeling as a cashmere cardigan.
so so transparent and fleeting. I put some on could smell the faintest trace of apricots and a faint hint of tea and poof it was gone leaving the faintest trace of a clean soapy smell. Blink and you would have missed it. All a bit disapointing really considering its 5 star rating in perfumes the guide. I am not getting this one at all! Oh well one less I need to add to my i want to buy list!
This just didn't work on my skin at all, I got no leather or rose just fruit, sweet and sickly to start with and then some harsh grapefruit with maybe a little bit of mimosa it was very harsh and synthetic and gave me a headache!
musk, musk and more musk with a hint of cinnamon. Its too masculine for me some perfumes you try and they match a mood or make you feel happy etc this one really does nothing for me, can't imagine any cirumstances when I would reach for it but then judging by the other reviews we all have different taste and some people love it. Its not a scrubber but it really isn't me. It smell a bit like cheap mens body spray unfortunately.
So many reviewers comment on the boozy, truffle earthy rose smell of this, I'm not getting that at all for me its a rose garden in summer when all the roses are in full bloom in the morning after rain or its the smell of a freshly cut rose just placed in a vase. It would have to be the most realistic rose fragrance I have smelled. I find its almost too much rose for the first couple of hours of what was a very small application to my wrists but now hours later I just feel like i am cocooned in a cloud of rose, quite beautiful.

starts out as a pleasant citrus (a lot like cologne bigardee) but then very quickly in a matter of minutes it goes all mosquito repellant. As it dries down it gets some cedar (not a note that I can wear well) and soapy. Its okay not a scrubber so I will use up my sample but not full bottle worthy for me
This smells like rose and violet flavoured candy I used to eat as a small girl. It has a lot of personality but for me its just too sweet and powdery and headache inducing.
So many people seem to love ormonde jayne fragrances but they really don't work with my body chemistry at all. I was looking forward to trying champaca but it just turned into a soapy mess on me, There was no floral no basmati rice just a strong generic soapy smell.I found it so stomach churning I had to wash it off.
