Lip Gloss -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Lip Tint No 1137
mulove 2/12/2008 10:58:00 AM
One of my favorite Mentha Lip Tint. 1137 is a muted pink nude color that's neutral. It shows up sheer like all Mentha Lip Tint colors show up on your lips that's why they are called "tint" I guess, but I like to layer them. When layered it's a perfect nude pink color and the shine stays on for a long period of time. I buy them when they are on sale as they often do. The packaging is not too bad, but it gets dirty so easily. It must be the matte coating and the color that attracts dirt. I periodically have to wipe them so that they stay somewhat clean and pleasing to my eyes. That's my only complaint about this product. I'd definitely buy this again and again. It moisturizes, adds color and shine to my lips that lasts forever.

Primer/ Corrector -Laura Mercier - Foundation Primer

I was hugely disappointed with this product. I think I was holding my hopes too high. This product did nothing for me except make my face shiny and oily. It's no 'radiant, healthy glow' which LM claims this product will give to your face. I have combination skin and this product is no good. I wouldn't recommend this product to my friends.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
mulove 2/7/2007 2:51:00 PM
This moisturizer is good for those of you who have oily to extremely oily skin. I have a combination skin and this wasn't moisturizing enough for me. It's almost tad bit too dry. I used it for a few weeks and ended up with tiny breakouts. When I stopped using it, they all went away. This moisturizer isn't for me, so my search for the perfect face moisturizer goes on......

Mascara -Maybelline - Full 'N Soft Mascara Waterproof
mulove 1/9/2007 11:00:00 AM
This is an average mascara, nothing too special imo. It's clump-free and natural looking. It does smudge little bit at the at the day, but other than that it's an okay everyday mascara.

Treatments -Advanced Skin Technology - Green Cream by AST
mulove 11/27/2006 10:33:00 PM
I'm one of the few who didn't benefit from this product. I've used it for a year religiously hoping that it would get better, but it never did. I even joined the green cream forum to work it out, but after a year of trying I realized that this product just wasn't for me. I have sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin and the green cream didn't help improve any of my skin issues. I've never stop breaking out and my skin became more sensitive even through moisturizing and applying high sunscreen. Also, it didn't do anything for my blackheads. No skincare benefit everyone and the green cream is no exception.

Mascara -Maybelline - Lash Discovery Mini-Brush Waterproof
mulove 10/18/2006 11:49:00 PM
Another great mascara from Maybelline! The mini-brush is awesome at getting every lash. It holds the curl and adds definition with bit of thickness. Doesn't smudge or flake. It's a definite repurchase!

Powder -Estee Lauder - Double Matte Oil-Control Pressed Powder
mulove 9/25/2006 12:37:00 PM
I purchased this powder a little while ago and kind of forgot about it. Then, one day I rediscovered it just sitting in my makeup drawer. I decided to dig it out and been wearing it for about 2 months now. In the morning, after I put foundation on I run a big powder brush over the powder and dust the entire face. I use Transparent and love it. It doesn't cake up and it's great at setting the makeup and for touch-ups throughout the day. For touch-ups, I just use the powder puff it comes with and it works fine. I wash them often tough. The packaging is kinda bulky. It takes up lots of room in my makeup bag, but other than that I'm pretty happy with this powder. The powder goes for $25 at a department store and I think it's very reasonable for the size and the quality. I'll definitely buy this again.

Lip Treatments -Blistex - Blistex Spa Effects

As other reviewers already have mentioned, this lipbalm is by far THE WORST out there. It smells good and it has SPF 15, but that's about it. Do not waste your money on this. Get Carmex or good old ChapStick.

Mascara -Clinique - Lash Doubling Mascara
mulove 8/5/2006 10:21:00 PM
This mascara was just okay for me. It certainly didn't double my lashes. It did add very subtle volume, but nothing major. I liked the fact that it didn't make my lashes clumpy. It does tend to smudge by end of the day. I've had better, so I won't be repurchasing this again.

Lip Treatments -Carmex - LipBalm

I would have never tried this if it wasn't for all the raves from MUA and I'm so glad I did. The package says $1.39 or something, but major chain stores like Walmart and Target sells it for less than a dollar. It's very moisturizing and it has SPF 15. The packaging is bit ugly with yellow and red coloring and cheap label sticker, but it's the product that counts so no complaints. I normally wear it under my lip gloss for both sun protection and condition/moisturize my lips before I put my lip gloss on top. However, it's great to be worn alone for those fresh bare face days.

Pressed Powders -Cover Girl - Clean
mulove 8/5/2006 9:29:00 PM
This is a good basic pressed powder for everyday use. I have acne-prone/sensitive skin and this hasn't made me brake out. It's fragrance free, so it's a + for sensitive skin. When used with puff, this powder gives me a medium coverage. By the way, the powder puff it comes with is useless. It's very poor quality, so just buy your own like I did. With a better quality powder puff or a brush, the application is more even and flawless. Compact case is not too bulky, so it's easy to carry around for touch-ups during the day. I'd definitely purchase it again and recommend this to anyone who's on a budget and looking for a everyday pressed powder.

Cleansers -Avon - Pore-Fection Cleanser [DISCONTINUED]
mulove 5/14/2006 11:31:00 AM
This is a foaming cleanser in cream form and it comes in a tube. Initially, I liked this cleanser very much, but after using the entire tube my feeling has changed little bit. I have a acne-prone combination to oily skin and I still find this product to be little too drying and harsh for my skin. I think it'll be great for extremely oily skin type. I'm not sure how well this cleanser clean out one's pores, but after I wash my face with this, I do feel 'squeaky clean'. Don't get me wrong, I do like the initial feeling, but after a while it seems to make my t-zone more oily and my cheeks develop dry spots even during the summer months. I probably won't purchase this again, since I'm trying to use skincare that's more gentle for my skin. However, if you have very oily skin you may want to try it out.

Eye Makeup Remover -Rimmel - Gentle Eye Make Up Remover
mulove 5/13/2006 9:36:00 AM
I'm on my second bottle of Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and I'm just about done with this product. It had such a great reviews, so I had to try it. I wear waterproof mascara alot and let me tell you, this DOES NOT work well on taking off waterproof formula. Sometimes it stings my eyes too, leaving them all irritated. I don't know why I even bothered to buy the second bottle. I think it's the cost. It's very cheap and comes in a generous size bottle. I will not repurchase this product.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - ColorJuice Color of Hope
mulove 5/7/2006 1:41:00 PM
Color of Hope is the most wearable warm tone pink ever in my opinion. It's very pretty pink with slight mauve tint. I find that CJs have very inconsistent texture and pigmentation depending which ones you get. Some are nice and some aren't. The plastique smell varies as well. The Color of Hope didn't have any smell and the consistency, texture and pigmentation is just right. Staying powder is better than others. I'm pleased with this CJ and been wearing this alot lately. Like others have said, the round tip applicator tip sucks. Why can't they make it slanted for easier application?!

Blush -L'Oreal - Blush Delice - Front-Page Peach
mulove 4/25/2006 11:33:00 PM
I had such a hard time getting my hands on this blush. After all the raves on the board, I just had to try it. However, I was somewhat disappointed about this blush. The color is not that unique like everyone says it is. When I first put in on my cheeks, my first thought was that it looks exactly like Milani Luminous. Well, at least it does on my cheeks anyway. I think Milani Luminous has tad bit more pink and Front-Page Peach has little more of peach/coral to it. The price is bit steep for drugstore blush, but it comes in a generous-sized compact. This is a LE, but I'm not sorry that it is. For me, this was just an average blush with an average staying power.
