Eyeliner -MAC - Liquidlast Liner - Point Black

The best thing about this product is how long it lasts. It's crazy. Once I ran out of remover and I delayed buying it, thinking, "oh well, it'll eventually wash away." It didn't. It stayed on for the whole 48 hours until I panicked and promptly went out to buy remover. The downside is I feel the brush is not as good as other liquid liners I've tried. It is so thin and flat it actually makes it harder (than usual) for application. The liquid is also a bit thick, so it's best to just use a full glob on the brush and line lightly throughout with a single stroke. But the extra five minutes I spend every morning painstakingly lining my eyes worths every second as I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the day (and mostly, night). Price is of course expensive, it's MAC. But if you want to spend some for a worthy product, this is it.

Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

I got this as a sample gift when I bought my Creme de Corps body polish (good product, BTW, sadly it has no review page in this website). First of all it stings like crazy. I tried putting it on four times until I finally gave up. It stung. Every. Single. Time. The reason I tried it for that many times is because the next morning my eyes always looked soft and supple, but after the fourth time biting my own tongue in reaction to the burn I say au revoir.

Mascara -MAC - Haute & Naughty Lash
rated 3 of 5

Despite not being on the list of things I swear by (I think my preference for this mascara greatly relies on the fact that I haven't found anything better) this mascara does what it says and it does it well. The haute brush defines my lashes nicely and make them look like I actually wake up looking like this. The naughty brush doesn't volumise my lashes as much as I'd like, to be frank it only gives a slight thickness compared to the haute brush. Although I very much like the fancy packaging. I'm really bummed that it's not waterproof though, since I live near the beach so this product is a bit useless for me most of the time. I will however continue to restock this until I find a better mascara.

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Egyptian Magic Healing Cream
rated 4 of 5

I've heard some people complaining that this product does not give them glowing skin, etc. I personally use this for more severe cases than dull skin, like wounds, scratches (my cat is crazy), skin rashes, and insect bites. It generally heals better than other ointments and it helps recovery so well I hardly ever get scars. Because of this it's also good with healing acne (not so much with fresh bumps, these ones better leave it to stronger acne treatment products). I have also tried this for my lips when it's most especially chappy to the point of bleeding, I left generous amount of it on them overnight and they were all better the next morning. It's also good for post-shaven skin.

Lotions/ Creams -Soap and Glory - The Righteous Butter
rated 5 of 5

Simply put THE BEST product I have ever put on my skin. Leaves my skin moisturized and silky for hours, even after being trapped for the whole day inside room with air-con, yet doesn't make it sticky or damp when out under the sun. The smell can be a bit overwhelming when inside the pot, but after few minutes on the skin it turns pleasantly subtle. I might be a bit delusional but after a few pots it feels like my skin is brighter and more supple. And for the price, it is a major steal.

Brows -The Body Shop - Eyebrow kit
rated 5 of 5

This is THE product for me. I wear it even when I'm only walking my dog and pretend I'm not wearing any make-up and I get away with it EVERY TIME. It fills in my eyebrows so perfectly and naturally people are generally shocked to see me without it ("What did you do to your brows??"). I use the darker combination (black/brown) and my black to brown usage ratio is maybe 5:1 as I have jet black hair and eyes. The price is reasonable and even with my frequency of use it lasts a long time (it took me a year to use up my first one, and even then it's only the black powder that is all used up). It gets a bit messy after a while (the excess powder can get all over the place) and the packaging is sleek but the quality is so-so. Of course the way my eyebrows look beats these minor faults, so YES I will be restocking this over and over again and YES I recommend this product for y'all.

Powder -BeneFit Cosmetics - Hello Flawless!
rated 3 of 5

When they say buildable coverage, they weren't kidding. This product can cover a slight freckle to an angry red acne scar, while still maintaining impressive lightness and natural look (natural look is dependent of course on if you can find the perfect shade. It took me three compacts to find my perfect shade, toasted beige.) Price is meh, it's not cheap but to be frank cheap make-up worries me. It does not make me break out, which is a major +++ for me, however if I don't do steam deep cleansing every week I get some micro black heads on my chin and cheeks (tho I think it has more to do with my skin condition than the product itself). The packaging is good, it has mirror and comes with a brush for light coverage and pad for heavier. The brush is ok but the pad is a bit thin and not with a very good quality so I replace it with a better one I bought myself. **update: ever since I started spending more time under harsher weather, my skin gets dry and a bit flaky. Not at all flattering under this powder. I think for this to work best you need to moisturize very well throughout the day. Also I just realized I could never find THE perfect shade with this because they're all a bit pink (not yellow enough for my yellow undertoned skin). But it's still wearable. I use this interchangeably with Bobbi Brown's Foundation Stick--that one I use for when I really need to look good. Also this powder runs out quite quickly.**

Lip Gloss -BeneFit Cosmetics - Benetint Lip Balm
rated 4 of 5
sangrmahlia 8/6/2011 6:43:00 AM

I have just finished my first pot and waiting for my second to arrive by mail (yes, I am too lazy to go out and buy it from the counter). The biggest upside of this product for me is how the color fits my complexion perfectly. It also makes my lips incredibly soft. It might be a bit sticky for some, but my lips are crazy dry and I live in a harsh area (near the beach) so I take this stickiness as a positive feature. I swear since I've started using it my lips feel softer and less chappy even without anything on them. The smell is also nice. The downside is (aside from being a bit on the expensive side) the pot is, IMHO, already a bad idea to store any product if it comes without an applicator, let alone combining it with something this sticky (come on! It gets disgusting sometimes to dip your finger in, spread them across the lips, and then what do I do with the excess balm on my finger?). It also taste a bit weird, and, not that I deliberately eat my lip balms, but sometimes it is inevitable. Overall I would restock this product when I finish my second pot, the reason mainly being that despite its downsides I have yet to find another product that does my lips better.
