love love love this palette! it has two shadows and a blush in a satin-like compact with rhinestones on the magnetized clasp. it has the great stila pigment & silky texture without fading or creasing. the lightest pink shade is a beautiful & shimmery (but not frosty) very light pink that is gorgeous as an eye-awakening wash or highlighter. when applied with a damp brush it is even more beautiful, but still a delicate pink. the blush doesn't show up on me at all, but it does make for a pretty e/s! however, i feel i must mention that i don't like subtle blush on my face, it just doesn't look right on me so i always go for bright blush shades - this blush would be great for someone who likes a subtle look. my favorite color in this palette is the darker liner/crease shade. its an absolutely gorgeous plum-brown shade that is dramatic yet doesn't give me a really made up wearing a lot of makeup look. i'm definitely going to buy backups of this palette- its one of my favorites that i reach for all the time!
Lip Gloss -mark - glow baby glow luxe in orchid luxe
shortgirl 6/15/2005 4:09:00 PM
the luxe glosses are amazing! i love how they're sparkly without being glittery. they're a great gloss without being too thin or watery, though they aren't quite as thick as i usually like my glosses. orchid luxe is a beautiful sparkly berry shade-- if you like berry shades this is great b/c its not the usual dark berry or overly pigmented color gloss. i'm usually stuck with the dark berry shades of glosses b/c i have quite a bit of natural pigment in my lips, but i really like this one because it can be applied sheer or layered while still giving great color payoff. there's a *slight* minty taste, but it tends to fade within a few minutes and it goes on so smooth without any gritty texture from the microshimmer. love it and will definitely repurchase!
Lip Gloss -Clinique - Glosswear for Lips Intense Sparkle in Lunar Ice
shortgirl 6/15/2005 11:53:00 AM
this gloss is terrible! its gritty with big chunks of glitter and doesn't go on smoothly. its really not even creamy or glossy, its just a paste with huge glitter chunks. it stinks & tastes like plastic. i won't ever repurchase!
love this shadow! the color isn't extremely unique, but the quality of it and the rich pigment make up for anything that i can find wrong with it! its a slightly shimmery deep berry color that wears well without fading. i haven't experienced any creasing with it and i absolutely adore the way it compliments my green eyes! will definitely repurchase!
Eye Shadow -Flirt - Dreamy Eyes Eyeshadow in Feeling Hot
shortgirl 6/13/2005 11:28:00 PM
feeling hot is a gorgeous melon-peachy shade with a slight hint of shimmer. i've never experienced any fading or creasing when wearing it, it has great pigment & a silky texture. i always had trouble finding a melon shade without too much orange, but this shadow ended my search. when applied with a damp brush it is absolutely stunning. its a nice spring/summer shade and a welcome alternative to the coppers, browns & tans that are always summer staples. love this shade and i'll definitely repurchase!
candid is a slightly shimmery orange-gold shadow that wears well and doesn't fade or crease on my lids. its not really a unique shade in my opinion, but still quite beautiful. its similar in color to mac's amber lights without the sometimes overwhelming frost that amber lights has. it blends easily and like some of the other reviews mention, it does a great job of bringing out my green eyes. definitely worth the $ i spent on it and i will repurchase.
Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Wet Shine Diamonds Liquid in Mauvey Rock
shortgirl 6/13/2005 9:09:00 PM
love the pigment in this one, such a pretty shade! i do notice a slightly gritty texture, but not enough to bother me. i don't detect any taste or smell in it. its consistency is just a little thin, but not watery. i like my l/g thicker & a bit sticky so this one usually gets pushed to the back of my stash. but i will repurchase if i ever run out of it because it is a beautiful color.
i purchased so many of the pro glosses to be used as highlighters but later found out i can only use them as l/g.(when worn anywhere other than my lips they cause me to break out.) it was extremely disappointing at first, but i later found out that some of them make beautiful l/g, and copper could not be any prettier when worn on lips. its a shimmery and wonderfully pigmented gloss that looks great without any harsh orange in it. its beautiful both on its own and when mixed with other lip colors. it has no taste and no smell. its longwearing without being thick or sticky. it doesn't take a lot to get results and builds easily to be as dramatic as desired. i love it and wish i would've purchased a backup of it, but i'll continue to try to get my grubby little hands on another tube of it!
