Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Mariah Carey - Luscious Pink

To me this seems to be a very simplistic sweet floral with not great lasting power. It opens slightly sweet and marshmallowy with indistinguishable floral notes - pretty enough, but when it dries down is where I'm taking lippies off..... It just gets slightly tart smelling on me, and although it's not dreadful, it's not a pleasure to smell it. I think the bottle is really gorgeous (love that butterfly!!), but it won't be a repurchase for me.
Pity this fragrance has such bad reviews, as I actually quite like it. It's a very aquatic-fruity-floral with a hint of sandalwood in the dry down. It is very watery, but it actually reminds me a little of my beloved Eau de Eden which is near impossible to come by these days. Not a perfect match, but a close relative to my nose. I think the bottle and the colour of the bottle is gorgeous and overall just a lovely, breezy smelling summer fragrance that is perfect for hot weather.
Hmmm, this is quite a pretty fragrance but nothing remarkable. It kinds of reminds me of Lolita Lempicka with a little less personality.....it seems to be of a vaguely similar composition, with less anise and vanilla and more floral notes. I think it is more worthy of a 3.5, but have given it 4 lippies rather than 3 because it really is quite pretty (and sweet), but I do rather like the nice softly sweet scent it leaves on my clothes. Wouldn't bother to repurchase however, as there are better fragrances in this "family."
Wow, I"m surprised by all the bad reviews on this one, as I absolutely LOVE it!! It's very sexy and definitely a night/party fragrance. I get lots of spicy berries with an incense-y kind of scent - it's pure seduction in a bottle in my opinion!! The lasting power could be a little better, but it's not too bad. This is leaps and bounds better than the other Be Delicious fragrances in the range, which are pretty generic and a little on the bland side. This is anything but bland (perhaps why it's such a love/hate fragrance) and like someone else has mentioned, would take the little black dress to a whole new level. Very sophisticated, sexy and seductive! Love it!!
This is very very similar to the original Nina in the red bottle. The only differences that I can pick is that Pretty Nina is slightly lighter with a little more fruit and I can also pick the rose petal notes. Apart from that I get the toffee apple smell which I absolutely adore. Pretty Nina is perhaps not quite as long lasting as the original. I would have given this a 4.5 if I could, as although I love it, I don't think it's as good as the original and not quite as long lasting. Gorgeous gorgeous bottle that is too adorable for words :-) Lovely fragrance, but only if you're into sweet scents.
Quite a pretty and light floral fragrance that borders on being on the generic side and is not overly unique. It's very floral and although I have read the fragrance notes, I can't distinguish any of them on me individually - it just smells like a mixed bouquet of flowers that you put your face in and smell them all together. It's pretty and would be ideal for a girl's first fragrance as it's pretty and inoffensive. However for me, it lacks personality as I like something with a bit more substance. Lasting power is not fantastic, although the bottle is very cute. I much prefer the original Princess to this one.
I just love this fragrance! It's warm and sensual and has great lasting power. I get a spicy, floral, vanilla scent although I wouldn't say it was overly floral.....more of just a hint really. I perhaps get the freesia and a hint of rose, but the spicy notes are more pronounced on me, as is the vanilla base. It does have a sweetness to it, so it is a bit gourmand. I hate the bottle though.....ugly and awkward to use.
What an elegant and mature fragrance this is. When I say mature, I am not suggesting it's for "old" people, but ones that appreciate a more mature scent than the light fruity florals. I think this fragrance is very sensual, but in a very classy way. I've seen it classed as a woody oriental and that pretty much sums it up in my opinion. I get a very woody, spicy musk fragrance that has excellent lasting power. In saying that though, I don't find it at all overpowering (although could be if you overuse!). I find this in the same league as Chanel fragrances, which to me just scream classy and expensive and really exudes feminine strength and confidence. This is also one fragrance that I don't think I could ever get bored of. I never have a 'signature' fragrance, mainly because I get too used to the smell and then tend to overdo it because I can't smell it anymore......but if I was to ever have one, Prada would be way up there in my choices as it's just so beautiful!
