Eye Shadow -MAC - Aristocrat (Rococo)
rated 5 of 5

Aristocrat is the hardest color to describe. It's a dirty mauve that has pink and purple tones to it. There is a hint of violet iridecence...I think. It just picks up so many tones, I have a hard time pinning down what the actual color is. It looks great as a blush, too. It's rosier on my cheeks than on my eyes. I LOVE it with Whim.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Little Madame (Rococo)

Beautiful light shimmering pink laced with gold. It makes an excellent, and I mean EXCELLENT, blush as well. Domed top and is a bit soft, but so pretty on the lids or cheeks.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Whim (Rococo)
rated 5 of 5

This shadow is the gem of the collection for a couple reasons. It has an amazing duochrome quality and is a wearable color for those who are challenged by blues and/or purples. I have to be really careful of those tones because of my big bad undereye circles, but I can wear this one for some reason.

Whim is a delightful periwinkle purple with blue iridescence and flashes blue and purple depending on where the light hits your eye and how much you put on and whether you use it wet or dry. It's stunning, really.

This color, also, doesn't seem to crumble in the pot as some of the others do, since these are soft shadows. I totally adore this, domed top and all, and can even use this lightly as a blush to pull my colors together.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Lipglass in Fleur de Light

This lipglass is a slightly more sheer version of Scent Me. The color of the base is the same. The difference is it is more sheer and it has silver sparkles in it, giving it a "whiter" type of sheer look.

Lipstick -MAC - Courtly
rated 4 of 5
meToo 7/24/2004 2:06:00 PM

Mac Courtly is a Lustre lipstick and has a decorative silver overspray on the outside. The lipstick itself is a medium depth rosey toned pink that is a light pink, while also being a bright pink on my lightly pigmented lips.

It's being compared to Bunny Pink, but it's very different on me. Bunny Pink is more of a milky light pink with yellow tones. Courtly, by comparison, would be a redder and a bluer pink than Bunny Pink and is a bit brighter. Colorwise, I totally prefer Courtly.

And, colorwise, it reminds me more of the color of Bombshell in a lustre formula, but without the gold. The basic pink color is close to Bombshell.

Limited Edition, (of course), from the Rococo Collection.

Berry red with shimmer. The exact same color as Mac New York Apple with a slightly fuller coverage. If you have New York Apple, you don't need both.

Lipstick -Chanel - Levres Impression de Chanel - Ink Palette
rated 4 of 5
meToo 7/21/2004 8:26:00 PM

2nd favorite of these palettes. I adore the pink in this palette. Just the right hint of peach and the right hint of shimmer. Also a plummy color in a rosey-plum shade and a deeper purpley plum. As a rule, I usually don't like dark purple plums, but this one has enough violet pink tone that it works for me.

Cheesy review, but I am out of time and will go into depth later.

Palettes -Chanel - Levres Impression de Chanel - Tint Palette
rated 5 of 5
meToo 7/21/2004 8:10:00 PM

When I tested the lightest color in this palette, I was sold and had to have it. It is a very light peachy golden champagne color. It has a very subtle pink shimmer which keeps it from being a flat color.

The middle stripe in the three sponge palette is a bronzey brown with a hint of red shimmer, which again, isn't an overt color, but gives depth and keeps it from being flat.

The third color is a tawny rose shade of medium depth. Any of the three of these colors can be used seperately or mixed together. Creamy to apply and wear.

Lipstick -Chanel - Levres Impression de Chanel Lipstick Palettes - general

The first thing to know are that these are a pricey product at $45 a palette. However, you do get three lip colors, which is a savings of about $23 if they last as long as three full sized Chanel lipsticks. Since they are brand new, I have no way to know if these will last that long, so we'll see, in the long run, how the value is.

I honestly thought I could not fall into the trap of this new product, but once I saw them and tried them, I had to have them. These really are a nifty product.

There are colors for everyone somewhere within the color schemes. Each palette has three colors, having both lights and darks that can be mixed together for your own preference. The colors are smooth and creamy in application and due to the gel-type of formula in the sponge pad, can be applied as lightly or layered as darkly as individual desires dictate. The compact has a mirrored lid, also. You can add gloss atop the colors for a shinier look, if you wish. There are a variety of finishes, also, from lightly frosted to shiney.

I urge everyone to check these out in person, if at all possible, because they really are neat. And best of all, there is NO perfume to these colors at all.

For ease of finding reviews, I am listing these in both the palette and lipstick divisions so that everyone who searches for a review can find it.

Palettes -Chanel - Levres Impression de Chanel - Print Palette
rated 3 of 5

I honestly don't know whether people will search for these under lipstick or under palette. And if it were up to me, it would be listed simply as Print Lip palette, but what can ya do?

This palette contains a medium slightly warm toned pink, a red that goes a bit too pink on me, and a creamy light peach. $45 with the same sponge tip applicator as the others, but I prefer a lip brush. The colors can be mixed or layered and feel super soft in application.

Personally, this is my least favorite of the palettes because the red looked so perfect in the store and so pink at home. The peach is far too pale to do me very much good at all. Both pink and peach have a slight shimmer which keeps them from looking flat, but is by no means, a frosted look.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Ombre D'Eau Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow - #40 - Source
rated 3 of 5
meToo 7/21/2004 6:42:00 PM

This is a pink toned champagne color. Most champagne colors you'll find are beige or golden toned. This one is pink toned, where you could almost call it a baby pink, except that it's more beige than that. So, definite pink-champagne. Very light. Very frosty.

I had a problem with an allergic reaction to this color and had to return the product. It wasn't too disappointing since the color didn't really show up much on me. It was kind of too normal and boring to be worth $30 anyway, in my opinion. It would make a good highlight color, but didn't really show on me as a lid color.

Seems to be a good all purpose eyeshadow color that wears extremely well once applied. It has a cooling feel when you apply it that continues a little after the product is dried as well. This product dries fairly quickly with no creasing to the eyelid. There is enough time to smooth and place with a fingertip or brush if you wish to, or you can just wipe it on with the sponge tip applicator. Be sure to shake well before applying.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Ombre D'Eau Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow - #60 - Sand
rated 5 of 5

Sand and Glacier are my favorite of the colors so far. Sand is a medium depth taupey brown color. It looks nice for a wet type of look, without being wet. A gorgeous shimmering medium taupey brown.

I need to update that I have some kind of allergy to this product and while I totally think it rocks, I can't wear it. I'm so sad.

Eye Shadow -Chanel - Ombre D'Eau Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow - #50 - Bay
rated 4 of 5
meToo 7/21/2004 6:34:00 PM

Bay is a peach with golden shimmer. It looks just like Mac's Melon pigment...with slight variations. On me, Melon pigment goes on very gold and all you can really see is the gold. On my niece, Melon stays true to it's color and is a shimmering peach with shimmering gold.

Bay, on my lids shows as shimmering peach with shimmering gold, a true reflection of the color of melon pigment on my niece. :)
