Bronzers -NARS - Laguna

I have light skin (MAC C25, Dior 021 Linen, BE Light) so the S/A recommended Laguna for me. According to her, Casino is for darker skinned girls -although for me, both bronzers look quite similar. Laguna is a true bronze color while Casino has rosy undertones. If you have any redness, Casino is going to make it worse because you are adding more rosy red to your skin. I bought Laguna because I have red tones in my skin. This is my first bronzer ever and I like it! I can be layer the product without looking dirty. It also has subtle shimmer that does not make my skin look greasy -instead it gives a gorgeous glow (the shimmer does not sit in my pores nor accentuate them). Finally, the best part about this bronzer is that it makes me look like I have a real tan!!!! This stuff is amazing.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Midnight in NY

Great for fall/winter, this is a black polish with glitter on it. Picked it up from Zellers around 9 cdn. It is pretty expensive considering it's only a Sally Hansen but the formula is relatively new and there's a lot of product in the bottle anyway. Will buy again.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Stylish Smokes in Natural Smokes

I LOVE this quad! I got this after one of the youtube gurus (hollyannerae) recommended it. The shadows are highly pigmented and easy to work with... Inexpensive (less than 10 cdn at the Superstore) and all shadows are good quality. Will repurchase.

This is 8 cdn in superstore. Like the previous reviewer it is a rich classy chocolate perfect for fall/winter months. I recently purchased my first complete salon series from Sally Hansen and I love it! The thick brush is unique and easier for me to apply the polish. I also have this in Nude Now, Commander Chic, Wine Not... etc

This is really expensive for a drugstore product, it costs 21 CDN + tax in the superstore. It comes in a pretty enough compact with a mirror and a brush applicator. It is also made in Italy... this is my first bronzer so I don't have any point of comparison. It has orange undertones and surprisingly does not make my skin look dirty. For ref, I'm MAC C25, BE Light, Dior 021 Linen. I bought this for contouring and so far it does its job but I dont think i'll repurchase. i'm sure this will last for a long time and i'd like to try other bronzers after.

I like this. It is a good alternative to my favourite Colossal. Though it is a b*tch taking off since I have the waterproof version. It does not flake. I also like the sleek sophisticated packaging. Will repurchase. :) UPDATED: No i will not repurchase. Had a 3 hour pathophysiology class and I was wondering why my professor was looking at me in a strange way. I went to the bathroom after and i looked like I had 2 black eyes. I chucked the mascara in the garbage right after that.

Slightly better than Rimmel, at least this product does not sting my eyes. This is what I'm currently using. It is expensive considering its a drugstore product (10 cdn + tax). It does not remove my mascara efficiently, even if I use it like twice the night before, I still wake up with raccoon eyes! I am just using up the bottle but after I plan to try the highly rated Clean and Clear.

Ugh, this is the worst eye makeup remover ever. It stings everytime I use it. I almost forgot that I still have half the bottle in my dresser. Gonna throw it after this warning -er, review. It is a complete waste of money on my part. Obviously will not repurchase.

This is a good product considering it's a drugstore brand. Costs around 12 cdn in Superstore. Anyway, it erases my undereye circles. For reference, I am MAC C25, Dior 021, BE Light, MUFE Full Cover #6. It's my first time to use a "corrector" (this only comes in one shade- 230). It is significantly yellow as compared to its concealer counterparts. It's creamy and easy to apply. There's this white Olay formula swirled in as well. The directions say it can be used alone or before applying concealer. It's a really great neutralizer and matches my skin tone so I've been using it alone. Will repurchase.

Like the previous reviewer stated, Burt Bees has nothing on this stuff! Not only does this feel tingly, it tastes like spearmint as well! Whenever I put some on, I can't help but remember chewing Wrigley's gum as a child. It moisturizes and inexpensive. Keeps my lips looking supple so this will be another staple in my make-up kit. In fact, I'm planning to buy Cinnamint soon. Will repurchase.

Another product I discovered thanks to MakeupAlley. I was intrigued by all the raves and I drove all the way to Bellingham mainly for this. I think this costs around 10 usd for a huge tub of 12 oz. It's fragrance-free, the tub is white with a blue cover... Now that I have it, I honestly can't see what the fuss is all about! It's just glorified petroleum jelly at par with Pond's Cold Cream. The consistency may be different (this one is like a waxy petroleum jelly) however both are effective in removing my eye makeup.The following ingredients are mineral oil, petroleum jelly, parraffin, ceresin, beta carotene. Won't repurchase.

Concealers -L'Oreal - Touche Magique

For the value, this drugstore concealer is worth it. Although colour selection is limited, the quality makes up for it. Coverage is light to medium. It is a good product but definitely not in league with my HG -MUFE's Full Cover concealer. Will buy again though! Since my HG is really expensive (around 40 cdn), I started purchasing this reasonably priced alternative as well. Btw, I am C25, BE Light, Dior 021 and I use Natural Beige here.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Fusion

I like this much better than the original Lash Blast (esp b/c it does not make them feel &look spidery as the first one did). It didn't clump, managed to coat my lashes evenly. The colour could use some darkening. I felt that their Black wasn't black enough. For me, it is no where near my HG mascara -Maybelline's Colossal.Whenever I purchase a new mascara, I wear Colossal on one eye and the new one on the other. While my ever reliable Colossal managed to make my lashes thick with just one swipe, the Fusion needed like 6 coats to make my lashes have volume. I don't think I'll repurchase.

Love it!! It's actually the colour of my lips, only a shade darker. Bought this along with the blush. Great for daytime wear.

Beautiful rosy colour! Highly pigmented. Nothing life changing since I don't really wear blush nor eyeshadows everyday.
