Blush -Dr. Hauschka - 03 Accento Rouge Powder

I love this blush! You just cant go wrong with it. It gives me the most natural pink flush on my cheeks. It's also got a lovely silky soft texture and a pleasant natural scent. I am not a big fan of a somewhat clunky packaging and the brush that comes with it is pretty useless. The product itself is amazing though.

Concealers -Smashbox - Photo Op Under Eye Brightener

hm, I'm going to go against the current here by saying I actually really love this product. I've received a sample, which has lasted me for quite a while so I've had a good chance to see this in action. It is very waterly and light and does not give coverage to dark sports or circles, but when I need good coverage, i use a proper concealer. I use this product when I don't have a major under-eye area issue, when I just want to give the under-eye area a bit of a moisture, lift and light. It does that well and it looks natural and undetectable. Will buy the full-size version.

Great product. Pros -packaging allows controlled pouring which means no wastage -removes heavy make-up easily with a reasonable amount of product -non-greasy -bi-phase which is good if you're a fan of Lancome Bi-facil and Clarins Instant Eye make-up remover Cons -quite expensive for a small bottle of product Will still re-purchase as is probably the best eye make-up remover I've tried

Eye Makeup Remover -Clarins - Instant Eye Make-up Remover

I bought this product after reading all the rave reviews here and I was not disappointed. It really is great, taking everything off without any need to rub. When wearing heavy eye make-up, I end up using 2 well-moistened cotton discs. The problem is, using it every day lasted me for about a month and a half which means using this product on a regular basis will cost you! Personally, I'd rather spend on maek-up than on make-up removeer products, but next time I feel like splurging a bit, I'll get this one again.

Lotions/ Creams -Burt's Bees - Radiance

Got a sample of it and am definitely not going to purchase this. Watery texture and a whole lot of mica. I thought I'd use it as a light hand cream during the day since it was so useless as a body moisturizer, but it just gave my hands an eerie sparkle. I quite like this brand, but this product is just wrong.

I'm on my 2nd bottle of this stuff and I just hope I'll be able to re-purchase. I love the yummy scent and the light non-greasy texture, which is important for my fine short hair. Love it.

Impulse buy as I'm on a self-imposed make-up ban, but could be one of the bext buys of the year for me! What I love about it: -easy to apply as it is in a stick, so no need to mess with brushes and pots -stays and stays and stays -beautiful colour with a bit of shimmer which is nicer than a boring old brown kohl. -brings out the green in my eyes -works really well on the waterline, which is where I put it. -colour is wearable for the office

Lipstick -Estee Lauder - Pure Color Gloss Stick 04 Nude Almond

Had to throw this out...what a waste. What was good about it: beautiful caramel colour shiny finish (not shimmery) What was bad about it -the icky taste it gave off -drying -not at first, but after it goes off, my lips were quite dry -packaging is square-shaped so it's annoying trying to put the cap back on as you need to find the right side to go in (if that makes sense) I think I'm done with E/L lipsticks! I've now thrown out 2, so that's it.

Lotions/ Creams -L'Occitane - Body Cream Shea Vanilla

This is ridiculously expensive AUS$55 or somesuch, yet I am tempted to say it is worth it! It's a jar of luxury for dry and neglected winter skin. The texture is smooth and silky and the scent is very delicate yet lingering. I find that I don't need to scoop out much to get a quite a bit of product going so it's relatively economical. Get it for yourself as a treat or it would make a great gift.

Brows -Smashbox - Brow tech
rated 5 of 5
rediska 4/28/2010 6:31:00 AM

I just started using the brow set in Auburn and it's great! Makes my brows look defined and groomed. I like how everything is in a small neat package. So much easier to use than a pencil! I had an MUA explain to me how to use it - first use the lighter shade to fill in/give colour to the area where my eyebrow hairs are, then use the dark colour for the areas where I don't have enough of my own hair (like at the beginning of the brow, to make it a bit wider and at the outer end where it's sparse). Then use wax to set and give it a hint of glossiness. It makes such a difference when the brows are done properly, it really gives my face a lift and that polished feel.

Lip Gloss -Smashbox - O-GLOSS
rated 5 of 5
rediska 4/28/2010 1:41:00 AM

I got this as a sample recently and i can't wait to buy the full size product even though people are saying it's expensive. It's the perfect natural pink gloss, which makes your lips look glossy and plumped without that obvious wearing-make-up look. I am a bit curious about the way the colour works, as this product is clear in the tube yet adapts the colour once it is exposed to light. On one occasion it turned quite a bright cherry on my lips, but other times it was a rosy pink. The texture is great - moisturizing and smooth without any of that sticky/greasy feeling.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Al'chemy Lavender & Anthyllis, 24 Hour Intensive Moisture Leave-In Conditioner
rated 4 of 5

I've used this on my dry fine hair when it was very short (a crop) and I found this product to be a great lightweight moisturizer. The smell is fresh and herbal and the texture is quite light and easily absorbed.

Eye Shadow -Estee Lauder - Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowStick Golden Pearl 01
rated 3 of 5
rediska 4/11/2010 4:58:00 AM

This is a great under-brow highlighter. But I found that it doesn't wear well on the eyelid as it quickly creases. Basically, it has limited use for me, so won't re-purchase. I'd rather invest in a powder shadow for the under-brow as it can last for a long time, whereas anything cream-bases such as this product will dry out soon.

Cleansers -Pevonia Botanica - Phyto-gel cleanser
rated 4 of 5
rediska 4/11/2010 4:49:00 AM

I've been using this product for a few weeks now and here are my pros and cons. Pros: -love the sophisticated scent -cleans the skin of make-up and oils really well without that "stripped of the last bit of moisture" dry and tight feeling like cleansers can. -lathers well -lasts, as only a little amount is needed for a thorough cleanse Cons: -no on-going effect on my skin oil levels -Dislike the pump as it squirts tiny little bits out and then tends the product to slide under the pump and that feels like a bit of a waste -very expensive (around $AU80). If I'm paying that kind of money for a cleanser, I expect a bit more than just great cleansing, also expect some on-going benefits.
