Although there is a sticker on my tube that "100% little black dress APPROVED" I got stains on my dark color clothing. Protection is so so, a bit better than rival Dove. I have Pure Satin scent and it is alright. Now, I use this for my sweaty feet (especially under my toes) when I go out for hiking. It works somehow!

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Ban Invisible Solid Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant
rated 1 of 5

I have this in Paradise Winds and the scent is OK but protection is none. It is slightly better than bare skin on armpits but doesn't not protect from wetting or stinking even in regular activities :(

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Adidas Action 3 48hr Protection
rated 2 of 5
nyomya 10/29/2008 2:22:00 PM

Far away from 48 hours, I got sweaty armpits less than 4 hours. Not very stinky but uncomfortably (and noticeably) wet. I was not at the gym or workouts; just in regular activities. The scent I have is Pure Powder.

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Sure Invisible Solid - All Scents
rated 1 of 5
nyomya 10/29/2008 2:16:00 PM

I have Invisible solid in Fresh Scent and I like the scent and the price but I got yellowish stains on my clothing. I tried with different color of clothes but I still got stains and hard to wash off without bleaching. Too bad, the price is cheap and protection is so so.

Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Lady Speed Stick Clinical Proof
rated 3 of 5
nyomya 10/29/2008 2:12:00 PM

This is one of the latest "Clinical Strength" deodorants in the market and a bit cheaper than popular Secret Clinical Strength. I have sweaty armpits these days and tried from Degree, Dove, Sure, and Adidas but nothing works for my stressed days. I bought this LSSCP and it is gentle on my the next morning of freshly epilated armpits but I got sweaty and a bit stinky somehow. I applied at nights and again after shower in the mornings as directed but not worked for me. The latest purchase is Secret Flawless and it is a bit better (and cheaper) than this LSS clinical proof. I am thinking of trying Secret Clinical Strength sports soon.

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Revitalift UV [DISCONTINUED]
rated 4 of 5
nyomya 10/20/2008 8:13:00 PM

I recently bought two bottles of this UV cream that I found in CVS' 90%off bin (and the exp date is Dec. 2009). My expectations were low as I have oily skin and according to the MUA's reviews, not good for oily skin. I intended to use on my neck anyway but I also tried on my face. I think it depends on following products as I had mixed results with 3 different following MU applications. First day, I tried with Rimmel Lasting mineral foundation with shiny face result;and the next day, I applied Shiseido Pureness MU powder with much better result; then the next day, I applied L'Oreal Cashmere Perfect MU and Laura Mercier loose powder over this UV cream with similar result as Shiseido. My face got shiny in the evening when I didn't touch up during the day. Not sure about lifting anything. I'd already have normal smoothness so I still haven't noticed any improvement yet. I'll update after I finish my first bottle. BTW, the weather in DC area is getting colder and that's why I try this cream. For warmer days, I'd stay away.

Shampoo -SAMY - Dry Spray Shampoo
rated 3 of 5
nyomya 10/13/2008 5:48:00 PM

I had an emergency to go to hospital as a translator and did not have time to wash my hair in the morning. While in the break, I went out and saw Walgreen nearby and bought this dry spray, went to restroom, sprayed my hair, and brushed. My hair looked like it was washed the day before, but noticeable improvement from greasy flat hair. I have fine short chops/layered Asian non-colored hair (mid-neck length). I paid $7.99 for a 5oz spray can but there was bogo 50% off so I bought two cans, one for my upcoming trip to the Rockies where I can not probably bathe everyday at the camp. I had Pantene pomade in my hair and when I sprayed this over, the style stayed the same. I did feel like I had hair spray though I personally don't use styling hair spray. It surely is instant dry, no rubbing or towel drying. However, if you need some thorough cleaning without water/shampoo (for patients, etc., then try "Comfort Bath Shampoo Cap" see my review that I tried for my mother after her eye surgery). Update: I woke up with straw-like hair and a bit itchy sculpt. This spray has oat extracts and not sure that made me feel like I had a wig. It was not flat but not natural feeling I used to have. I shampooed twice with VO5 clarifying shampoo and used Sunsilk deep conditioner but I still did not get my natural hair feeling. I prefer "feeling" more than "looking good" so this is my personal preference. If you are comfortable with stiff hair spray feeling, no problem using this spray. I won't use mine again and took 2 lippies off. Update 9/5/09: If your intention is like mine, you may like "No Rinse" shampoo from REI stores. It's cheaper than this Samy and shampoo caps. 2oz for $1.50, 8oz for $4.50.

Polishes -OPI - Designer Series - DS Original
rated 5 of 5
nyomya 10/6/2008 6:05:00 PM

I accidentally found this bottle in Ulta's clearance bin about a year ago and love it very much. I normally applied only one coat and it lasted over a week without chipping. Very beautiful sparkles, especially under bright light. This is a picture of my one-week-old color with Giant Great Shark Tooth from Smithsonian Natural History Museum Sant Ocean Hall in DC (one coat with this DS Original with OPI base and top coats): http://img.makeupalley.com/8/3/7/3/1083692.J

Powder -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Mineral Powder Foundation
rated 2 of 5
nyomya 9/11/2008 8:49:00 PM

I received sample pack along with a coupon from the magazine I subscribed. It's Soft Beige and pinkish pretty color. When I applied with foundation brush on my face, I didn't see any difference with this powder. The color looked pretty in the packet but did not show up any on my face, far away from covering up the unwanted freckles. It is advertised as "All day natural glow" but I prefer something a little bit to cover up. I like Rimmel Lasting Finish Mineral Enriched foundation though.