Highlighters -Pop Beauty - Glam Jam in Illuminator
shortgirl 6/12/2005 3:23:00 PM
illuminator is one of the two glam jams i own and i have been disappointed by both. within about a week of getting springtime it seperated in the tube and within about two months or so this one did the same thing. the consistency completely changed and is now hard to blend- it comes out in globs instead of the gel its supposed to be. i still occasionally use springtime because i find it to be such a beautiful color, but i've stopped trying to do anything with this one. its similar in color to most of the highlighters other brands have, but instead of giving me a glow or a dewy look, it looks like sweat. it is longlasting once applied, but sweaty is not a look i go for so its lasting properties are of little importance to me. if you're someone who mixes luminizers or highlighters in with your foundation you might like this, but its difficult for me to blend well enough with foundation or blush to successfully achieve an all over glow look with this product. unless the formula is changed, i won't purchase any more glam jam.
i love all my lorac shadows- longlasting, silky texture, blend easily and never lack pigment. innocence is a gorgeous & shimmery lilac shade with just a touch of grey/silver. looks beautiful when applied dry for a wash & when applied with a damp brush for more drama. i love everything about this shadow and will definitely repurchase!
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Pink Afterglow 020
shortgirl 6/12/2005 2:48:00 PM
Definitely not my favorite SL gloss, I find the texture a bit gritty and it appears on my lips as a clear gloss loaded with silver sparkles. There's nothing unique or especially great about it, its an average gloss that I just don't reach for. won't repurchase this shade, but I've been pleased with most of the other SL glosses I have and will definitely purchase more of them.
sparkle is a shimmery antique-like gold shade. its a beautiful & versatile color that wears well without any fading or creasing. i love stila shadows- great pigment and silky texture. i usually apply it with a damp brush for a more dramatic look, but also love it as a wash & highlighter. another gorgeous shade from stila and i will definitely repurchase!
on my lips this shows up as a clear gloss. i've never experienced great moisturizing benefits from it, it tends to disappear shortly after i apply it. its a little too watery and thin for my liking. the formula & texture seems to differ greatly from the sugar cookie balm, i much prefer its thicker texture and staying power to this one. i despise the scents in all of the philosophy balms i've used. their scents are always overpowering and are somewhat of an annoyance for me, as they never seem to lessen or fade with time. i can't see myself even using the rest of the tube i have, its a safe bet i won't ever repurchase.
Eye Shadow -Prescriptives - Moonbeam Reflective Eyecolor - Meteorite Green
shortgirl 6/11/2005 2:48:00 PM
meteorite green is a sparkly mossy green shade that goes on *extremely* sheer. it takes a lot of layering to get decent color on my lids. the texture feels almost greasy, but is incredibly longlasting (i always have a hard time trying to remove it- even after about 14 or 15 hrs of wear) i've never experienced any creasing, the grease-like texture quickly dries to a sheer powdery finish and has never faded on my lids. this wasn't the green i was hoping for, but it is a nice change every now & then. i love the formula, this was just not a great shade for me. i'll definitely purchase some of the other shades, just not this one.
i was so excited to get this because i love multipurpose products, but i can't use this as one. it creases and feels too greasy on my lids, its a bright-orange red on my cheeks that breaks me out, and on my lips it is so dry its hard to even rub my lips together when its on. i can only successfully wear it as a lip color when i layer loads of a colored gloss on top of it, and most of the time i just don't want to be bothered with all the work i have to do to be able to wear it. i won't be repurchasing this one.
