Blush -Bobbi Brown - Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks - Calypso Coral
misz93 10/8/2009 7:12:00 AM
Calypso Coral is a peach-pink-coral cream blush...it gives your cheeks this dewy warm glow that looks so natural..it's definitely foolproof even for a cream blush noob like me..looks bright in the pot but diffuse into a glowy wash of color..=) Pros: gorgeous color, smooth texture, great pigmentation, blends really well & last all day.. Cons: umm, lets see...the price? but honestly i don't mind.. Application: i can either use my fingers or a blush brush but honestly i prefer my fingers than a blush brush just because it blends better & gives the perfect amount of color..just make sure your fingers are clean first before applying.. Packaging: in a round plastic pot with black lid.i store it upside down like i do with all my Bobbi Brown gel liners just so it will always stay moist.. Repurchase: No & just because i have other blushes that i love more than this one but it is a good blush.. Reference: NC35-40. med. skin w/ yellow or golden tones.dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin.
Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - SASA- slanted tip tweezers
misz93 9/30/2009 6:44:00 AM
i love this pair of tweezers..i'm still a beginner in eyebrow grooming & stuff,so when i need a new pair of tweezers,i prefer a d/s one instead of the pricey high end ones. i got it for about RM8 which is equivalent to USD2.30... Pros: the tip is super sharp, made tweezing not painful at all, simple & chic design.darn cheap! Cons: none Repurchase: i would say definitely yes! it does the job very well & can't beat the price! ;)
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - SILKYGIRL Funky Eyelights Pencil
misz93 9/16/2009 3:30:00 AM
this liner reminds me so much of MAC Pearlglide.. Pros: this liner is great because it literally glides on your lids, creamy, stays put,NO smudging & fab pigmentation..also comes in variety of colors..the best part is it's so cheap! =) Cons: nada.. Price: RM14.90 which is equal to US$4.50..damn cheap, right? Repurchase: yep, until the day i die.. Oy,if you got the chance,go & buy these liners! the colors are awesome! how i wish it comes in matte black & shimmery black version..
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - ego QV - Lip Balm SPF 20
misz93 9/12/2009 10:46:00 PM
Recently, i have super dry lips,so i bought this lip balm to try..i like how it feels on the lips,it's like a light textured clear lipgloss,no smell..it has SPF20 too which is good.it made my lips look luscious. but it doesn't really save my super dry lips..when i wear it, by the end of the wear, there are still a few flakies on the lips..it's nice as a clear lip gloss tho..
Blush -MAC - Sheertone Shimmer Blush in X-Rocks (Neo Sci-Fi 2008) [DISCONTINUED]
misz93 9/10/2009 6:08:00 AM
Ah, the famous X-rocks..MUA'ers always rec'd X-rocks for my skintone..it made me very curious to try this as i'm not always satisfied with MAC permanent blushes..when Neo Sci-Fi came out,i didn't really want it,so naturally when it's sold out in the whole country..i suddenly want it.. i'm so glad i swapped for this. it looks scary dark in the pan,a shimmery muddy plummy bronze color that morphs into a sunkissed flush on the cheeks, glowy indeed. it looks natural & flattering on my skin. X-rocks is like a blush+bronzer=blonzer. great blush for summer & fall imo. it's def. a love at first try! Pros: gorgeous color, smooth texture, great pigmentation & good staying power Cons: umm,it's LE? Formula: it's sheertone shimmer..good pigmentation w/ shimmer Packaging: MAC flip top blush case in bright neon orange color, very cute & outstanding,i must say.. Comparison: this is not similar to NARS Lovejoy or Benefit Dallas..those 2 are rose toned while X-rocks is more plummy but both has the bronze tone to it.However, this is similar to MAC Plum du Bois (Cult of Cherry,Fall 08) but X-rocks is smoother textured, more pigmented & has micro fine shimmer than Plum du Bois. Reference: NC35-40.tan skin w/ yellow tones. dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin. Repurchase: yes! the first MAC blush that steal my heart! (since i always prefer NARS blushes than MAC..) i put a pic of my X-rocks up there..the 5th pic.
