Concealers -Make Up For Ever - Extreme Camouflage Cream

This is the *only* non-drugstore makeup item that I splurge on. It's just so much better than every drugstore concealer (in terms of coverage & wear). The squeeze tube is hygienic but makes it easy to squeeze out more than you want. However, I realized that the tube is so large that per ounce this concealer actually costs about the same as my old Cover Girl concealer. A definite repurchase!

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - HIP Color Truth Cream Eyeliner in Black

I looked for this for several weeks and finally found it in an out-of-the way CVS and I'm so glad I did! The black goes on smoothly and stays put. It's a little pricey but will last for ages. New instant HG eyeliner. I want some other colors too! PS - I applied this using a cheap NYX slanted brush, the included brush is too wide and scratchy.

Sunscreen -Banana Boat - Sun Wear Faces Daily Sunblock Lotion SPF 30

I had been using Neutrogena Dry Touch 55 without trouble, but it was so heavy & a bit shiny. I picked this up for a change. The scent is strong but nice, the product is easy to spread, absorbs quickly and has a nice matte finish. However, I used it for two days and it seems to have caused me to break out in tiny whiteheads, something my old Neutrogena never did. I'm sorry to say that, at this point, I wouldn't repurchase. It's been a few months, and I'm giving this another try - hopefully I'll be able to change it to "yes, I would buy this product again" later. I finally figured out what this smells like! It's a ridiculously artificial honeysuckle scent, ugh. I'll still use it though. Update 9/1/07 - The breakouts I had the first time I used this must have been a coincidence. It's light, absorbs well & the price is right. Scent is very strong & fake, but I'll live with it. Give this a try!

Conditioner -Regis - Design Line Olive Oil Conditioner

HG conditioner! I have thick, dry, curly colored hair and this really moisturizes better than anything else I have tried. The consistency is just right, rich but spreadable, and it absorbs quickly and detangles very well. There are no silicones, so I know my hair is getting *real* moisture, not just coated. The plumeria-like smell is great too. Sometimes I just want to bathe in this stuff! I have repurchased and will continue to do so. It's a steal when the liters go on sale too, even cheaper than most drugstore products.

Shampoo -Regis - Design Line Olive Oil Shampoo
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:22:00 AM
Great stuff! Smells like plumeria to me, lathers well, cleans well. Perhaps a *teensy* bit more cleansing than I would like, but the Olive Oil conditioner moisturizes very well to make up for that. I love the pretty green color and the thin consistency is easy to distribute in hair. It's a steal when the liters go on sale too, even cheaper than most drugstore products.

Conditioner -Regis - Design Line - Cherry Almond Moisturizing Conditioner
pamaz 11/10/2007 11:21:00 AM
This is a nice conditioner, probably good for people with most hair types. I do not believe is is *that* moisturizing, but the matching shampoo is so gentle that I don't need a ton of moisture to replenish what moisture got washed out. Doesn't detangle quite as well as Regis Olive Oil, and doesn't feel as heavy on my hair (I like some weight). It doesn't smell as good as the Cherry Almond shampoo either, a bit more chemical-y. Nonetheless, this is not bad stuff, and I will buy it again to go with the shampoo. It's a steal when the liters go on sale too, even cheaper than most drugstore products.

This stuff is great for my thick, dry, curly, colored hair! The shampoo doesn't lather very much but does a good job cleansing. My hair doesn't feel stripped after I rinse. This shampoo is probably NOT good for people with limp, fine, flat, or oily hair. But for me, two thumbs up! It's a steal when the liters go on sale too, even cheaper than most drugstore products.
