Treatments -John Frieda - Daily Nourishment leave-in fortifying spray

I have a real mop of course curly hair, and the older I get, the dryer it gets. Because of the dryness of my hair, I try to wash my hair maybe once or twice a week (especially in the cold weather). Even with limiting the shampoo time, my hair is still pretty dry. I use leave deep conditioners and leave in conditioners. You would think with all that, my hair would have grease running off it. But no, that is not the case. Instead, I find myself reaching over and over for my little lifesaver -- this spray-in conditioner. It really does a nice job of helping my hair look shiny, smooth, and easier to manage. I am half way through my second bottle. I love this stuff.
My skin is too dry to work well with MMU. However, this stuff is really nice and does a great job of canceling out the red, without making you look odd. If I could wear MMU, this would be my HG of corrector/neutralizers.
For me this is the best in a highlight shade. For reference I am an NW15. Goes on smooth with no fall out. Love it. The only downside is the expense. There are drugstore duplicates for this shade that cost less than 1/2 the price with similar quality. However, having said that -- I really love this shade and MAC eye shadows in general.
Wedge doesn't look like much in the container, but it is a great lid and crease color. I imagine that this is a great color for a lot of different people. It is very neutral, easy to apply, and there is no fall out. While I am a big fan of many neutral drugstore eye shadows, you do not need to use a lot to get the desired effect. It is a pricey eye shadow, but there seems to be a life time supply in the container. You will probably have to toss this for hygiene reasons long before you hit pan.
Crème -Graftobian - High-Definition Glamour Color Creme Foundation

I had been looking for a medium to full coverage foundation that matched my skin tone and had a finish that I liked. Graftobian's Creme foundation is as close to perfect as is possible. I really like the finish, which I think of as milky, and I can build the coverage to cover most of what I want to hide and still look natural. The color match is more than great -- it is close to perfect. I use Bombshell and for a point of reference in MAC I am a NW15. Finally, the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend giving this foundation a try, but keep in mind the following. There is a learning curve with this foundation. When people say a little goes a long way, they are not kidding. If you put too much on, it can look pretty bad. You may have to play around with how you apply it.
Deodorants -Dove - Dove deodorant/antipersperant original scent

I do not like this product. It does not keep me dry, which I could live with. However, it does not keep me odor free. After wearing it for a while, I get a kind of unpleasant musty smell, which I think is coming from the scent of the product. I would rather smell like sweat than smell musty. So I will not be repurchasing this product again.
While this did not break me out or irritate my skin, this was not a good moisturizer for me. As far as I could see and feel, there was little to no effect of this cream. I had heard so many good things about this product, but really for my skin, there was nothing there. I am not able to recommend this product at all.
People appear to have strong feelings on this product. For me it works very well. It is easy to apply, and it helps make my eye shadow last. I have been using this product for more than a year and I have not had any issues with creasing. I have tried Urban Decay's eye primer and I actually prefer the DeCrease to the Urban Decay. I do not see any real difference in the performance of the two products, except I like the texture of the DeCrease better. I have repurchased this product several times and have been very satisfied.
From the reviews here I think this may be as close to a universal blush/highlighter as we may ever come. On my NW15 skin this makes a lovely peachy/pink blush (if you use a light hand). The gold shimmer is not too much. Please note that the first time I used this, I was pretty horrified because it was almost all gold. I wiped the top layer with a tissue and that seemed to get rid of the gold face thing. I am really happy with this blush. It looks great, wears well and is reasonably priced. I will buy this again.
Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 15 Normal/Dry Skin

This is a nice foundation. When I apply it with a stippling brush, it makes my skin look very nice. It is in many ways a perfect foundation. This is a product that does what it says it does. It provides medium to full coverage, and it stays put -- all day, no matter what. However, there are two issues for me that keep this from being the perfect foundation. The first is the smell. It is not good. To me it smells like medicine and it does not go away during the day. The second is the color match. I am a NW15 and the 110 is too pale (people actually ask me if I am sick when I wear it). The 150 on the other hand is a little too yellow. I look like I might be getting jaundice. So the search for the perfect foundation continues.
Lip Gloss -E.L.F. - Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 - Goddess

The color was great; however, the scent that comes off this product is horrible (at least to me). It smells like really sweet, cheap candy. It is so bad that I will have to give it to my niece. She is 13, so the aroma may not be off putting to her! Here is hoping!
Cleansers -Olay - Hydrating Daily Facials for Normal to Dry Skin

I love this product. Takes my makeup off, leaves my face feeling nice and smooth -- not tight. I use these at night and i am very satisfied. You can buy a four month supply at Sam's Club for a reasonable price. Absolutely the best for traveling.
If you are looking for a mascara that will make you look like you only better, this is a go to product. It is a mascara, that lengthens your lashes and defines them subtly. If you are want to create a strong look, a night out on the town look, or something very powerful, this mascara will most likely disappoint you -- a lot. However, for a nice laid back everyday look, this is great. I will definitely buy this mascara again.
As I get older I find that it is my eyebrows are not thinning, but they are starting to turn white. Actually, I am kind of starting to look like Mrs. Claus in the eyebrow department. In the past I have had my brows colored at the same time that my hair was done, but let's face it who wants those chemicals near your eyes? So I have turned to eyebrow pencils to kind of cover up the snow. This brow pencil is great. It is easy to use, it covers up the white brows, and it is inexpensive to boot. Love it! Love it! Love it! However, I would never use this as an eye liner. Who ever came up with that packaging description had to either have been a man or a masochist! Absolutely not a liner!!!
Lipstick -Wet 'n' Wild - Silk Finish - #502A - Dark Pink Frost
lillyrowan 8/28/2010 8:52:00 PM
Not one of my favorites. I'm not sure why this is called a 'dark' pink. It is not dark. It is a very soft, light, pink frosted lippie. It's not bad, but it's not great for a NW15.