Eyeliner -Bobbi Brown - Gel Eyeliner Sapphire Shimmer
misz93 9/7/2009 1:30:00 AM
Sapphire Shimmer make my brown eyes POP..lol. when Karla said Sapphire Shimmer is gonna be dc'ed..i rushed to the nearest BB store & bought it..i'm glad i did. i love pairing this with my naked eyes or when i do neutral eyes..it just POP. Pros: gorgeous color, best staying power, nice packaging, can be applied easily, the texture is just creamy & good..smudgeproof for my humid country & waterproof too. i splash my face w/ water & the liner is still there, intact. Cons: i feel that BB shimmery gel liner is not as smooth as the non shimmery ones..for ex. Black Ink is smoother than Sapphire Shimmer Packaging: in a round clear glass with black lid. you get 3g of products in the jar for $21.. Reference: NC35-40.tan skin w/ yellow tones. dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin. Repurchase: yes, only if i can finish with this one..
Wildly Lush is this gorgeous creamy candlelight nude.. if you squint at the tube, you will see the micro-fine gold shimmer as well..very pretty & wearable..it smells nice & very tropical..a mix of coconut & vanilla.i love to pair this with MAC Shy Girl & Brave New Bronze l/s.. Pros: gorgeous color, made lips look luscious, kissable & good staying power,it also feels more comfy than Lipglass on lips.. Cons: oy MAC,no need to be so expensive on this gloss..why is Plushglass more expensive than Lipglass or Lustreglass? Formula: it's a plushglass so it's sheerer than Lipglass, more pigmented than Lustreglass..it tingles a bit but nothing extreme.. Packaging: in the regular clear tube with a matte black gloss lid. doe foot applicator as well. Comparison: this is warmer & more beige-y gold than MAC C-Thru & Be Seen lipglass.. Wildly Lush also doesn't form that gross white ring around the mouth like C-Thru did when worn on lips.. Reference: NC35-40.tan skin w/ yellow tones. dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin. Repurchase: yeah since it's so versatile..
i have swatches of Cherries in The Glow in my profile.. oh,how can i forget to write review in Cherries in The Glow? i'm on my second tube of it now..it's a sheer glossy red color with no shimmer..it made your lips look like you just snog someone lol.. afraid to try a red lippie because it will look garish on you? try this gloss.. Pros: great pigmentation, not sticky like other glosses, good staying power, reasonable price.. a wide arrange of colors to choose from & it has spf15 Cons: umm...none? Packaging: in a square tube with black lid & doe foot applicator..it has a gold band with 'Revlon' written on it too..it looks classy,i must say a la Chanel glossimer.. Reference: NC35-40.tan skin w/ yellow tones. dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin. Repurchase: yes! i wanna try other colors too..
Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Ecolips berry lipbalm spf15
misz93 8/27/2009 4:34:00 AM
meh, did nothing to my lips.. i bought this because it claims to be eco-friendly & MOISTURIZING..my lips was so dry that i bought many lipbalms at once in hope of finding one that is really good. luckily this didnt dry out my lips like Sebamed lipbalm does..smells ok, packaging nothing fancy.. thank god Eucerin lip active & Nivea Hydrocare save my lips..
Lustering is beautiful..it's a sheer but bright watermelon pink color,no shimmer..great for a pop of color on the lips with winged liner & neutral cheeks.. this is a great summer color & very wearable..you can apply it as sheer as you want or layer it up for bolder looks..Lustering is more neutral to cool toned imo but it still flatters my warm toned skin very well..this color always make me feel girly & happy..=) Pros: the application is smooth..much smoother than other Lustre like VGV..maybe because of the shimmer that Lustering doesn't have..nice pigmentation, pretty color, not drying, look good on variety of skintone..from pale to tan. Cons: hmm..maybe staying power could be better.. Formula: it's a Lustre which means sheer but buildable color & glossy.. Packaging: in MAC black bullet type lipstick case Reference: NC35-40.tan skin w/ yellow tones. dark brown eyes & hair. dry & sensitive skin. Repurchase: yes..it's def. a fave of mine! UPDATE: omg, go & pair this lippie with MAC Palatial lustreglass! it's seriously the best hot pink lip combo i've ever tried..it added the perfect dimension to this lippie..
