Polishes -L'Oreal - Color riche 610 blue rebel
rated 4 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/26/2012 4:27:00 AM

Rebel blue is a warm light true blue with a bit of shimmer to it. Goes on easily and one coat gives good coverage. With base (OPI start to finish formaldehyde free) and top coat (Seche vite) the colour lasted a week. This size of packaging of this line is small, 5 ml. I will not repurchase this particular colour as it is more of a seasonal colour, however other colurs may find their way into my stash...

Pros: Easy to use, heats up very quickly, flexibility that you can turn on/off the iron on the actual iron, long cord, styles quickly, comes with possibility for differents electrical plugs (In EU). Cons: VERY expensive, standard verion does not come with a storing pouch. It is really well worth the money though and I would happily re-purchase :-)

Polishes -OPI - Hawaiian Orchid

This is my favourite colour for french manicure. It is a pink with a bit of an edge to it which makes it more interesting. It has a bit of shimmer which looks a bit cooler, however it works surprisingly well with my warn skin tone.

Polishes -OPI - Tutti Frutti Tonga

I general I like OPI polishes. This particular shade looked so nice in the bottle however turned out so boring to my skin colouring (fair/medium, warm undertones - I think this shade will look great on darker skin tones though). Slightly better when I added white tips however not a keeper - swap anyone?

Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Daily Smoothing Treatment with 5% AHA
rated 5 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/24/2012 1:16:00 PM

I bought this as part of a complete set of the RESIST line (cleanser, toner, serum, daily exfoliator, weekly exfoliator, moisturizer w sunscreen and moisturizer w/o sunscreen). I have used the products from this set approximately half a year and noticed great improvements in my skin tone, texture and radiance. This exfoliator is so gentle and has such a nice scent. The pump delivers just the right amount of product.

Cleansers -Paula's Choice - RESIST- Optimal Results Hydrating Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/24/2012 1:13:00 PM

I bought this as part of a complete set of the RESIST line (cleanser, toner, serum, daily exfoliator, weekly exfoliator, moisturizer w sunscreen and moisturizer w/o sunscreen). I have used the products from this set approximately half a year and noticed great improvements in my skin tone, texture and radiance. This cleanser is so comfortable on your skin and removes heavy make-up, including eye makeup. I am really, really happy with it. It is quite pricey and for that reason I will try one of the other cleansers from the same brand to see if they are equally good at a lower price ;-)

Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - RESIST Barrier Repair Moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/24/2012 1:11:00 PM

I bought this as part of a complete set of the RESIST line (cleanser, toner, serum, daily exfoliator, weekly exfoliator, moisturizer w sunscreen and moisturizer w/o sunscreen). I have used the products from this set approximately half a year and noticed great improvements in my skin tone, texture and radiance. This moisturizer is really lightweight. Those who are looking for something that feels very emollient on the skin might be disappointed. I really like the texture and the result. The packaging could be VASTLY improved. The pump broke when I started using the product. This was quickly replaced by customer service though. Another thing is that the packaging in comparison to the weight of the product is so much heavier it is difficult to know when you are about to run out especially since the packaging is not see through in order to protect the ingredients in the product.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment
rated 5 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/24/2012 1:04:00 PM

I bought this as part of a complete set of the RESIST line (cleanser, toner, serum, daily exfoliator, weekly exfoliator, moisturizer w sunscreen and moisturizer w/o sunscreen). I have used the products from this set approximately half a year. This exfoliator leaves my skin super soft and since I started using products from this set I have noticed an improvement in my skin texture, tone and radiance. I use it once a week. Even though the concentrations of AHA is 10% there is no sting (I do not have sensitive skin). Packaging could be improved. It is a straight forward screw off top, I would prefer pump dosing.

Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - RESIST Cellular Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 25
rated 3 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/24/2012 1:00:00 PM

I bought this as part of a complete set of the RESIST line (cleanser, toner, serum, daily exfoliator, weekly exfoliator, moisturizer w sunscreen and moisturizer w/o sunscreen). I have used the products from this set approximately half a year. I will not repurchase this moisturizer as I find that the titanium dioxide interferes with my foundation (also when I have used the moisturizer sparingly). Also, I find the formulation a bit on the heavy side.

Toners -Paula's Choice - RESIST Advanced Replenishing Toner Skin Remodeling Complex
rated 5 of 5

I bought this as part of a complete set of the RESIST line (cleanser, toner, serum, daily exfoliator, weekly exfoliator, moisturizer w sunscreen and moisturizer w/o sunscreen). I have used the products from this package approximatelt half a year. This toner is so fantastically moisturizing and comfortable on your skin! I have never really understood what benefits you get from a toner until I tried this one. It feels almost as if you would have applied a very light lotion on your face. This is a keeper!

Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum
rated 3 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/24/2012 12:53:00 PM

I am on the fence regarding this product. The reason is the consistency of the product. As others have written it contains a lot of silicones, and I prefer if a serum has the feel of sinking into the skin when you apply it rather than the slip you get with silicones. I bought this as part of a complete set of the RESIST line (cleanser, toner, serum, daily exfoliator, weekly exfoliator, moisturizer w sunscreen and moisturizer w/o sunscreen). Having said that I have noticed such an improvement in skin condition since I started using her products about 6 months ago, and others have noticed as well and complimented me on how healthy I look. Since I use the whole line it is difficult to say which elements that are the key to the change. When I run out of the serum I will see what happens without it :-) - wish there was a "maybe" in the repurchase comment...

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
rated 4 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/20/2012 4:49:00 AM

In general it is quite scary what kind of solvents nail polishes contains. Seche Vite contains toluene which may be the reason it dries so quickly. If you work with solvents you would typically work in a ventilated hood minimiszing exposure as they are very dangerous for your health. Anyway, I guess that the small exposure you get from this polish is within the safe zone and this product is GREAT. The toluene is the reason I have given it a 4 rather than a 5. I was a bit unlucky that my bottle has got a bit of cast-off with small, small black particles, but this will not stop me from buying it again.

Polishes -Essie - Cute As A Button
rated 5 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/20/2012 4:39:00 AM

This is really a lovely pick-me up colour! Warm, clear pinkish coral, very strong colour. Goes very well with my warm skin tone. Great for spring/summer. With OPI Start-to-finish as base coat, 2 coats of polish and Seche Vite top coat the manicure lasted a week without chipping and without being especially careful.

Highlighters -TheBalm - Mary-Lou Manizer
rated 5 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/19/2012 3:25:00 AM

This highlighter is great! It is more fleshcoloured than e.g. Albatross by NARS and much warmer than Luxor the multiple by NARS. Very easy to apply and get a natural result (even with maturing skin). Round, snap close packaging with mirror. Very happy with it!

Palettes -TheBalm - Balmbini
rated 4 of 5
mariannepilgaard 4/19/2012 3:12:00 AM

The other reviews describes this palette in detail so I will add only a few very personal notes - which may be useful if you have colouring similar to mine. The lip products have a coconut scent, so if you are sensitive of that - beware. The lipstick in colour "Wanted" is very, very sheer and I would rather describe it as a very goopy lipgloss. The taupe eyeshadow works well on my warm colouring. The blushes are GREAT and the luminizer is FANTASTIC (I have this on its own as well). I use this palette in my handbag as it is almost "all in one" so to speak). I will probably not buy again though as I need less stuff in my handbag :-)....
