Hair Styling Tools -Paul Mitchell - Paul Mitchell The Smoothing Iron
rated 5 of 5

It is smaller than my rusk ceramics flat iron, but it works a ton better! It didn't leave my hair with the fried ends I can sometimes get when I turn the heat up. I had the heat up at 400 degrees, and I got silky, straight, shiny hair. Another nice feature is that it has beveled edges, so you don't get that crimp on the end that you can sometimes get....just a nice touch in my opinion. My rusk flat iron I always had to turn the heat down because at 400 degrees it would singe my hair (yes, i use a protective serum before I use it) and my hair would be "fluffy" and dull looking. I paid $160 for mine, but i've seen it on Folica.com for $140 USD. It was sold out though, so I paid more for mine through my hairstylist. Very good flat iron, probably one of the best i've ever used!

Liquid -MAC - Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
rated 5 of 5
sassygirrrl 10/27/2006 5:59:00 PM

I got this in NW 25. The sales associate matched the skin on my neck as I had Clinique Superfit in Champagne on at the time. Perfect match! I kept noticing people staring at me when I would suddenly turn. A few commented on my "perfect skin" LOL if they only knew! I did experience a little break out, (2 pimples) but I am prone to breakout at "that time of the month" so not sure if this is from the makeup or hormones. Perfect coverage, makes my ruddy skin flawless, and gives me a radiant, matte finish. I have combination oily/dry skin, and this didn't need a touch up like all my other foundations usually do. I really like this foundation. It works hard to make my skin flawless. New to the MAC line, this if my first foray into the foundation, but so far I like what I see. It's worth the money. If you don't like it, return it. They will credit your card or give you a refund.

Foundations -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Light to Medium
rated 3 of 5
sassygirrrl 6/4/2006 5:35:00 PM

This cost me a little over $12. I have to say the package was very difficult to figure out, but once I did, I do like it. Very purse friendly. I usually use Pur Minerals foundation, but I was running out so I thought I would give this a try. I am usually a "medium" when it comes to mineral foundations, and this was a good color match. At first, I couldn't get the powder to come out onto the brush, but after the first application, I just tip the package upside down, give a good shake, then just apply by brushing all over my face, and the powder dispenses with no problem onto the brush. The coverage is a bit more sheer than I am used to, but this will work nicely as a touch-up in the middle of the workday. I have very sensitive skin-dry and irritates easily. This product didn't bother my skin, but overall I prefer a bit more coverage for my ruddy skin. I will not repurchase, unless neutrogena makes this available in a version with full coverage.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Green Lady Soap Creamy Margarita

This is great! It sounds like a weird combination, but really this smells awesome! When you first put it on, you smell lime margarita. Then as it dries down, you get a whiff of vanilla.....so pretty! I got this as a sample, but I plan on purchasing a full size next time I order. Lovely scent! LOL I can't stop smelling my wrist!

This is a review for the roll on perfume oil. This smells like the strawberry shortcake dolls from a few years ago. Sweet, creamy vanilla with a touch of strawberry. I had a sample of this and I got compliments all day on my fragrance. The actual perfume came in a cutle little frosted glass bottle with a nice label, and it just rolls right on. I love this! I even got an extra for a girlfriend of mine, it smells so good.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Volume Shocking Mascara [DISCONTINUED]
rated 1 of 5
sassygirrrl 11/6/2005 9:40:00 AM

Awful. Just awful. The primer is very nice, but the brush for the mascara just makes the lashes clump up. At first I thought maybe I had to much mascara on the brush, but no. It's the brush. It made all the mascara clump up, and it looked just horrible. Don't buy this mascara, it truly isn't worth the money. I am going to take it back today and get my money back. It was $10.99 at Walmart.

Treatments -Frederic Fekkai - Hair Mask with Shea Butter
rated 5 of 5
sassygirrrl 10/27/2005 8:50:00 AM

This was not cheap, at $8 for a travel sized bottle. I followed the directions: apply to towel dried hair. It did not say to apply to shampooed hair, so I just wet my hair down, towel dried it, and put this on. I then sat, with water dripping down my neck, for 20 minutes, thinking "this better be worth it." I then jumped in the shower, rinsed it out, shampooed, and conditioned as usual. Wow, was my hair soft the next day! The frizzies were a lot less, my curl was bouncy, my hair just looked soft and healthy. I also loved the scent of this. It was not overpowering, just a nice shea butter smell, that did not last after it was washed out. THIS IS NOT A CONDITIONER. It is a hair mask. You use it, *then* you wash your hair. Good stuff, but boy is it expensive, and yeah, I'm going to shell out the $$$$ for the full size. Bummer.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Technician Glaze
rated 5 of 5
sassygirrrl 10/27/2005 8:44:00 AM

I love this! I have shoulder length curly hair. I tried using three drops of this, but it was too much on my hair and made it look greasy. The next time I tried it, I used one drop on dry hair! Wow! It made my hair shine! It smells kind of like cotton candy...I kept smelling my hands after I used it, LOL it smelled so nice. It is supposed to help protect color, but i've only used it twice, so I can't comment on that. It did help tame my frizzies, and helped to define my curl. It was $20 for a bottle, but if I am only going to be using one drop, this will last me forever, so I don't mind that price. It made my hair look so healthy! My hair-but better.

