Lip Gloss -Bonne Bell - Lip Smackers

I don't know what legallylipgloss is talking about... There is no petroleum listed in Lip Smackers ingredients. Lipsmackers even tells of their ingredients on their website, there is NO petroleum. I avoided Lip Smackers at first, I thought it was one of those gimmick lip glosses for teeny boppers due to the childish and colorful labeling. It didn't help that I first picked these up when I was 11. :) But after going through tons and tons of brands of lip balms for my easily flaking lips... Vaseline, Carmex, Blistex, Softlips, Chapstick, Body Shop Lippy balms and sticks, Rose lip balm (the one in a tin)... THIS IS THE ONE!! It gives the same relief Burt's does at a fraction of the price. The smell is ok, a bit too waxy for my taste, but I'm not complaining. Recently they changed the packaging so that it's a lot less childlish (though still as loud). Good job, lip smackers! :9

Lip Treatments -Vaseline - Cherry Lip Therapy

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! This stuff seems to give you good relief. Apply it on in the morning... ah, it's so long lasting. Ah, my lips feel so moisturized right away and for a long time. Only one dollar too, seems to last a long time. This must be good stuff... NO! Vaseline and all petroleum-based lip treatments will leave your lips drier. I speak from experience. After 6 months of using this, my lips have extreme addiction and dependency to lip balm. I used to put on lip balm once every morning, now I need it every hour of the day. Thanks, Vaseline.

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT!! EVER USE VASELINE ON YOUR LIPS!!! Usage for LIPS: After 6 months of Vaseline products on my lips, my lips have become increasingly drier and more dependent on lip balms. PETROLEUM SUCKS MOISTURE OUT OF YOUR LIPS. Chapstick once every morning is now chapstick every single hour for me, or else I am faced with flaking. Never use Vaseline on your lips. Usage for FACE: If Vaseline ever touched my face, I broke out the next day. I heard it can be used as a wax for your eyebrows... Tried, it broke out. Could be used as an eyeshadow base... Didn't bother trying, bought real primer instead. Lots of people break out in reaction to Vaseline on their face so watch out. Usage for SKIN: After years of avoiding lotion as a kid, Vaseline is the only thing that seems to heal my cracked skin. Put it on your cracked heels before pull on a pair of socks when you go to bed and you'll wake up with soft, smooth feet. Same for any other body part as long as it isn't the face. You should probably put it on before bed though, because it leaves you greasy and shiny. PACKAGING: I wish it was in a tube, so that I wouldn't have the grease all over my hands when I try to apply it on something else.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 30

BEST MOISTURIZER I HAVE EVER USED!!! Just a heads up... You can get a pack of two of these, spf 45, for $8 at Costco. (Which is less than it costs me for an individual one at Target) It goes on smoothly, doesn't leave my skin oily or with a "wet" feeling, and gives me good confidence in remaining UV ray-protected all day. The packaging is brilliant, you get every last drop of this stuff when you leave standing with the cap on the bottom. One of em lasts me forever... months and months and months. I can detect no scent, which I really hate in a moisturizer (memories of Olay.. ugh) My skin is oily/combo and I have no problems with oily skin or white spots with this moisturizer. Hands down my favorite moisturizer!

Concealers -Physicians Formula - Conceal RX

I bought this specifically for my undereye circles and it did its job. Perfect, thick coverage (I have really really bad DARK undereye circles!). For some reason mine, after the first few squirts, came out as a smelly liquid. So make sure you shake it up before using to get everything the right blended consistency. A little goes a long way, this is awfully thick and it's best you get a good concealer brush or sponge rather than your finger. I use this after moisturizing my eye area, and then I cover up with a powder concealer (LOreal Bare Naturale) that is more my skin color (I bought this in pale yellow). Finally, I set with powder foundation.I don't have any acne so I don't have any input on how this can cause break outs. It can be cakey, so make sure you really moisturize and don't apply on too much.

Brows -Maybelline - Ultra Brow Brush On Color

Simply AMAZING. Perfect perfect eyebrow filler... Looks VERY natural. I love it! I have an olive skin tone, dark brown hair and dark brown (almost black) eyebrows. Got this stuff in dark brown and it worked perfectly. I only have a "bald spot" right in the inner parts of my eyebrows and this did great filling it in. :) Packaging is very compact and convenient. My only gripe... Don't bother with the brush, which is reminiscent of the Crayola paint brushes I collected as a kid.

This foundation is amazing! It made my skin so smooth and so soft! I only needed light coverage so it worked pretty great for me. SPF is a great plus. The downside is that it's so MESSY... and the brush is low quality, I use my own brush. My color was perfect... btw if you buy it at Walgreens they let you test it.

Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Born Lippy Lip Balm
rated 3 of 5

Not worth its expensive price! They smell amazing but these lippy balms are incredibly ineffective. If I have flaky lips, they just sit on those flakes--so gross. The consistency is very creamy and so it matches poorly with the packaging, you will have leftovers on your fingers and wiping them off on your jeans. Adds a sheer color and shine, which is nice... but overall fails at its purpose. I usually apply it just for the smell, which people compare to candy.

Concealers -Maybelline - Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Concealer

Nice packaging, nice price, horrible result!! I have fine lines under my eyes. This concealer settled into them a few minutes after appliance and wouldn't come out until I rubbed them off my eye. These had zero staying power; it faded in an hour, even with a primer. They did not cover my dark circles at all. bad bad bad

ahh horrible. I don't sleep much. The soothing sensation? It made my eyes feel worse! My eyes burnnned and dried out. Coverage? Barely... I have dark circles and these didn't do much. Plus they settled into fine lines, blech.
