Polishes -Essie - Bonded

Nice medium red - not too hot, not too cool. In one light it looks like a creme, in another you can see loads of slightly lighter glitter. Covers well. I'm not sure I like the consistency all that much when going on - it seems both thin and sticky - but it dries nice and smooth.

A great, cool sparkly blued-pink. My husband, who if he has his way would only have me wear vampy reds and fuchsias, pronounced it "very pretty and not boring".

Really excellent, long-wearing medium red. Bright, but with a tiny touch of coolness making it wearable for almost anyone. I hope OPI adds it to their regular collection.

Gorgeous deep lavender with a subtle gold sheen. With a good base and topcoat it lasts a week. And the bottle and applicator are great.

Lip Gloss -Sonia Kashuk - Morning To Midnight Lipcolor -
scaly 7/22/2005 11:42:00 AM
I never thought I would say this, but this is now my HG for longlasting 2-in-1 lipcolor. I have Pink Spot, which shows up as a nice deep rose color on my lips. The clear gloss feels soft and non-sticky, like Boots, but the color lasts like as well as Almay. So now I don't have to put Boots clear gloss over my Almay colors - I have a good all-in-one product. Only complaint is that there are way too few colors.

Polishes -OPI - Greece Just Blue Me Away

I love this polish. It's really sheer, but that's what makes it cool. One coat, it's iridescent like a soap bubble. Two coats, it's baby blue. I've never had the need to go beyond that. A manicurist layered it over both pink and white cream polish for a wedding party I was in, and it looked really great. Not for everyone, but if you like it, you love it.

Fantastic stuff. Super-moisturizing, and I find that I've been using less hand lotion and cuticle cream because of it.

Love this, it's worth the hype. It's deeply pigmented and goes on smoothly. I have Image Rose, a gorgeous, gorgeous red with a cool blue undertone, and it's been on my toes for over a week and still looks good - this is after wearing sandals nonstop. It has to be said again, love it!

Conditioner -Matrix - Biolage - Detangler
scaly 7/14/2005 10:29:00 AM
This is absolutely necessary to detangle my long, thick and curly hair - I use it with another conditioner in winter, and by itself in the summer. It gets the snarls out quickly and painlessly, even those nasty ones at the back of the neck. Sometimes, I'll dilute it in water as a spray-on detangler - that works well, too. Great stuff.

Conditioner -Aveda - Sap Moss Conditioning Detangler [DISCONTINUED]
scaly 7/14/2005 10:23:00 AM
Decent summer detangler. Deceptively light and doesn't weigh my hair down - a few minutes sitting on my head in the shower got the comb through very well. Nice, clean smell. Thing is, though, I probably won't buy again unless it's on sale because Matrix's detangler is so good. And so much cheaper, which is good because I went through nearly a whole trial size of Sap Moss in one shampoo!

Lipstick -Boots - No7 Stay Perfect Lip Lacquer
scaly 7/13/2005 1:45:00 PM
Nice soft-feeling lipcolor. Can reapply the lipstick part without it balling up or getting grainy. The gloss coat is soft and really moisturizing, and the Tea Rose color is truly pretty. Up there with Almay as a long-lasting lipcolor. Knocked down a lippie because the Sonia Kashuk is so good.

Lipstick -Almay - Truly Lasting Color

I usually like just gloss, but decided to try this when I saw how good it looked on my sister. She's a busy mom with four kids, and she swears by the stuff. I like the Sugar Plum when I just want YLBB, and use the Raspberry for more zip. Heck, I ended up layering them for a wedding, and they worked great. They literally lasted for 12 hours straight. It's a tad drying, but the gloss helps. I also wish they'd make a few more shades... ETA: Knocked down a lippie because Sonia Kashuk is long-lasting and not so drying.

Polishes -New York Color - Long Wearing Nail Enamel
scaly 6/26/2005 3:28:00 PM
Love this polish. I have Pouty Pink Creme and Polyester Pink, and with a good topcoat (Seche or NYC's own excellent topcoat), they last almost as long as department store or salon polishes. Good colors, coverage and fantastic price.
