Cleansers -Obagi - Foaming Gel
rated 3 of 5
pinkmagdusia 1/11/2009 11:41:00 PM

It's expensive and hard to find. I had to purchase it at a doctor's office. The cleanser is okay, but nothing special. It did not improve my skin, but to be fair, my skin is in pretty good condition. My skin did not feel dry not greasy after using this so no complaints there. It's an okay cleanser, but in my opinion, not worth the money. I like Clinique liquid cleansers just as well and those are half the price of the Obagi cleanser.

Pressed Powders -LORAC - Translucent Touch Up Powder-TL 1
rated 4 of 5
pinkmagdusia 1/11/2009 11:36:00 PM

This a bit expensive but it works well. I wanted a powder that goes on light and does not make my skin too matte looking. I like a glowing look but need something to set my foundation. This does a good job since it doesn't take the glow away. It is firmly pressed so it will probably last for a long time.

Cleansers -Shiseido - The Skincare Extra Gentle Cleansing Foam
rated 2 of 5
pinkmagdusia 1/4/2009 2:56:00 AM

This is mediocre at best. The name is deceiving as this is not extra gentle. My skin feels stripped and very dry when I use this. The good thing is, if someone likes using it, the tube will last for freaking ever! I will not repurchase because it's too drying for me, but might work for oily skin types. I like the scent, but again, this is not extra gentle.

Moisturizers -Serious Skin Care - 2-million IU vitamin A cream with Retinol
rated 4 of 5
pinkmagdusia 1/4/2009 2:49:00 AM

This is pretty good. I don't know about long term results as I stopped using this product for a while, but it did good while I was using it. The problem with any retinol product is that you have to be careful when using toners or exfoliants. Irritation can occur quite easily. I also get scared of getting sun damage easily when using retinol. This is the main reason why I stopped using retinol. If I had an office job with no windows, I would use this daily. As far as consistency, it's great and sinks into my skin quickly. It's not that good for super dry skin, but will work just fine for normal to slightly dry skin. The packaging rocks.

Treatments (Eye) -Serious Skin Care - A-eye
rated 4 of 5
pinkmagdusia 1/4/2009 2:45:00 AM

Packaging is good. Price is fair. Ingredients I am not sure about since I'm not an expert in that department. Consistency is nice and sinks in quickly. This keeps my under eye area smooth. A note to the other reviewers: You are not supposed to use eye cream on your lids, especially one with retinol. Eye cream should be applied under the eyes and to the sides, sliding the cream to the temples. It can also be applies to the brows and area between the brows, but it should NEVER be applied to lids. Also, retinol itself might not cause much irritation, but exposure to other strong ingredients (toners/exfoliants) or sun rays can irritate the skin. Wear sunglasses while outside when using this eye cream!

Moisturizers -Caudalie - vinosource anti-wrinkle nourishing cream for dry skin
rated 5 of 5
pinkmagdusia 1/4/2009 2:33:00 AM

I have this and other Caudalie moisturizers in sample tubes. I probably got 30 of these little tubes and I couldn't be happier. This moisturizer smells amazing and it really soothes dry skin. It is such a pleasure to use! I don't need anti wrinkle creams just yet, but I use this as a treat. It's that great!

Crème -Cover Girl - AquaSmooth SPF15 Make-up
rated 5 of 5
pinkmagdusia 1/4/2009 2:24:00 AM

This product is really good and costs very little. I am surprised at how well it blends. I use a damp sponge to apply this and get light coverage. This is buildable so heavier coverage is possible. There is no scent that I can detect. I have NW15 or NW20 skin tone and I use this in Classic Ivory. It's a tad light but nothing a little blush or bronzer can't fix. I recommend this product, especially for someone who is looking for a cream foundation but can't shell out for a pricier brand. I don't see any difference between this and the MAC cream foundation.

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Skin Genesis Wet Cleansing Towlettes
rated 4 of 5
pinkmagdusia 1/4/2009 2:16:00 AM

Great for removing makeup or a quick face cleaning before bed. Also handy when I am redoing my makeup mid-day. They smell great! The cloth is really nice and soft, does not rip easily. The wipes are big enough to clean the whole face, but I always use two if I am wearing makeup. I have used many different brands and these are one of the better I've tried. The price is great, especially that you can always find a sale at drugstores or Ulta. I like that these wipes have beta hydroxy acids since that's great for keeping pores clean and skin smooth. The packaging is superior to all other wipes I have tried. I love that the opening is made of hard plastic that snaps closed. This way you can store these up side down and keep them wet. I am very happy with these!