Scrubs -Olay - Regenerist Thermal Skin Polisher
rated 5 of 5
sassygirrrl 10/20/2005 9:39:00 AM

I use this every morning. I have sensitive skin, and I use the whole renergist line. This product warms up very nicely, but doesn't re-warm for me when I add more water, like the directions say to do. I don't care though, because it's the RESULTS that I care about more than anything else. I will be 35 in March of 2006, and two coworkers told me in one week that they thought I was 28 LOL. I told them how old I really am, and they asked me what I use on my skin. I told them: Oil of Olay Renergist line- The thermal skin polisher every morning, followed by the Salicytic moisturizer, and every evening the Salicytic face wash, followed by the Total Effects Serum, then the Salicytic moisturizer....one month, VERY noticeable results! The fine lines around my eyes are gone, my skin has a "glow", my pores are much smaller and not clogged. I will say to make sure to rinse this off thorougly, because it can leave a residue. Also, don't expect a ton of exfoliation: it's a chemical exfoliation, with Glycolic Acid, not a physical exfoliation, and it works over time, with continuous use. Don't expect results in one or two days, more like one or two weeks, but it's worth it. Hope this review helps someone.

Treatments -Olay - Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum
rated 4 of 5
sassygirrrl 10/20/2005 9:24:00 AM

AT one time, I used this twice a day. I have very sensitive skin, and have noticed that it made my skin a bit dryer, with some flakes. What I did was start using this in the evening, waited five minutes, then put some moisturizer on after. I also use the Oil of Olay Renergist self heating mask every morning, and the Renergist Salisytic Acid Face wash each morning. Both wash and mask have granules, and take care of the flakiness problem, along with the Salisytic Moisturizer from the Renergist line. I have noticed a HUGE difference in my 34 year old skin. I will be 35 in March, two of my coworkers have commented on my skin, and they both thought I was in my mid-20's. What a compliment! I will continue my routine, and will continue with this product.

Styling Products -Rusk - Mousse - Volumizing Foam
rated 5 of 5
sassygirrrl 10/4/2005 6:40:00 PM

First of all, I haven't used a mousse for YEARS! I went to a new hairstylist, and she put this on after my cut and color, and stuck me under the diffuser (she wanted my curly hair dry so she could see how nice the color came out). What I got was beautiful, non frizzy spiral curls! I love this stuff! I bought a can for $12. I will get this again for sure. Didn't leave my hair stiff or sticky, but I did have to use a bit more than the directions stated. I used about twice as much as the can says to use, about a small palmful-the can says to use an egg sized amount.

Treatments -Dr. Brandt - Laser Tight
rated 5 of 5
sassygirrrl 9/30/2005 5:19:00 PM

I got a sample of this from Sephora with a purchase. I can feel it tingle on my skin, but I think personally that's from the menthol in the product, nothing more. I *do* notice that my skin looks "fresher" though when I use this. I am considering paying the $110 price tag on this. It may be worth the money.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Green Lady Soap Lime Margarits Eau De Parfum
rated 5 of 5

This is an exact dupe of Bath and Bodyworks Margarita Scrub. If you like that fragrance, then you will love this one. It comes in a glass spray bottle. This is a very long lasting fragrance. I will repurchase this. Very nicely done.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Green Lady Soap Rich and Creamy Lotion Lime Margarita
rated 5 of 5
sassygirrrl 9/16/2005 1:56:00 PM

LOOOOVE this! It is an exact dupe of Bath and Bodyworks Magarita Scrub scent! It is nice and refreshing, this lotion is great! It has shea butter and avocado oil in it. This leaves my hands very soft. My hands are very sensitive, since I have them in water a lot they tend to crack and be very painful. This lotion didn't cause any pain or irritation when applying. I really like the bottle- it rests on it's cap, which is a flip top. This is good, because all the product will get used up. Love this stuff!

Treatments -Frederic Fekkai - Technician Color Care Mask
rated 5 of 5
sassygirrrl 9/16/2005 9:00:00 AM

I had a sample of this from Sephora. I loved it so much, I went online and bought the full sized jar. It was expensive at $34 for 7 oz, but it works so well on my dry hair! It smells like cotton candy, too. It is supposed to help protect color, but I really love it for the moisturization I get. I don't like the package though-it comes in a container with a screw on lid, and it arrived with the inner lid not sitting correctly and a little product spilled out.