Fragrances -Lancaster - Covet Pure Bloom Sarah Jessica Parker

This is absolutely nothing like the original Covet at all and in my opinion is probably more mainstream. However, having said that I really like it. I must admit to not being completely sold on it at first, but it's really grown on me....it seemed like a very 'loud' floral, which now that I like it more I have decided that it's more of an 'exotic' floral. So apart from the 'exotic' flowers, which are the tuberose and most likely the pikake (having never actually smelled one I can only presume), I get a very light and airy coconut hint to it, with a light musk drydown. Perhaps the other thing that has made me come around with this fragrance is that I often get compliments on it when I'm wearing it.....and never just "you smell nice", but a real "wow, that smells absolutely beautiful!!" I don't have an issue with the lasting power - it lasts quite well on me and the bottle is beautiful, both in shape and colour. I still prefer Covet over this one though, as it's a little more unique.
Even though this isn't the most original fragrance, I found myself giving it 5 lippies anyway! The fragrance itself is lovely.....fresh, young and quite evocative of innocence. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous.....it's the cutest one I own hands down. The clincher and why I think it's deserving of 5 lippies is that for me, this fragrance fires the imagination and paints a picture. When a fragrance can take me away to another place entirely, it's a complete winner in my book. Daisy takes me away to a green meadow full of dandelions with the sun on my face and gives an impression of peace, warmth and simplicity. As for the actual fragrance notes....in all honesty I find them a little difficult to distinguish on an individual basis. I get some very light florals with a light musk and woods. Beautiful fragrance, beautiful bottle and beautiful imagery.
When this first came out I read all the reviews on here where it seemed that more people disliked this fragrance than liked it, so I didn't even bother going out to try it. Then some months back, I ordered a fragrance online and was sent some fragrance cards along with my purchase, one of which was L. Well!!! I couldn't stop sniffing it - it smelt fantastic!! So then I went out and tried it on myself (loved it) and ended up buying it on ebay at a great price. I'll be the first to admit that to me it smells like a pear fragranced shampoo.....but I just love it! It smells fresh and clean, but not in the same way as say Ralph Lauren Blue......but in a shampoo kind of way. I can see why it wouldn't be to everyone's liking, as it is not overly 'sophistocated' but it certainly does have an appeal all of it's own in my opinion. I find the lasting power is really good and it's a great summer fragrance! Love it!!
Gorgeous sensual fragrance that is in the same vein as Deep Red, but far better, in my opinion. I get vanilla, amber and woods on me. It's almost bordering on being somewhat masculine, but in a very appealing way. Bottle is so/so and nothing special, but the fragrance is fantastic. I would give it a 4.5 if I could, however hasn't hit the 5 lippie mark for me as although I like it, I don't find it outstanding. It is also in the same vein as Hypnotic Poison - but that to me is more outstanding than Intense and therefore more worthy of a 5.
If you love gardenia, then this is your scent! It's a very beautifully done gardenia too, as some just smell so fake and like chemicals. This fragrance is classy, elegant and something you could imagine wearing to a garden party or somewhere semi formal in spring. I don't smell many other notes on me (maybe perhaps the cedar ever so slightly)....it's really full on gardenia. The lasting power is excellent and a couple of sprays will see you through the entire day.
Kenzo Jungle (with the elephant lid) is fantastic. Absolutely love the spicy, slightly fruity scent. Although this has some fruit in it, it's overpowered by the spices so is not a fragrance that should be automatically dismissed as just another fruity concoction. To me, it smells very exotic on and perhaps more suited to cooler weather and evening. And the lasting power is amazing!! Fragrance notes are: top notes of mandarin, cardamon, cumin, clove. Heart notes of heliotrope, ylang-ylang, mango juice, licorice. Base notes of vanilla, patchouli, amber and cashmeran. I don't get the licorice or patchouli notes at all on me, so if you're not a fan of these notes, you never know, you may still like this!
Hmmm, well to start with, I would give this fragrance a 3.5 if I could as it's quite nice but just lacks a bit of personality in my opinion. I'm sure others have listed the fragrance notes, so I won't but I get blackcurrent, a hint of orange and spicy vanilla on me, which is certainly a lovely combination and very enjoyable. The problem with this fragrance for me is that initially it's really quite strong and spraying too much is just overwhelming. However, I find this fades very quickly down to pretty much nothing at all. I don't usually have a problem with fragrances not lasting, but this one fades to nothing in just a few hours - not great for an EDP. I have seen this likened to Hypnotic Poison which I find insulting!! Hypnotic Poison is FAR superior to this. It's definitely a fragrance for warmer weather or evening, however I don't find it sexy enough for anything too special. If you're just being initiated into perfumes this is kind of a 'safe' sexy fragrance......then again, maybe it just doesn't fit my personality! Nice, but a little on the safe side to me....it's definitely not ground breaking. Boss Intense is better than this....
