Having heard all the rave reviews on this, I decided to buy this palette online along with Lust and Greed as it's not available in the shops here in the UK (grr). It was love at first swatch when it arrived! I'm extremely impressed, especially for the price... the shadows are very pigmented, not chalky and blend like a dream. I use this often for neutral looks. Definitely worth purchasing if you do neutral eyes a lot!

Bronzers -Natio - Pressed Powder Bronzer
rated 5 of 5

Being fair skinned, I usually steer clear of bronzers. However, this one changed my views completely! This bronzer is beautiful - not too red toned or 'muddy' like many bronzers. It is very pigmented, so you don't need a lot, especially if you're pale like me. It also has a subtle shimmer, NOT in-your-face glittery, it's gorgeous and gives you a natural glow. Comes in a huge plain black compact - you really do get so much for your money here. To apply, personally I use a large fluffy brush, tap off the excess and apply a small amount to my cheeks, and even less on my forehead and chin. Fair skinned girls, this will work just fine for you IF you have a light touch and know when enough is enough. You only need a tiny bit, so this compact should last a very long time. Will purchase again... if it ever runs out!

Lipstick -MAC - Velvet Teddy

This was actually my first MAC lipstick, and recommended by one of the girls at the counter. I thought it was a bit of an odd choice at first as it seemed like a nude colour for darker skin tones (I'm very pale), but as soon as she tried it on me I fell in love. She used a bit of Lip Erase balm first, so it didn't turn out too dark and it looked beautiful. It's a really unusual colour on me actually.. predominantly brown but with hints of a sort of coral-pink which I've not seen on other peoples swatches. The texture is lovely, very creamy which is nice for a matte lipstick. I use this over a little bit of foundation on my lips (seeing as Lip Erase is sold out online, reeeeeally want some of this stuff its amazing!) so it doesn't look too dark on my fair skin. Personally I would not recommend this lipstick for warm skintones as it is quite cool. Will definitely purchase again.

Eyeliner -Collection 2000 - Fast Stroke Liquid Eyeliner
rated 5 of 5

I've tried what seems like thousands of liquid eyeliners, some expensive and some not so expensive. I was looking for one that stays on all day, stays black and has a good applicator that wasn't too thin and not too flexible. Honestly, this is the best liquid eyeliner I've ever used. It's easy to apply as the applicator isn't overly flexible like some others I've tried, and isn't super thin. Even though the bottle looks tiny, this actually lasts me months and months before needing to buy another one. I've had a lot of 'black' eyeliners that haven't really been black at all.. they go on dark but then dry as an unflattering grey. Not this one, however. It goes on black and stays black. This eyeliner also stays on all day without smudging or fading, but is also super easy to remove when you want to take it off. My only gripe with this product is that after you've used it for a long time the applicator gets less precise as its cheap. However this isn't a problem if you're like me and apply eyeliner thick anyway. All in all this eyeliner is brilliant and definitely my HG. I'd definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a good, reasonably priced liquid eyeliner!

Scrubs -Soap and Glory - Breakfast Scrub

This scrub is heavenly! It isn't too rough like some other scrubs I have tried, which I personally prefer, but it still gets the job done. I think I'd buy this just on the scent alone.. if heaven had a scent this would be it! I use this a few times a week paired with The Righteous Butter and my skin always feels lovely and soft afterwards. Would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys scrubs. :)

Liquid -Illamasqua - Rich Liquid foundation

I didn't like this, personally. This was the first high end foundation I used (thankfully I didn't pay full price) and I was really disappointed. This is definitely a full-coverage foundation. It's really thick, almost like a concealer consistency so I tried to mix it with moisturiser to thin it out but it just wouldn't mix properly for some reason. Very difficult to blend as it's quite a dry consistency so ends up being streaky. Accentuated dry patches I didn't even know I had. I used shade 115, a very pale, quite yellow based shade for reference. I do like the fact there's a very wide range of shades for all skin tones though - on the offchance it works for you, you'll probably find a good match. The only use I found for it was thickening my usual foundation when I needed a little more coverage than usual. I think it would work better as a concealer personally. 1 lippy for the wide range of shades. Swapped it away.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Dream Matte Pressed Powder
rated 4 of 5
nukacola 10/15/2011 8:42:00 PM

I think this powder is fairly good for the price. I like the fact the puff is separate from the actual product, but it can be a bit hard to open the separate compartment. Provides quite good coverage without foundation on underneath but I usually use it over liquid foundation. It keeps my oily t-zone at bay for about 6 hours - I need minimal touching up during the day. Can look a little chalky and... well.... powdery if too much is applied, but nothing that can't be fixed with a spritz of setting spray. Good range of colours for all skin tones. Would repurchase as the coverage is good and it controls oil quite well.

Lipstick -Sally Hansen - Natural Beauty Inspired by Carmindy l/s

At just £1.50 each here in the UK, these are extremely good value and come in a wonderful range of colours. The formula is lovely - creamy, long-lasting and moisturising. Wide range of colours. Baby Pink is especially pretty.
