Lip Treatments -Nivea - Lip Care - Repair
rated 5 of 5

AMAZING PRODUCT! I cannot stress this enough. The weather here is currently humid so insufficient hydration would result in dry chapped lips for me. I bought this out of desperation due to rave reviews here and elsewhere. Have used it for only two-three days and it's seriously amazing. The chapped-ness is gone. My lips are smooth and soft. Wow. Nivea seriously works wonders. Thank you, Nivea! The smell is also amazing. Nothing too sickeningly sweet or heady. Just a light vanilla-esque scent. Update: I've been using this for three years and it has never let me down, not even once. Dry lips from lack of water? A coat of this and it will be better in a few hours. Chapped lips from the weather? Consistently use this and your lips will be better than ever. Not to mention how soft your lips will feel after. Update #2: They changed the packaging over here, if I'm not mistaken. It's now called Treatment with SPF 15. I was unsure at first but after opening it and catching the familiar vanilla scent, I became certain that it's the same one.

Shampoo -L'Oreal - ColorVive Shampoo
rated 5 of 5

I used this and then made the mistake of using a baby shampoo which washed off some dye off my hair. Thank god this shampoo brought the colour back. Don't have any scalp problems so even using the shampoo alone, my hair feels soft and smooth. Edit: I tried out Herbal Essences after this ran out. I hated it. It totally dried out my hair and I was dying to finish it. Went back to this and my hair feels revived! While HE didn't do much to my hair, this revived the vibrance of my highlights. Loves it.

Toners -Pro Activ - Revitalizing Toner
rated 5 of 5

This is, hands down, the best toner I've ever used. I loved seeing the dirty skin on my cotton pad when I'm done swiping the toner all over my face. Again though, it shouldn't be so expensive.

I really liked this product. Feels really good scrubbing your skin off and paired with the toner, it's almost godsent. Wish it was so crazily expensive though.

Powder -Everyday Minerals - foundation semi-matte formula
rated 4 of 5
mayanii 7/25/2008 9:51:00 AM

I'm so absent-minded; I kept buying my samples in semi-matte but this only provides sheer to semi-medium coverage. I have freckles on my cheeks and the semi-matte formula doesn't cover them. Good thing is though, it does control oil as it says. But I'm going to try the Intensive and see if I get results.

Lipstick -Cover Girl - TruShine - Nude Shine 470 [DISCONTINUED]

HG FOR ME! =) This is the perfect YLBB shade that I've been searching for. Since my lips are pretty pigmented as it is, it merely tones it down and gives me that glossy nude colour. Awesome, awesome product.

Misc Beauty Tools -Everyday Minerals - Blotting Paper [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

I don't know why so many people dislike this. I love it! I've used Clean and Clear blotting paper and, boy, were they horrible! The best thing about EDM's blotting paper is that it's firm and of a good size. C&C's are too small for my taste and it's so flimsy. Plus, the oils can be transferred to my hands when I touch the paper after using it. No thanks. I don't find that problem with EDM. And sure, EDM's may not completely absorb all the oil but isn't your face supposed to be not so dry?

Shampoo -Johnson & Johnson - Easy Detangling Shampoo
rated 5 of 5
mayanii 7/14/2008 2:50:00 PM

I know I'm supposed to have outgrown this, lol, but I bought it today just because I needed a brush cleanser. Then I decided to use it for my hair. It foams horribly, which is to say none at all, but it definitely makes up for it by giving me bouncy and nice-smelling hair. I won't use this everyday but it definitely is a refreshing change from the usual shampoo I use.

Cleansers -MAC - Cleanse Off Oil
rated 4 of 5
mayanii 7/14/2008 2:45:00 PM

This is the ONLY MAC product that I think I will like for the rest of my lifetime. I didn't really know how awesome this was because I'd only been using it to remove my concealer so it doesn't really show much of a difference. But today, I wore full-face makeup and decided to test its power. With dry hands, I pumped the oil onto my face and worked on my cheeks, forehead, nose and chin, leaving my eyes to be done later. Then I peered into the mirror and, oh my gosh! The foundation, everything, just disappeared! I was completely blown away. My face was bare! I worked on my eyes next. Now these needed a bit more oil because I was wearing mascara and eyeliner and those smudge like crazy especially at your undereye area. But it was all completely washed out! No panda eyes. I was overjoyed. I don't know how much this cost because my aunt got it for me but since everything US is always overpriced here, I'm guessing this one was too. ETA: I did a test today. I swatched a generous amount of liquid foundation on the underside of my arm. Rubbed it in till it was an even layer. Then I removed it with my L'Oreal Gentle Cleansing Milk. Results were quite bad. The smell of the foundation was still there plus it felt thicker. Odd. So I used the MAC Cleanse Off Oil and voila! The foundation disappeared and my arm feels smooth.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - Long handled Kabuki
rated 5 of 5
mayanii 7/14/2008 2:09:00 PM

This is my favorite brush to use to buff in concealer. It's soft and it gets the job done! Which means it's good coverage-wise but I'd prefer the flat top for my foundation.

Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - New Flat Top Brush
rated 5 of 5

I'm here to jump on the love bandwagon! =)) Got my LHK and the flat top today after a week plus of waiting. I immediately ran it up my arm and it was really as soft as many have described it! Even my brother said it felt like a baby's bottom. Coverage-wise, this does a pretty great job. I was so reluctant to stop buffing because the bristles felt like heaven against my skin, lol.

Polishes -Milani - Tres Jolie
rated 5 of 5
mayanii 7/10/2008 7:31:00 AM

I bought this nail polish off eBay for about less than $10 and at first I didn't really like it because it was somewhat shimmery, for one. I expected something more opalescent pink. It doesn't bother me though. =) Good for subtle nude nails.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Simple - Hydrating Light Moisturiser
rated 3 of 5
mayanii 7/2/2008 4:45:00 AM

I wanted to like this product. Actually, I liked it the first few tries. Now, not so much. The moisturiser lives up to its reputation of being perfume-free, oil-free, etc, but it's unfortunately not shine-free. For those with normal skin, this moisturiser would be godsent. For those with oily or combo skin, sorry, this is not for you. The packaging is another thing I dislike. I prefer pump bottles to those you need to squeeze because it's much easier to control the amount of product you dispense. Another thing, if you apply too much, your face will be more likely to turn shiny after sometime. Overall, it's good, but if you have oily or combo skin, try the shine-free version.

Cleansers -Fancl - Washing Powder

My skin felt tight and dry after a few minutes of using this. Not a good sign. Though I like how it felt moisturizing on my face. Good thing it was a trial size.

Lips -MAC - Glitz Gloss - Embellish
rated 2 of 5

Should've listened to my brains when it screamed at me not to try it. It already looked like Glitter Wonderland. Results were worse. All glitter, no pigment. Good thing I didn't buy it.
