i have combo t-zone skin and this powder makes me so shiney and oily looking. it feels heavy and gross.
the medium-dark is perfect for my nc35 skin tone but does not keep my shiney face matte for long. i want to say this makes me shinier. i get shiney after 2hrs. vs. dream matte powder or cargo hi def powder or mark's mattenificent powder i stay matte a little longer and don't have to blot as much. mark's mattenificent powder is a great cheap alternative if you are looking for something like mac's blot powder.
after trying several powder foundations, this is the best one i've found. my skin tone is a nc 35 and i wear the golden. i conceal around my eyes and nose and use a powder brush to apply and it gives me the look i want. matte then turns to semi-matte after settling in. this does not make me break out, look shiney, or cakey. i have tried LM, Edm, Korres, Tarte, Lorac, Givenchy, EL, Mac, Benefit Hello Flawless, Clinique and etc and this is the best for me considering i have combo/zit prone/sensitive skin.

minimal coverage and makes me look shiney. no oil control. this sucks!!

i have combo skin. nc 35 and #20 is perfect for the winter. now that summer is here i am wearing #30. it looks very natural, semi-matte finish. after a couple of hours my t -zone is shiney but not oily. i use a big brush and apply it on top of my maybelline powder foundation and it looks great. one time the mirror fell off the compact but sephora was nice to do an exchange. this is slightly better than mac's blot powder. my blot powder only last 2-3 hrs and i have to reapply.
st.tropez is an awesome match for my nc 35 skin. this powder foundation does not have any coverage, at all!. i toned, used my estee lauder idealist and then a moisturizer and this on top. applied w/ a brush this makes ur skin look very dry. even w/ my oily t-zone. after a while it makes you very oily. applied w/ sponge gives you a nice even toned look w/o flakies, then 2-3 hrs later shine all over your face! i don't get it. bone dry then oily and no coverage. thought i could at least use it as a blot powder but it makes me oiler so this is no good use. black case turned ashy after 1 day due to handling and placing it in my makeup bag. urggg!. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BUY THIS POWDER.
today is day 2 of wearing hello flawless in beige. i know it's too soon but im so eager. so beige is not the exact but the closest match to may nc 35, buttered tan in edm, 040 light natural ochre in shiseido, #5 in laura mercier, sand in prescriptives and st.tropez in nars. i have combination skin thats acne prone. so far no new blemishes. it's a mess to apply with a kabuki or top flat brush bc the powder gets everywhere. a foundation brush is best but the powder seems to sit on top of the my skin and takes a little to melt in. it looks much more flawless w/ a sponge and you can still control the amount of powder applied for a sheer -moderate coverage. my t-zone haven't been oily or needed any blotting even after 6hrs. i normally use mac's blot powder after using any of the powders listed above, but not this one. after applying this powder w/ a sponge or brush you can use a concealer brush and go back on blemishes or on the creases of your nose. lasting power is much better than any foundation powder i've used, yes even LM. no color change. only thing i dont't like is only getting .25oz for the price. there is a small amount of "shine" not like oil grease but the kind you get from mineral makeup. very minimal but still there. i guess thats from the mica. i like this powder but im always hunting for something better. i have money left on my sephora gift card so next up is Korres affinity powder for combo-oily skin! edit: to good to be true! this makes my face shiney and unnatural. : ( it also emphasized flaws.

i used this last summer. weird leathery compact. the powder covered well and looked smooth on. over time the makeup became darker and darker and i was already tanned. i didnt want to look darker than my neck so it didn't work out.
Powder -Shiseido - Perfect Smoothing Compact Foundation SPF 15

ooh shiseido how much u suck now!!! due to the fine ad i thought this would be perfect for me. little did i know it was thick and seperated after a couple of hrs and settled into the creases of my nose and became oily and broke me out in little bumps. the makeup lady said there was a lot of returns due to the similar complaints.
Loose Powders -Laura Mercier - Secret Brightening Powder

i use this everyday dusting it over my under eye concealer after i apply my eyeshadows for an eye brightening look. i think this can be easily subsituted for a lot of other things. im not sure if i will repurchase bc it doesnt last and kinda sorta makes a diff after my concealer. i will probably buy neutrogena's new eye concealer pot w/ the same looking eye brightening powder. almost like one that laura mercier also has.
i would never pay 15 bucks for lip glosses again. i have many of avons and they are great quality. smooth, not sticky, no fragrance, doesn't make my lips chapped like cliniques. i have all colors and i dont't need to worry about my hair getting caught on my lips w/ light wind.
surprisingly awesome!! i had no idea the brushes would be so soft and applied makeup smoothly. i adore the eyeliner angles brush. very good quality. the eyeshadow brushes are much better than sonia kusaks from target. synthetic and soft.

the compact is so unique and pretty and the powder made my face look so luminous and soft but oh how it made my eyes swell!!.. even just using it on my forehead and the bottom half of my face it still swelled. didnt' use it.. no swelling.. used it swelled!! and it cleared up my face. the irony.
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
oohollyoo 1/3/2009 6:21:00 PM
you dont need concealer if u use this. it makes your eyeshadows pop, stay on longer, and doesn't crease. sad part is that it contains parabens. : ( not sure maybe... i will buy this again but will remain using it until it's gone.

this is a great deal considering if bought individually. love the eyeshadows esp w/ the primer potion for dramatic or soft looks. the bronzer and blush is nice and i really like the brushes and mascara that comes w/ it. i dont use the lip glosses but i am happy i got this in my collection along w/ the smashbox rapture pallete.