Hair Removal -Unlisted Brand - Smooth Away hair removing pads
rated 1 of 5
pinkmagdusia 12/23/2008 10:42:00 PM

What a waste of money! This ridiculous product barely took off a hair. It took about 30 minutes of constant rubbing in circular motion to remove about half of the hair on my lower leg. That is half of one leg! I tried to use the small piece to remove some peach fuzz off of my face and that was a complete waste of time. It did not work! I am very disappointed. I could have gotten something much better for my $10.

Conditioner -Joico - Moisture Recovery
rated 5 of 5
pinkmagdusia 12/7/2008 5:40:00 PM

I had recently bleached my hair from nearly black to blond. Then I put red over the blond. That adds up to a lot of damage. My hair felt very dry and crunchy. I went to Ulta and looked around for salon hair care that doesn't cost a fortune. I picked up this conditioner to put some moisture back into my hair. I use Kerastase shampoo which works well so I did not purchase the accompanying shampoo. I used this twice now and my hair has improved quite a bit. It has proteins, which are great for over processed hair. I didn't want too much protein as that can build up and I wanted moisture so this was the perfect combination. I am extremely happy with this conditioner, much much happier than I was with Redken's AllSoft.

Treatments (Eye) -Lancome - Primordiale Eye Skin Recharge
rated 5 of 5
pinkmagdusia 9/21/2008 1:15:00 AM

It's hard to see results because I don't really have issues with my eye area. I don't suffer from bags or dryness so I can't really see the anti aging benefits. I think this eye cream is great though. It's a pleasure to use, absorbs nicely, keep the eye area hydrated, and does not sting my eyes. What more could I want? The whole Primordiale Skin Recharge line is amazing!

Moisturizers -Lancome - Primordiale Night Skin Recharge
rated 5 of 5
pinkmagdusia 9/21/2008 1:10:00 AM

I am posting the same review for this as I posted for the day cream. Here it is: I never thought I would say this about any Lancome product, but I LOVE this moisturizer. I have always had combo skin, oily t-zone and normal to dry cheeks. My problem area were always my pores and little red bumps on my forehead. For the last two years or so I have been searching for a product to reduce the bumps on my forehead. I have tried everything I could think of. I've used salicylic acid, glycolic acid, citric acid peel, face scrubs, clarisonic, retinol, and even oils. Nothing has helped. I was never stingy when it came to skincare and I've tried many different brands, both expensive and cheap. On September 8th, which was my birthday, I went shopping with a friend for my b-day present. My friend being very generous offered to buy me a set of cosmetics. I figured it was perfect since the weather is changing and I will need new stuff for the colder months. I stopped at Lancome just to look around, not intending to do much shopping at that counter. The saleslady told me her age and my jaw dropped. She is 38 years old and looks no older than 30. I was in shock and demanded she tell me her secret. She admitted that she doesn't do anything special, just stays very consistent in her routine and doesn't change products. Apparently, they work best when you use them consistently without interrupting the ritual with random products. She said that she has always used Lancome, but wasn't very pushy. She had nice things to say about other lines as well, but was confident that Lancome is a good brand. I liked her non pushy attitude and decided on buying the Primoridiale Skin Recharge line. I got the day cream, night cream, and eye cream. I started using them twice a day every day and to my surprise and delight, the bumps on my forehead started to disappear. I have never seem such a dramatic change in my skin in such a short time. I am simply amazed at the results. My bumps are almost gone. I still have a few near the hairline, but it's about a 85% improvement. The pores on my nose stay looking clean, not many blackheads. Seeing the great results after only a week, I went back to Lancome and purchased a cleanser and a toner. Now I am hooked. I am so glad I took a chance on something I thought was just an over advertised brand. My skin is so smooth and the redness is almost all gone. I actually stopped wearing foundation. I have never been this happy with a product before.
