Treatments -Redken - Extreme Anti Snap OLD FORMULA see 143469 for new [REFORMULATED]

I'm very disappointed in this product. It weighs my hair down and yet still doesn't seem to have helped the condition of it whatsoever. I have over-processed, highlighted hair. This stuff is a huge waste of $$$. Redken products just seem to do "0" for me. Will NOT repurchase.

Conditioner -Terax - Crema
lexigal 10/19/2006 12:03:00 AM
This is a great conditioner for colored hair; very moisturizing without weighing hair down. The smell is pleasant...but it's a bit pricey to justify using all the time. I HATE the tub. Poor packaging but it's one of the better conditioners out there.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Exact
lexigal 10/18/2006 11:48:00 PM
This is my favorite mascara! It separates and lengthens and makes my lashes look so long and beautiful without looking like I'm wearing much on them. I curl first (my lashes are decently long but go straight out) and can apply up to a few layers and voila! Beautiful and inexpensive...I'm on my 4th tube. Love it.

Treatments -Aussie - 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeep
lexigal 10/18/2006 11:42:00 PM
I've only recently started using this but so far I am VERY impressed. This is a great and CHEAP deep conditioner that I am using everyday on my fried hair and it's not weighing it down, the scent is decent (I can't stand the other Aussie scents) and I like the packaging. Great find!

Treatments -Nexxus - Emergencee Strengthening Polymeric Reconstructor
lexigal 10/18/2006 11:38:00 PM
Nexuss Emergencee=Aloxxi polymedic??? I have already reviewed this product (LOVE IT!), but wanted to share something I discovered today at my local beauty supply. I went in looking for my Nexxus EMERGENCEE and was told they were out of it and may be discontinuing it! What??? Refusing to believe this, I searched the Nexxus aisle frantically looking for my beloved hair saver, and noticed that Nexuss seems to be changing their packaging...perhaps Emergencee is now called something else??? I pick up this large bottle that says "Aloxxi polymedic" and read the ingredients. EXACTLY the same as Emergencee. I open it and it smells the same with the same egg-white consistancy. Even better, though since it costs $42.99 for 16.9 oz, as opposed to the small bottles of E that I was paying between $15-17 dollars for 3.3 oz. Just wanted to let everyone know in case they can't find the Emergencee it may be due to a repackaging issue. Either way, check out your local beauty supply stores since this seems to be a more economical option! (I'm probably the only one who didn't know this already.) If they ever do discontinue this product I don't know what I will do : (

Conditioner -Victoria's Secret - So Sexy Nourishing Conditioner
lexigal 10/18/2006 11:28:00 PM
This is one of my favorite conditioners and I love the shampoo as well. I probably never would have bought this (Thanks MUA!!!)but it has become one of the front-runners in my shampoo/conditioner rotation. It does sort of "stop working" after a while but I think that's just my hair and as long as I rotate products every few weeks I'm good. This leaves my hair (fine, but lots of it, and over-processed) smooth and soft with a delicious scent and full of volume. The bottle is slightly annoying (poor design) but I leave it upside down in the shower...not too huge a deal. 3/$21 isn't too bad either.

Lip Liners -Rimmel - 1000 Kisses stay on lipliner in Spice
lexigal 10/18/2006 11:10:00 PM
I love this lipliner! It has replaced my MAC Spice as my favorite everyday liner. It is slightly more pink than the Spice and just looks a bit warmer and more fleshy colored. I also prefer the softer more blendable texture and just apply a bit of lip balm on top of it. It's so cheap and lasts a decent amount of time. Best pinky-nude shade I've found for the price and in general.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Casting color [DISCONTINUED]
lexigal 8/12/2006 6:13:00 PM
I am very pleased with how my hair looks after using this! I bought the dark blonde shade "Palomino" to use on my medium/longish light brown hair. The bottom 6 inches of my hair was fried and brassy from over-highlighting, and the top virgin hair was too dark and mousy. I've been trying to avoid highlights for a while to get my hair back in shape, and this was the perfect solution. It blended my yellow hair with the roots and it's now a dark golden blonde and feels so much silkier than before. I'm hoping it doesn't fade too quickly, but even if it does, no biggie to redo it. I don't think I'd recommend this color unless your natural color is dark blonde to light brown. Something tells me it could get too brassy.

Hair Color -Revlon - Frost & Glow Highlighting Kit
lexigal 10/17/2005 3:14:00 PM
This is by far the best home highlighting product I have ever used! I was skeptical, but purchased this product last week after reading all of the great reviews. I have light brown hair. (I was very blond as a kid and it is now that dull dishwater color that REQUIRES chemical assistance.) I have been spending $120-180 every couple months for years to have my hair professionally highlighted but have been continually searching for a less expensive alternative. I have tried a few of the "newer" highlighting kits with the mascara wands with disasterous results. I am so pleased with this product! Yes, the packaging is tacky. Who cares. Edited to add that after taking a hiatus from highlighting (7 mos.)I nearly ruined my hair by leaving the bleach on too long. My own stupidity I realize, but now I'm afraid to use this again.
