My skin isin NC20 combination skin. My natural lip color is pink with a blue undertone. I got 2 of these lipsticks - unending kiss and blazing sangria. Both colors are nicely pigmented and very easy to apply and wear. Long-lasting lipsticks have let me down in the past because I find them to be too drying and uncomfortable to wear, but L'Oreal really did a good job with these. I work very long hours at night and I've put this lipstick to the test when it comes to how long it lasts. Of course I had to re-apply it during my work shift but then again I am constantly drinking something or snacking during my 12 hr. shift. Contrary to other long-lasting lippies I've tried, this one does not fade away leaving a trail of unsightly blotches of color around my lip line. It fades away gentle, leaving my lips with only a hint of color. The only thing I don't like about this lippie is the packaging. It looks gimmicky and not very pretty, but the lipstick delivers well for my taste :)
My skin isin NC20 combination skin. My natural lip color is pink with a blue undertone. I like all sorts of shades for lipisticks including nudes and this one is a keeper for me. It does look like Soft Nude on the tube but once swatched they are different shades of nude. I went with this one because it has less peach than the Soft Nude. This lipstick is perfect for when I wear stronger eyeshadows and for neutral looks. It applies well, it feels very light and moisturizing and yet it delivers a nice amount of color to be noticed. I should have bought 2 tubes of this lippie because I am wearing my first one a LOT and I'm afraid I won't find it again anytime soon. Most nudes make me look dead...not this one!
Although I like this pencil I would not buy it again. The best way to use this product is to wear it under an eyeshadow, and over an eyeshadow primer otherwise it creases like crazy, no joke. This pencil is not good to use on it's own even if you are going for a goth look because it WILL crease and bleed all over your eyeballs. You have to "set" it with a black shadow, or whatever shadow you wish to use. I saw a girl using it on youtube and it looked so pretty, but then when I tried it at home it was....well, a disaster. I'm keeping mine only because I like to do a dark eye once in a blue moon.
"Grape" is my shade. I loved this eyeliner from day one, and I have been buying CLinique's Quickliner for Eyes every since then which is (roughly) for 6 years! I've had these liners in almost every shade. They do not need sharpening and they do have a smudge tip at the opposing end of the pencil. QUickliners are second only to Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliners for me. I'll be buying this product for as long as Clinique makes them :)
I absolutelly love this eyeliner! It glides on so easily and the staying power is incredible. This baby lasts all night long while I'm at work (I work 12 hr. shifts) and it doesn't "bleed" all over my face. All the eyeliners I have used prior to this have left me with racoon eyes after a few hours. I wish it wasn't as expensive as they are thou, and that's the only reason it gets only 4 lippies according to MUAs rating system (and mine as well).
My shade is in "perfect nude". This lipliner looses one little point only because of the price. It's now the most expensive out there but it's prety hefty in price in comparison to Clinique lipliners. This is one of my holy grails of lip liners because the shade of nude matches my natural lip color very well. It is also very soft and it can be worn as a lipstick with some gloss over it. It sharpens well without falling apart. According to my own rating system it gets 5 lippies :)
Lip Liners -Revlon - Timeliner for Lips(Any Shade)

I have 2 shades of Revlon's Timeliner for lips, one in "plumwine" and the other in "blackberry". Both are bold and beautiful colors. These lipliners apply well, not too soft nor too dry. These liners can be even used as lipsticks. These pencils need to be sharpened but they don't fall apart once you sharpen them. There is no "dragging" with these lipliners. Timeliner for lips is as good as high end lipliners out there for a fraction of the price. According to my own rating system it gets 5 lippies:)
I decided to buy Clinique Even Better liquid foundation after trying a sample. My shade is in "creamwhip" which is a perfect shade for my skintone. This foundation goes on smooth (a little goes a long way), it corrects my redness around my chin, and corrects uneven skin on my cheekbones. There is no greasy feeling (it's oil-free) and it feels very light on my skin even thou it is a medium coverage foundation. Even Better also lasted very well for 12 hours (my usual work hours). This is not a cheap product but it is not outrageouslly expensive either. It's affordable to my blue collar. The bottle is perfect, made of plastic so it isn't heavy, and it has a "drop" tip which is more sanitary and I don't end up with a mess around the lid. I will purchase this foundation again and again for sure. My review doesn't give it 5 lippies because I rated the price at a 3 since it isn't dirt cheap. But according to my own rating system this foundation gets 5 lippies:)
My shade is in Creamwhip 14. My skin is combination/oily. This foundation blends perfectly with my skin, leaves me with a semi-matte finish, it's easy to apply with my fingers, medium coverage, evens out my redness when it occurs, and it lasts well into my 12 hour work shifts. If you want to see how well it blends & corrects visit "makeupinmy40s" on YouTube. 2 thumbs up for this foundation!
This blush is such a novelty at the moment. There is a lot of hype about it, chiefly because it is so adorable in the packaging and it smells delish. It is cheap but not dirt cheap ($10 or so). Packaging is nice but not superb. Mine is in "rose" which is nicely pigmented and gives me a nice medium pink glow to my cheeks. Yes maybe I would buy this again if they come out in different colors. Not to shabby for a drugstore product. No regrets.
Although this product gets high praise from youtube makeup gurus, I was let down by it and here is why : It is a very DRY concealer. It doesn't spread as easily as people make it seem on you tube videos. YES it does cover blemishes well but it dries on the skin leaving an unsightly spot on the face. I had to use a hair dryer to soften it in order to use it. This is a heavy concealer and it cost around $28 at Sephora. NOT cheap and it does not deliver to the hype. I regret buying it.
Makeup Brushes -Ecotools - Bamboo 6 Piece Brush Set

Ecotools brushes are the best drugstore brushes in my opinion. They are super inexpensive, very affordable for those of us on a budget and they work extremely well. They are easy to wash and don't fall apart on you. The travel size set is perfect for smaller hands and easy to pack in your purse. Ecotools brushes are a staple in my makeup case. No regrets!!!!!!!
This brush is simply amazing. It works well for face powder, blush, and cream blushes. It is easy to wash and the price my friends....$3 is a steal!!!! There is no need to buy a brush that cost twice the amount of money I make per hour just because it is from a HE brand. This brush is great and affordable to anyone. No regrets!
This is my holy grail fast dry top coat. Nothing else compares to it. I must have at least 4 bottles of it at my manicure station. I've tested it against Posche fast dry topcoat and Seche Vite dries much faster without leaving a "sticky" feeling to my newly polished nails. SV does get goopy as you use it up, but regular nail polish thinner (found at Sally's) works on it beautifully without affecting it's effectiveness. As you use up SV it builds a "crusty" layer around the neck of the bottle, but all you have to do is to scrape it off gently before using it. SV works better on WET nail polish. It does not work properly as a refresher top coat. I use 2 to 3 layers of SV over my polish to make my manicures last longer.
I ALWAYS have a bottle of this stuff in my purse. I use it as a refresher fast dry topcoat on my polish everyday until I decide to change colors. It really does dry very fast and it helps my manicures last longer. Several of my girlfriends have bought this product after I recommended it, it is that good. This product comes in second only to Seche Vite Fast Dry topcoat. I'll buy this little genie in a red bottle again and again for as long as it is available to me!
