I have never been so eager to use an eye cream in my life! I love this eye cream- it is SO moisturizing, rich, thick and long-lasting. I am tired of thin eye creams that sink in after 5 minutes. I need a cream to keeps my eyes plumped up overnight... I don't want wrinkles there! This really does the job. Lovely texture too. The label does say it is "ideal for night use" so I don't think people should be complaining that it doesn't suit the daytime. Does not give me milia! The product claims to soften up the skin around the eye area, moisturize it, and reduce wrinkles. I haven't been using it long enough to comment on reducing wrinkles, but it has definitely softened up the skin around my eyes. My eyes also feel far less dry and tired with this cream. The ingredients are only a huge bonus. :) I love Mario Badescu products for this very reason. Ingredients: Vegetable Oil,Deionized Water, Olive Oil,Carnation Oil, Beeswax,Quaternium-60,Isopropyl Myristate, Cocoa Butter,Cetyl Alcohol,Propylparaben,Sodium Benzoate,Imidazolidinyl Urea All of these ingredients are rated incredibly low on the scale of toxicity (cosmeticsdatabase.com). Except for Imidazolidinyl Urea and Propylparaben which are there for anti-viral and anti-bacterial purposes. Be careful not to swallow the product!! ;) Note- Cetyl Alcohol is not the type of alcohol you have to worry about. It is harmless on your skin. It is not really a liquid, but more of a waxy-like solid at room temperature. BTW, I find the packaging not so hygienic. I hate dipping my fingers into skincare products so what I do is use a new cotton bud/swab each time! Yup... I'm a huge germaphobe. FINALLY AN EYE CREAM THAT I LIKE!!! Hope this review helped!
I wanted to love this mask, but I honestly felt like it didn't do anything for my skin. It just felt/smelled/looked great on it. It does leave your skin plump and moisturized afterwards. I can't stand masks that strip your face of moisturize. Sadly I feel like the reason why it is so moisturizing afterwards is because there is a layer of filmy oil left after. You'll have to re-cleanse and tone your face after this. Didn't do anything brightening and didn't help with my blotchy forehead.
Masks -LUSH - Crash Course in Skincare BioFresh Mask [DISCONTINUED]

I liked this mask. It was very moisturizing... I used it for a few weeks and had to sop. Not a fan of the smell unfortunately. Most people seem to like it! I think this is a very basic mask that doesn't really do anything. It just feels good on your skin.
Lotions/ Creams -Nuxe - Reve de Miel Hand & Nail Cream
michybabe 11/2/2009 7:34:00 PM
Wow! This hand cream feels amazing. It really softens up my hands and cuticles. It works great on my nails as well. I wear nailpolish a lot, so after I remove it my nails get all dry and yellow. It smells good too, and it's also non-greasy. This hand cream has helped a lot with it. Too bad I only got a sample, but after I am done with my current Body Shop hand cream, I am DEFINITELY purchasing the full product of this.
Treatments -Nuxe - Creme Nirvanesque (for all skin types)

I love this product! Very moisturizing but not at all greasy. It works very well as both a day and night cream, and the fact that it is also an anti-aging product is a bonus. It actually sinks in quite fast, but even after it gets in there is still a thin layer of the product serving as a moisturizer. I have been using a sample for 4 days/nights and I am DEFINITELY purchasing the full-sized product. I swear by Nuxe. Cleansers -Shiseido - The Skincare Rinse-Off Cleansing Gel
michybabe 11/2/2009 7:09:00 AM
I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW THERE AREN'T MORE PEOPLE RAVING OVER THIS! This is an amazing cleanser. I repeat, AMAZING. Especially for people who suffer from dry skin. Long gone are the days of torturing your skin with foaming cleansers that strip your skin barren. Long gone are the days of oil cleansers that still manage to dry you out. This gel cleanser smells great and leaves my skin super moisturized afterwards! I hate having to always slap on mosturizer after using a cleanser, but with this gel I just take my time... Go on facebook, watch Family Guy and THEN put on my moisturizer. The product is a liquid-gel-like transparent mix. It does not leave any leftover film or grease. It is not harsh at all on your skin. Super gentle and super suitable for combination/sensitive/dry skin. Note: Do not use this product as a makeup remover. It would be ideal to use an oil based makeup remover first, and then use this to clean off the remains and leftover oily film.
Treatments (Eye) -Nuxe - Contour des Yeux Prodigieux
michybabe 11/2/2009 7:00:00 AM
I received a 2ML tester of this eye cream. So far it has lasted me quite a few nights, so a little goes a long way. I have to say I love how this eye cream moisturizes very well without being greasy. It doesn't do anything special though-- no brightening or wrinkle-reducing effects. It's one of the very few eye creams that doesn't irritate the eye area or provoke milia (at least it hasn't on me) Took a lippie off because it just isn't rich enough for an eye cream, in my opinion. Decent as both a day and night eye cream! Overall, I have no complaints! I won't be purchasing because I'm using the Mario Badescu Olive Eye Cream.