Lip Gloss -Sally Girl - Sally Girl Lip Gloss in Tart
misz93 8/27/2009 1:49:00 AM
i got this l/g as a swap extra..this brand is unavailable in my country so i was excited to try it.. i was a little skeptical with this shade 'Tart'..it's a shimmery bronze color (better suited as an e/s color imo) but it's pretty on the lips. when applied, it's a nude bronze hue on my lips.. looks natural yet noticable.. cute packaging..the formula feels comfy on the lips.. i'll compare this to another d/s gloss, let's say Rimmel vinyl gloss..i prefer Sally Girl as the formula is better, micro shimmer unlike Rimmel which has large chunks of shimmer & so sticky.. overall, nice d/s gloss..=)
Pros: easy to line around the eyes, nice pigmentation, good staying power, it stays on my waterline (woot!) ,cheap, no smudging. =) Cons: quite hard to get a thin line since it's automatic & can't be sharpened (the little butt sharpener at the back is useless) it isn't as soft ,creamy or black as TiGi Bedhead big fat fun pencil.. Price: it's cheap & i usually get it when it's 20% off. Packaging: average black plastic case. you get 0.28 g amount of product. they could have put more product, can't they? Repurchase: yes, i have repurchased a few times before. this liner & TiGi bedhead big fat fun pencil are my fave pencil liners & def. can't beat the staying power of my MAC fluidline or BB Inks...
Pros: this liner is so freakingly smooth,it literally glides on my eyes, verrry good pigmentation, sooo creamy & has a good useful smudger on the back. this is the blackest black i have seen on Earth to be made as liners.. Cons: it kinda melts on my eyes a bit (but not panda eyes) maybe because the formula is soo creamy.. Price: cheaper than MAC Powerpoint pencil. i got this 20% off,so it's a great value! Packaging: bright purple with silver writing, black cap & a smudger on the back. you get quite a lot of product too. i also noticed it melts less when there is eye makeup or base underneath.. it melts on my eyes if i wear this liner on naked eyes..
Lipstick -GOSH - Velvet Touch Lipstick #134 Darling
misz93 8/13/2009 4:47:00 AM
i finally swapped for GOSH Darling after hearing so much rave about it.. it's definitely NOT my HG..it kinda washed me out.. i just dont like the color.. Pros: the formula is awesome, great pigmentation, smooth application & nice staying power too. it feels like MAC Lustre formula lippies but better (in terms of formula).. & i only really like this lippie if apply it on top of Rimmel Addiction lipliner.. Cons: it can made me look like a dehydrated zombie or corpse if i'm not careful applying it.. Packaging: i like the packaging.. it's modern & classy.. =) Repurchase: No, just because it's not my HG & i have other nudes that are tons better than GOSH Darling.. it can look grey-ish on me too.. Reference: NC35-40 w/ yellow tone. dark brown eyes & hair. sensitive & dry skin. UPDATE: Ehh,the color really bothers me. up for the swap it goes.
woww.. i really like this cleanser. a really sweet MUA'er suggested this cleanser to me & i tried it, turned out i really liked this. Pros: cleanse my skin really well, removes my m/u. didn't irritate my sensitive & dry skin.. and if this accidentally goes into my eyes when i'm washing my face,it didn't even hurt.. smells like soap? doesn't have any fancy smell which is fine with me.. the quite big bottle will last me a long time.. Cons: none atm.. Packaging: in a light blue bottle with a pump, the pump is great so that you can't waste the amount of products you want to use. Price: quite okay for a drugstore cleanser but then again you get 200ml with the price. so i guess it's worth it. Repurchase: yep, definitely!