Treatments -Olay - Regenerist Reversal Treatment Foam
rated 4 of 5
nyomya 9/4/2008 8:45:00 PM

I was looking around for eye cream and found this one on CVS weekly circular. Though this is not advertised as eye cream, I wanted to try this as I don't want to spend $$ for 0.5oz eye creams. Anyway, I can't find the physical bottle at nearby CVS so I checked on-line and found at Harmon with only $6.50. I purchased 3 bottles because the price is much cheaper than CVS advertised sales price at $23.99 per bottle. I didn't mind paying $5 shipping from Harmon for this price. (BTW, no Harmon in DC, just their store bands at Bed, Bath & Beyond beauty centers.) Please note that some websites (including drugstore.com) advertised this as cleaning foam, but this is NOT for cleansing. The size is 1.7oz and made in China (keeping my fingers crossed). Anyway, here's the review: Texture: Very light foam and spread well on face. Noticeably lighter than Definity foaming moisturizer. Don't feel anything on my oily face. I am glad that this is not greasy at all. Mica is the last in the ingredients list so barely visible with normal eyes. Less visible than Quench body lotion. I prefer without mica in skin care products (minus one lippie for this reason). Scent: Very light scent, similar to other Regenerist products but lighter than most Olay products I've tried before. Packaging: Pretty red can with pump and cap. See pictures (links below). Shake well though. No excessive packing like Definity. Result: It's early to tell whether my lines are disappeared as I just started using it in a few days. I'll update a week later whether I got zits or other side effects. (9/11/08: No breakout or side effects.) I'll also update a month later about 4 tiny lines under my eyes. I don't have other visible lines on my face YET! I'll be 35 soon and started seeing a couple of white hair so I'm expecting to see some more lines on my face as well. I'll try to take care of them and try not to worry much :) Since I'd already purchased 3 bottles, I would not return them unless I get breakouts. Ingredients and other claims on package: see these pictures: http://img.makeupalley.com/8/3/7/3/1057844.JPG http://img.makeupalley.com/8/3/7/3/1057843.JPG http://img.makeupalley.com/8/3/7/3/1057842.JPG Update 10/6/08: I am surprised that nobody else writes review yet. I am still in love with this foam though my existing fine lines are still on my face and so do freckles. This is a good moisturizer for oily face. Update 3/29/09: I'm middle of my second can (can't see how much left though) and no breakout or other side effect. I'm using both days and nights these days. I've clear skin and my face looks good without MU. No more lines yet! Not sure I can give full credit for this Olay but for ~7 bucks, I'll keep buying.

Treatments -Kinerase - Clear Skin Treatment Serum
rated 1 of 5
nyomya 9/4/2008 11:48:00 AM

I normally don't get breakouts since I took birth control pills but I got two zits right after I applied this serum on my eye lids as eye moisturizer. I got a deluxe sample from Sephora and I sas ads of this serum in the magazines so I thought why not try on my lids. I was wrong. The price is way too high for this kind of product. Be careful if you received it as freebie like me.

Polishes -OPI - Fair Dinkum Pinkum
rated 1 of 5
nyomya 8/17/2008 2:17:00 PM

If you are reading this review before your purchase, please think twice! I normally love OPI polishes but not this one. Formula is quite different from the other ~2 dozens OPI bottles I have. This is very sheer but streaks and difficult to apply even with wide pro brush. I've neutral medium skin tone (a bit tanner in the summer) and this color is quite ugly.

Treatments (Eye) -Neutrogena - Anti-Oxidant Age Reverse Eye Cream

Do yourself a big favor by not buying this. Expensive and waste of money. Not moisturizing enough and just use your regular face moisturizer on your eyes and save $$$.

Cleansers -L'Oreal - Skin Genesis Pore Minimizing Gel Cleanser [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
nyomya 7/26/2008 5:12:00 PM

I used to enjoy L'Oreal cleansers and most of them were discontinued. I am glad to find this one and this is similar to other L'Oreal cleansers. The scent is not that strong, compared to Olay skin care products. Nice scent in my taste. Leather well with a little amount and removed (Banana Boat) sun screen and eye shadow well with second wash. No residue left behind and feeling fresh on my face without tight feeling. It is an 8oz pumped bottle and $5.50 on sales at CVS. Sunday paper usually has coupons for L'Oreal products and I am sure I'll buy again. BTW, pore size is genetic so just ignore all those hypes from the ad.

Primer/ Corrector -Rimmel - Fix and Perfect Foundation Primer
rated 2 of 5
nyomya 5/21/2008 1:37:00 PM

Doesn't really do anything and I'd rather skip this to prevent oilier face during summer. I like lasting finish foundation with minerals and I received this primer free with that foundation purchase. There is only one color and it's peachy Apricot (001). The same 1oz tube like LFF tube and I paid less than $6 for both at Bed, Bath & Beyond Beauty Center.