Lotions/ Creams -Nuxe - Huile Prodigieuse (Multipurpose dry oil)
michybabe 11/2/2009 6:53:00 AM
I LOVE THIS! I purchased a 100ML sized one after reading the reviews and hearing a friend rave about it. It truly is the best! I use it everywhere- on my hair after a shower, on my cuticles when they get dry, as a hand cream, over my body during the winter... It actually works great for preventing stretch marks too. But I like it best on my face when I sleep. A thin layer of it is enough to moisturize your face for the whole night. No allergic reaction, no clogging of pores, in fact this oil is incredibly light. I like to use it in the morning too. It makes my skin look and feel ultra smooth! My lips are terribly dry this winter and they started bleeding this morning. I put a layer of Huile Prodigieuse over them and they bled no more. So when they say multipurpose, hell yea. This thing works on everything... I am so tempted to try it as a makeup remover, but I wouldn't waste the product like that. :( 4 for packaging because I'd prefer a pump over a spray. A spray isn't so ideal for an oil. Just FYI, I will keep repurchasing this because it's one of the very few products I like that has been rated a 4/10 for its hazard score (10 being most hazardous) - according to cosmeticsdatabase.com I love Nuxe! EDIT: It's been quite a while since I purchased this product. I have to say, I love it even more now. It's 100% paraben free, so I am not afraid to use it as a moisturizer around my chest area. I also have very frizzy and dry hair, and just yesterday I found out that the Huile Prodigieuse does a great job of 24hr de-frizzing. It makes me super happy. I use this oil everywhere on everything... I also tried it as a makeup remover one night. It works just as well as the Shu Uemura oils, minus the lather and moisture-stripping! Of course it'd be a waste to use this for that purpose though.
I got the full product for free, for spending over $300 at Biotherm (which I deeply regret). I find this spray pretty useless, and pointless. It claims to be an "awakening mist" but it doesn't "wake" me up at all. It is too heavily scented, and after a while the artificial smell kind of makes you want to puke. It's a citris, lemony, flowery smell, yet it doesn't smell natural. The biotherm website doesn't list the ingredients to their products. I've found that a lot of their ingredients get incredibly... shady. So this is gonna be one of the products that end up rotting on my shelf.
Oh man, I love this! I got the entire box of it for free from a purchase of Vogue. I, too, cut the film into 4 pieces. I don't use this on my face because I find it way too drying. (That's why I took a lippie off) Instead I use it as an alternative for a hygienic hand-soap! I find soaps that sit there in a puddle of germy water gross. I also don't like wasting my Body Shop shower gels on my hands. So this, is really a miracle. I find that it is something I like to carry when I go out because most public bathrooms here don't have soaps. Love it, so efficient. They should just change the name of the product to "portable soap" - haha! I showed it to my bf and he was like, "Wow, cool!"
I love this product. It is non-irritating and the ingredients are so simple. It isn't drying, and it just feels great to have on my skin. Works great for people with sensitive and dry skin, like myself. I have been fed up with using products with fragrances, so thank you Mario Badescu. Not too expensive either. Love it.
I was kind of skeptical about the hype at first. I thought it'd be no different from any other conditioner, but I was in for a surprise. I have dry and damaged hair. LOTS of split ends. It's really hard to brush my hair too, and I usually don't bother because too much hair drops out. After using this masque for the first time (left it on for 5 mins then washed it off), I was really surprised. My hair felt really smooth, silky, conditioned, moisturized... etc. I couldn't feel any dry roots in my hair anymore. I was sooo happy! After the 2nd treatment, my hair improved drastically, and it has continued to do so. I can't stop touching my hair now! hehe What I like about this over other conditioners is that it moisturizes and softens your hair WITHOUT drying it. This makes my hair feel very rich. I love, maybe HG. I need to try out other masques first before I can say so!
Highlighters -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish in Gold Deposit (Rococo)
michybabe 10/23/2009 5:35:00 AM
I miss this product so much! Initially I found it too orange, so I purchased NARS Laguna bronzer. I regret it. Laguna isn't very pigmented at all... The color is too dark for my skin too. To get the best effect from this highlighter/bronzer/blush, just use a small amount of it! It is VERY pigmented so a little goes a long way. The color is a very nice, glowy, gold shimmer. If overdone, it can look orange - so be gentle. This will last me forever! HG!
I received a few samples of this. Never tried it on my face after noticing that everybody said it clogged their pores... I used it on my hand, and it does remove makeup well, but honestly I think the Shu Uemura oils work a lot better.
Moisturizers -Nuxe - Creme Fraiche de Beaute Suractivee (for normal skin)
michybabe 10/14/2009 12:35:00 PM
Nice, thick and very suitable for the night time. Leaves my skin very dewy and non-blotchy when I wake up! VERY moisturizing and suitable for the winter. Just concerned with the amount of parabens in this product... UPDATE: After finishing the entire tub, I have quite a few things to say about the product. -It is really a basic wintertime moisturizer, it does nothing other than moisturize, it doesn't really make your skin "glowly" because it doesn't contain any gentle exfoliating ingredients -For hygiene purposes, you should dip a new cotton bud into the product to get it out each time. Don't use your fingers, ick! I don't mind the tub, because at least I know I'm not wasting the product. -The product is a bit hard to push around your face, I guess the formula isn't liquid enough, unlike the Creme Fraiche Light -I wish there wasn't fragrance in this product, but I do love the smell. It is a very floral and natural scent that won't irritate you. -I don't like the long list of ingredients at all. This is rated an 8/10 (10 being the highest) on the scale of cosmetics hazards on cosmeticsdatabase.org I won't be repurchasing because I found a better alternative - the Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre!
