My husband purchased this for me as a gift (Winter '07 Edition). I was sooooooooooo excited to try out all of the colors. The color selection of quite impressive. It makes it fun to try and decide what look I'll wear for the day. The eye shadows apply well with fair staying power; however, the cream shadows aren't so great. I tend to go for brownish eye colors, but there are plenty of blues, purples, and greens too. There are matt colors and several glittery shades too. The blushes are the best. They are not sparkly or glittery and you can mix and match shades for a more unique look - better staying power than the eye shadows. In my kit the lipsticks are called "lip glosses", but they are certainly not creamy like a gloss. Because they look drying by themselves I wear them under my favorite glosses. While I wouldn't waste the money on myself to buy this again, if someone were to give it to me as a gift, I wouldn't pass it up. This would make a nice gift for someone who likes to experiement with different colors or would be great for a "Girl's Night In" party to play with makeup.
I love my L'Oreal Colour Riche line, but Revlon was on sale, so I thought I'd give it a try. I tried 2 colors and returned both: Rose wine (a deep brick-red that was too dark on me) and Ginger Rose (on me it was a dirty mauve color...not pretty). Both seemed to have good staying power, but I gave only 3 starts, because they were too drying on me. This line does seems to have a nice selection of colors, maybe I'll try a different shade when summer comes.
On my fairly pigmented lips, this is a medium brownish-pink. The color is very pretty and natural looking - should work with most skin tones. In my opinion (especially taking cost into account) this gloss line is borderline perfect. Not too sticky. Glossy, but not too shiney. Not too glittery. And the package itself is so small you could easily hide it in your pocket or clutch. While some have complained, I personally like that the applicator wand doesn't deposit a lot on your lips; that means I can throw some on without a mirror. And you can't beat the price. Of note, I have found that Kmart has a better selection of Milani than the drugstores.
Oh, how I love you MUA! Years ago I was in my friend's wedding. The MA who did my makeup told me this shade of gloss would be perfect with my fair coloring, green eyes, and brown hair. I immediately fell in love and had to snatch it up. Since then the logo had worn off the tube leaving only "B Gloss Fiore" on the bottom. I loved the gloss so much I held onto it in case I could somehow find out the actual brand's name.....enter MUA.. After a quick product search, I found my beloved gloss! I know I'm rambling, so here is my actual review. My lips are pretty pigmented, buy this tones them done into a beautiful glossy pale mauve color. Lasts longer of any of my other glosses; that may be due to it's a little stickier than my other glosses. I normally don't buy expensive makeup, but I'll make an excpetion here.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Nude Lustre

This gloss had me at first application. My lips are very pigmented, so it seems most glosses start looking the same color on my lips, but not this one. On me this tones down my lip color to a beautiful honey-peachy-pink. Looks beautiful with a peach-toned blush (like L'Oreal's Innocent Flush). Lasts about an hour or two and it's not too sticky. HG status for me! Edit: I think this is the only lip gloss that I love just as much today as when I first tried it and it's the only lip gloss that I have ever received so many compliments on. I have since re-purchased and will do so again when I run out. For reference my skin is very pale with pink undertones and it doesn't wash me out.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous - Pink Afterglow 020

I had to try this after I had fallen in love with Nude Lustre. What a disapointment! For me it was way too bright and the texture was gritty. After it had worn off you could still see the glitter...not good.
Now I've never tried nyphette before, I'm usually more a drugstore lipgloss kind of girl. My lips are very pigmented, so I have a hard time finding a pink lipgloss that shows up on my lips. On me this shows up very well. It's a gorgeous, sexy light pink with a golden overlay. It's pretty glossy and dramatic (even though it's a light pink) so I usually save it for nights. I think it would work well with most skin tones.
Looks a little scary-pink in the tube, but on my pigmented lips, it turned a very natural light pink. Not brownish or mauveish or coralish like most lip glosses I find...just pink. Nice!
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - HIP Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss PIXIE

Love this gloss. My only complaint is that although it looks a little different in the packaging, when applied it's a twin to CJ Passion Fruit. Although I already have Passion Fruit I'm keeping this one too, because I love the caramel smell of Pixie and I wear them both so much I'll probably run out soon. The color on is a light browny-pinky-mauvey color...very, very pretty.
Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Shinylicious Lipgloss--Pink Sorbet

I'd say this gloss is great if you are looking for a clear gloss (there is not even a hint of pink when you apply it), except that when you squeeze the tube the gloss goops out, making it quite messy. I'll be returning this product.
Blush -L'Oreal - True Match Superblendable Blush in Innocent Flush

Perfect natural looking blush for my PPP skin. I am so pale, most blushed and bronzers I've tried looks ridiculous on me. This gives me a natural-looking, light peachy-pink sun kissed look. There is no shimmer to this blush and the round shaped pan makes for easy application to the brush. People have complained about the brush on the bottom as being useless, but I think it's the best included blush brush I've used. Not a bad price if you get it on BOGOF - If you find a BOGOF, you also might want to try Baby Blossom (beautiful light shimmery pink).
My sister gave this to me and I took it eagerly, because it looked so cool in the tube. When I applied it it was pretty much just a clear gloss with golden glitter in it - how disapointing. To make it worse, after a little smooch session with my DH (sorry if TMI) I had glitter spred all around my mouth. After a little scrubbing with a washcloth they still were just stuck there....not a pretty look.
Oh, how I love this shade. Like the reviewers before me, I am having a difficult time thinking of how to describe the color. This is one of the most unique beautiful lipstick colors I've seen....it reminds of a pinkish colored apple I've eaten - maybe it was a Pink Lady? I'd call it a medium shade of pink with rose and berry undertones and a golden metallic sheen to it. I can't imagine why it has the name Sugar Plum - htere are no hints of plum at all. I'm guessing someone in the L'Oreal lipstick think-tank loved the idea of calling a lipstick Sugar Plum so the next shade that popped up was slapped with the name. My only complaint with this lipstick is that I think becaus eof the metalic sheen, it doesn't seem to look as creamy and smooth on as other CR lipsticks I've tried (so I've docked a lippie). Regardless of that I'll be buying this shade again.
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche in Movie-Time Mauve

This a beautiful light pink shade with hints of mauve and a little rose. I think this shade would be better for daytime. Great staying power and it has that creamy texture most Colour Riche lipsticks have that makes your lips full looking and very soft. This is a limited edition (I found it at Big Lots for $2) so it you find, I'd grab it!
My favorite colors are Watermelon Crush and Pashion Fruit Squeeze (my HG). I've tried a couple other colors that were ok, but these 2 are beautiful. The texture isn't overly sticky and for a gloss they both last fairly well. As they fade they leave a pretty tint on your lips). They are kind of pricey, but you can find a BYGOF for L'Oreal products if you wait. I've also seen Walmart carry them for under $6 (oh, not that I shop there or anything...) My only complaint about CJ is, if you look at the reviews it sounds as if there are many beautiful colors, but I haven't seen them at the drug stores near me - maybe they're d/c?
