Shampoo -Wella - Color Preserve
rated 4 of 5

This shampoo is 13 dollars, but after spending way too much money coloring my hair I figured why not splurge a bit more. I bought it at Ulta and got the Volumizing Version. The shampoo is clear which I like if it is not supposed to be a moisturizing version, it seems to leave your hair easier and feels lighter. I have not noticed the usual fading I get right after I color my hair, even my colorist said by this time it would be toned down a bit and it still looks like I came out of the salon. If your hair is dry or damaged I wouldn't recommend the Volumizing version as it gets it that squeaky clean that may strip you of the oils that you need. My hair is superfine and shoulder length so I figured correctly that it would not be too drying, although I follow up with the Hydrating version of the conditioner which is like big drink of water for your hair and is a great detangler, supposedly a better detangler than the Volumizing version. For some reason the conditioner costs a dollar more than the shampoo. 27 dollars is a lot for shampoo and conditioner; however, I am glad I took the splurge! EDIT- I dyed it in August and it is the last week of Oct, my color is still here!

Conditioner -Wella - Color Preserve

This product is, at least for me, expensive at 14 dollars a bottle. I was actually told by my colorist at Vidal Sassoon that conditioner doesn't matter and a color keeping shampoo is most important, but I wanted to try this out as a set with the shampoo. I have thin hair but a lot of it, with waves that twist and turn everyone making knots a regular occurrence even though it is only shoulder length. The conditioner detangles well for me, the comb glides right through after my shower. I used the hydrating one, maybe the other versions don't detangle as well. My hair is not super soft but it does not feel rough or matted either afterwards. I would recommend getting it on sale, not sure if this is HG material with the price but then again for me 14 dollars is a splurge. EDIT- I dyed my hair in August and it is almost Nov, my hair color is still totally colored

A gorgeous shimmery nude color good for all complexions. There is a lot of product in the tube so you get a lot for a very low price.

Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship
rated 4 of 5

My only complaint is the packaging- the bottle broke which has never happened before in my life. The shampoo spilled everywhere but I like it enough that I bought another in the family size, hopefully it will be more sturdy. Unlike a lot of scented shampoo the smell lasts and it is not cloying. I would give it 5 stars except for the packaging.

Masks -Freeman - Cucumber & Ginseng Peel- Off Masque

Takes forever to dry, and I have never been able to really peel this off. Since it takes so long to dry I usually end up rinsing it off. This is best for use in the summer, it is mostly alcohol.

Treatments -Clinique - Anti Blemish Solution
rated 5 of 5

Lasts forever, and I agree with the review that says it either makes them easy to pop or kills it completely. It does not dry out my skin but I use it once a day, twice only if I have some serious issues but that is rare. I have very sensitive skin and it does not irritate at all.

Lipstick -Unlisted Brand - Savvy Lipstick
rated 1 of 5

I purchased several Savvy Lipsticks from Sally's, as they were on sale for $2.49. The shades I got were mauve, reddish brown and a beigy-pink, so a pretty wide spectrum. All the colors looked positively garish, like Halloween makeup, and literally smeared as soon as I put them on. This is hands down the worst lipstick lipstick I have ever came across, luckily Sally's gave me a refund. If you are looking for cheap stuff, NYC and Wet and Wild is far superior to this crap.

This is perfect if you cannot get away with wearing black/vamp colored nailpolish at work . It is dramatic looking and sophisticated and you can wear it anywhere and look appropriate. The color is gorgeous, a deep wine that is shiny.

This smells like moth balls, and the scent is so bad it smells worse the longer it stays on you. The worst scent ever made, period.

Hair -Finesse - Finesse plus - shampoo & conditioner in 1

Pretty decent shampoo, I am pretty sure this would cause buildup if used daily though. I have the moisturizing version and it smells the like I remember it smelling 20 years ago, which is a good thing.

Polishes -Orly - L.A. Sashay

I am finicky about nail polish to the point I rarely get half way thru before it starts to separate- I am talking many months or even years for me to get that far. I am almost done with this bottle and seriously considering it for my wedding. It is a burgundy color (I am not a traditional nail gal) that is gorgeous and you are good to go with just one coat if you choose. I adore this nail polish and I implore everyone to try it.

Lipstick -Aziza - Aziza II Lipstick Desire
rated 4 of 5
newyork00 7/24/2007 12:08:00 AM

Desire comes with a matching nail polish in the package. It is a gorgeous mauve shade that is subtle yet glamorous and looks like you spent much more than the the one dollar you spent to get this. I have never in my life bought makeup for a dollar but the color looked so pretty in the package, and it looks the same on your lips. I love it and am not surprised to see all the good reviews for Aziza.

Very dated, there are so much better fragrances out there that don't smell like the early 90s.
