I use this in place of eye-makeup remover since it's a lot more gentle on my eye area. I wear dark liner and I really have to scrub to get it out if I use normal liquid remover, and even then I always seem to have raccoon eyes because it doesn't always get everything off. This stuff gets it off easily without abusing my skin at all. I use it on a baby q-tip (the ones with the fat swab) and that way I don't get it in my eyes. Taking one lippie off because I have to use it before I shower because otherwise it can make me break out.

Polishes -Zoya - Trixie

The perfect silver NP. It goes on opaque in 2 coats and the application is smooth and even. It looks like you have metal nails, and has a brushed foil finish. Looks like it will be gritty to touch but it's surprisingly smooth. It's perfect for a night out and for professional environments, and lasts for days without any chipping without a top coat. I got it during the Zoya 3 free NP promotion in Jan '11, and I can't believe they just gave it away. Actual price is $7 and I think it's more than worth it. Will definitely buy again.

Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Repair Serum with Attar of Rose
rated 5 of 5

I've been using this serum religiously for a year now, and I have to say I'm impressed. I use it around my eyes and on my laugh lines, where I had begun to show increased creasing, and I've seen definite improvement in both areas. I use it over moisturizer, and apply it right before I go to sleep. It is not a substitute for moisturizer, but rather keeps it locked in. While I have sensitive skin, this has not made me break out but with the oily texture, I could see it causing problems for some. Pros: - Works beautifully, even on my sun damaged, super abused skin. - No purging period. - One vial lasts forever. Seriously. I've been using it daily for a year, and I'm just done with about a third of the bottle. Con: - The biggest drawback for me is the packaging. I'm not docking any points for it because the pros far outweigh this issue, but I'd love to see some easier to use packaging. - This is for people who wear glasses. Ideally I'd like to put it on after I wash my face and let the moisturizer sink in for a few minutes but it's a bad idea. I have to use this right before I plan to go to sleep because when I use it around my eyes, it gets my lashes so oily that my glasses get smudged without fail, and it takes forever to get them clean.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
rated 5 of 5

This review is for the Naked Palette with the 24/7 glide on eyeliner, which unfortunately isn't available any more. How much do I love this palette? I've never been a major eyeshadow wearer but the neutrals in this set are just too good not to use. I am new to makeup, and like to practice different looks when I'm bored and this is just a great tool to have in your kit. I'm pretty conservative about eye-makeup and rarely really wear anything drastic unless I'm going partying, which is pretty rare. It's great for when I want to travel because with the eyeliner and primer potion I don't need to pack anything else. I always prefer to pack light. I just toss in my foundation/concealer/blush into a bag with this palette and my travel brush kit and I'm done! Before I had to cart along individual pots and smaller palettes for every possible occasion but with Naked, I'm covered- whether I'm going to be attending a wedding or an interview or anything in between. I am sad that they've stopped including the eyeliner, since the Good Karma Brush just does not cut it for me. I don't think they should have bumped up the price because I feel that the old palette (the one I have) is far superior in value.

Eyeliner -Tarina Tarantino - Eye Dream Hyperliner
rated 5 of 5

I bought Cute Robot a while ago, and I was looking for a new white pencil for my waterline. Stila and UD were both sold out, so I picked up Crystal Gun. I love them both. The material is soft, creamy but still firm enough to maintain decent control and goes on easily. The line stays in place all day, even on my waterline. If you plan on using a brush to smudge the line, you want to do it quick because it sets pretty fast. I am a contact lens wearer and I haven't experienced discomfort yet. Will definitely buy again.

Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
rated 5 of 5
rheaZ 1/9/2011 1:49:00 AM

The Mia is the best thing that ever happened to my skin. I have been using it for almost a year. I use it with Cetaphil for Normal-Oily skin and follow it up with moisturizer, which is a must. Over long term use, the Mia has: - Drastically reduced my cystic acne - Faded old scars and craters - Made my skin noticeably smoother. A single charge lasts me about 3 weeks. I use it once a day. I used to use it by the sink, but in my personal experience it's a lot more effective during a hot shower, especially if your pores have had a chance to steam open a bit. It also helps to lather up your face well before you use the Mia, since the brush can get a little abrasive otherwise.
