Concealers -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy Fast Fix Concealer
reddplanet 11/21/2008 11:07:00 PM
I bought this on a whim to try it out. I bought Light and Medium. Neither really worked for my skin tone and neither covered anything. It was also really creamy, and not in a good way...too thin, too sheer.

Primer/ Corrector -Sally Hansen - sally hansen natural beauty inspired by carmindy luminizing face primer
reddplanet 11/21/2008 11:06:00 PM
I have not found a single primer worth a penny of my money, and this falls into that pile. It's slick and greasy feeling, and it's got chunks of shimmer and glitter. It felt absolutely gross on my skin, like Id not washed my face or hair in a month or something. I had to wash it off it was so vile.

Powders -Smashbox - Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder
reddplanet 4/26/2008 2:54:00 PM
I ordered this from a TSV on QVC and was really disappointed. The coverage was pretty inadequate considering how it was described in the show. It was also ridiculously "shimmery", and the shimmer had some kind of bizarre color to it, I looked artificial in it. I felt kind of itchy in it, and it never quite went away. Also when I would get warm, it would burn. I got a rash from it similar to what I get with Mineral makeups. I tried this in two colors and neither worked for me. Light was just a bit too dark, and Fair was WAY pink. I was hopeful that this would work but unfortunately it did not.

Makeup Brushes -Bobbi Brown - Kabuki
reddplanet 3/15/2007 11:56:00 AM
I purchased my first one about 6 months ago from Nordstrom. It was great the first two days I used it, then bristles were coming out all over my face. Not like they were breaking off, full long bristles. So I washed it hoping that if some were lose it would rinse them away. That actually made it so much worse. The brush shedded in CLUMPS. So I returned it, thinking IT might have been a defective one. But now the 2nd one has been doing it as well. So Im going to take it back this weekend and get something different. Its soft but certainly not the softest brush Ive ever used. For a Bobbi Brown brush I would expect MUCH better quality and construction.

Cleansers -Shu Uemura - Cleansing Beauty Oil Premium A/O
reddplanet 9/20/2006 12:35:00 PM
I bought this on recommendation from my SA at the San Francisco Nordstrom while I was on vacation there. I am amazed how great this product is. I use Differin on my face to keep it clear and clean and I go in spurts using it, so every few months I have to go through the 3-4week "molting" stage of pain and peeling and major irritation. I started using this product the same time I started back up on the Differin and I cannot begin to rave about how wonderful this made the "molting stage". I started both products on Sunday of last week, now a week and a half later on Wed, the molting is complete, and my face looks and feels WONDERFUL. It helped shorten the irritation by at least a week and a half-2weeks. My husband said my face feels and looks SO much better, and even at the worst spot of the molting, my face wasn't that bad. I bought the smaller bottle to try it out and will be buying the bigger one soon, I have a feeling this smaller bottle will last a good while. I love that it takes MAYBE 2-3 pumps to remove a whole face of mostly waterproof makeup, and how it doesn't screw up my contacts or make me foggy. I still wash with my MaryKay cleanser once after I rinse this product off, just because I like the foaming cleansers but unlike when I just used the MK cleanser, my face is not anywhere near as dry and is MUCH softer. LOVE this stuff! Cost effective, practical and it WORKS.

Misc Beauty Tools -La Cross - Exact Tweezers needlepoint

Instead of messing with getting it resharpened I just buy new ones every few years. I LOVE these tweezers. Get every hair, and it's cheap. I even bought the tiny tweezers like this for my purse. Plucking with the sunroof open makes for easier viewing.

Hair -Graham Webb - Halo Keep Safe Leave in Color Sealant
reddplanet 4/5/2004 10:18:00 PM
FABULOUS. I love this stuff. It keeps my color looking great, seals it in, and keeps my hair soft and manageable. It keeps the shine up. I wish it smelled like the shampoo and conditioner but I love it enough to not care.

Can't say enough good stuff about this line. I adore it. I stockpiled it and have liters of it. I cannot let myself run out. It smells good, isn't coating, doesn't build up, doesn't dull hair at all. My color is more beautiful because of this product.

Shampoo -Graham Webb - Halo Drench Hydrating Shampoo
reddplanet 4/5/2004 10:15:00 PM
I will probably NEVER stop using this as my HG shampoo. Best stuff I have ever come across. SO good that I have 2 liters of it in my closet. I can't allow myself to run out. I think I might be obsessed but nothing has ever kept my hair this soft, shiny and kept my color this perfect. I will never go back.

Hair -Graham Webb - Halo Outshine High Gloss Rinse
reddplanet 4/5/2004 10:13:00 PM
Love! Do it after you wash with the shampoo and use a few blasts of heat to warm it up, it lasts longer. Then rinse well and apply the conditioner, as this isn't moisturizing at all. Love this line.

I wasn't overwhelmed by the packaging or price, both were absurd but so far I LOVE it. I only really use it for my brow filler and the occasional eyeliner sealing/powder shadow as liner sealing. I actually liek the little brush in the jar because that way I just dap a dot on the back of my hand, dip my liner brush in it, then dap it on the edge of the shadow (I use a shadow for brows too) and apply to fill my arch. It doesn't budge all day. Sometimes Ill apply a little to the mascara wand it came with and brush over my brows with it... Im impressed. I LOATHE all things Benefit except for this single solitary product.

Shampoo -Schwarzkopf - OSIS Energizing Shampoo
reddplanet 2/7/2004 3:16:00 PM
Its an excellent shampoo for a new, usually Salon only line. Schwartzkopf makes some of THE best haircolor products known to man, and their shampoos, conditioners and styling products are right up there in quality. This particular line, OSIS, offers a variety of styling products as well as Shampoos and Conditioenrs. I have tried their color care shampoos and they are fantastic. This particular product, the Energizing shampoo, is excellent as well and is very safe for color. It cleans well without stripping and is not drying at all. NO waxy or silicone related buildup. My only complaints: 1) the smell. I have used Schwartzkopf products for many years, Love them dearly, but this line smells like old lady strong perfume. Its very similar smellwise to Graham Webb, another fabulous line but again..stinky. I can't stand perfumey hair products. I will use this up and probably go back to my other Schwartzkopf products because they aren't stinky. 2) While the packaging is freaking cool, and the shampoos and conditioners come in 32 oz sizes as well, the "regular" sizes aren't very large. Mind you I could get 2-3 months out of that pump shampoo and refill with a 32oz'er, the conditioner bottle is really small. Im sure I could refill it with a 32 oz'er but meh. I also reviewed the conditioner. All in all FABULOUS, if you can tolerate the smell.

Shampoo -Pureology - Pureology Hydrate Shampoo

Worst shampoo I have used, ever. Stripped my color out with one washing and left my hair feeling like grimey straw. I won't be recommending this, and I won't bring it into my house ever again.
