Lotions/ Creams -Lac Hydrin - Lac-Hydrin Five Moisturizing Lotion
kimstar247 10/9/2006 1:50:00 PM
good night cream or don't have to go anywhere cream...but it was too thick for my liking when i wore it underneath makeup. defeats my makeup to last all day. due to my recent dry skin outbreak on my face, i'm using cetaphil at night. when i'm not so dry, i'll switch back to this b/c i like the glow that i get from it. =) i tried it on my arms (no kp) and legs, so far, i like it. a little bit goes a long way. the bottle is "GINORMOUS", so i doubt i'll ever finish it (therefore, no need to repurchase since i'll never really run out!). according to sephoragasm's question...the label on my bottle hasn't peeled off yet but i'll update if it ever does. =)

Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Moisturizing Lotion
kimstar247 10/9/2006 1:35:00 PM
almost everything under the sun could break me out these days...but not this one. lately, i've got dry skin on my neck and face that nothing seemed to help. until i came across this bad boy and it fixed my dry skin! it's a no frills...no fancy packaging...and no irritating ingredients (not for me, at least). i only use at nighttime while i sleep and wake up as a happy camper with moisturized skin. =)

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - 2 Sexy Voluptuous Volume Hairspray
kimstar247 10/5/2006 1:36:00 PM
the caps keeps popping off so easily...even happened with the checker at target. lol. anyways, disappointed with this h/s. cons: it didn't give my hair much volume, hair went limp, didn't hold my curls that well (naturally fine, bone straight hair, and i use hot rollers for curls). pros: i like the way that the mist sprays out. i'll stick with tigi's hard head.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Hydrogen Peroxide
kimstar247 9/27/2006 2:01:00 AM
i started using the 50/50 hydrogen peroxide and water as a toner and it is helping with clearing up my skin. i have done research and read to be careful with applying this because it causes free radical damage, which causes premature aging and wrinkles. i have also read that a way to combat the damage and to neutralize the free radicals is to use vitamin c which works as an antioxidant. so, after i cleanse my face, i use the hydrogen peroxide toner, then use Zapzyt for spot treatment of any zits, let that dry, and then finally apply avalon organics vitamin c rejuvenating moisturizer. also, some people using h202 as a toner may experience lightening of the skin. i've read that it has been known to lighten skin...and hair, too, so be sure to go around the eyebrows! =) hope this helps.

Treatments -Pantene - Restoratives Breakage Defense Strengthening Spray [DISCONTINUED]
kimstar247 9/18/2006 1:30:00 AM
Love this spray by Pantene. I use this before I blowdry my hair and it really does make my hair look and feel more silky. It also feels healthy so it's probably helping with breakage as well. I will repurchase once I'm all out of it. =) Great stuff.

Skincare - Face -MAC - Fix+
kimstar247 9/11/2006 2:11:00 PM
hg in a bottle. this stuff is magical. i've tried nothing else like it. awakens my face, undoes the cakey powder puff face, gives a natural dewiness to the skin, and makes my makeup last longer. one more thing to add to my purse and daily retouch regimen.

Eyeliner -Sephora - Jumbo Eye Pencil - 502 Beige
kimstar247 9/1/2006 2:17:00 PM
did my research for a comparable chubby/jumbo pencil to alexis vogel's aura stick. i got tired of having to order it via online and since i was running low on it, i wanted something asap. went to sephora and it is a good match...if not better. it's only $5, applies smoothly, color is fantastic with a smidge of sparkle, and no wait! i love it...will definitely repurchase. fyi - i use it to line the bottom of my eye and it really makes it pop! not too dark, not too light, 'tis perfecto!

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
kimstar247 8/23/2006 7:42:00 PM
best e/s primer ever! sometimes i go days w/o it if i'm in a rush but it's never the same. my e/s really stays put all day long with primer potion. i've tried the too faced 2nd base primer and isn't nearly as good as this one. the wand is nice & soft, too, for easy application. i <3 <3 <3 this stuff. it is a hot item and i've never had any luck buying them at an actual store...thank goodness for the intersnet.

Misc Beauty Tools -Unlisted Brand - No Scream Cream numbing cream for waxing
kimstar247 8/23/2006 3:05:00 PM
i have mixed feelings on this no scream cream. bikini waxes are painful period and i could use all the help that i could get. so, with this cream plus poppin' a few advil, i am more at ease during the "procedure" versus without. i have gone without the two mentioned above and was in way more anguish...so, i'm sticking with my regimen.

Eyeliner -MAC - Powerpoint - Gilded White
kimstar247 8/18/2006 2:40:00 PM
Not a perfect white E/L but the best I've tried yet. I'm a C4, medium-tanned skin tone...I've tried Rimmel's Pure White...'twas TOO white and chalky. Gilded is waxy but once it's on there where you want it...it's bad a** if I don't mind saying so myself. Brightens the eyes, good for daytime, dollish, very cutesy. Until I find a better creamish color e/l that stays put and blows me away, I'm using this one. UPDATE: still love the white e/l look on bottom lashline but was spending way too much time trying to get this one to stay put. went back to my rimmel white e/l and applied with a lighter hand...way better. mac's gilded white is waxy, too creamy for me, and i get e/l clumps after applying. taking away 2 lippies. sorry, mac, i still love you!

Shampoo -Schwarzkopf - Bonacure Silver Reflex Shampoo
kimstar247 8/18/2006 2:29:00 PM
Magic Potion in a bottle. POOF...just like that, it corrects brassiness, yellow-tones, red-tones, from my super bleached highlighted hair (naturally dark brown) and gives my hair the ashy brownish blonde streaks back but SHINY, as if I just got it done. This truly helps freshen the color...and I have tried others, like ARTec. Bonacure blows it away because it's not drying like how ARTec is. Not to knock down ARTec completely...since it worked for me before...this one is just better in comparison. I purchased this in the smaller bottle but will get the gallon once I'm done. LOVE this stuff to pieces.

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Jubilee
kimstar247 8/16/2006 6:16:00 PM
finally migrated away from mac's taupe lipstick after like 8 years...onto jubilee! the texture of the lustre is non-matte (that's all i knew with taupe) and the color is nude on me with a hint of pinkish brown. i wanted to bring out more pink but stay on somewhat of the nude side, so i use this with soar lipliner. i usually don't do well with pinks having c4/medium dark blot powder skin-tone...but this is a good one. =) thanks to back 2 mac...this was fo' free!

Treatments (Eye) -Burt's Bees - Repair Serum with Attar of Rose
kimstar247 8/15/2006 7:08:00 PM
ok, i don't get it. finally got my hands on this and i was so excited to use this stuff according to the rave reviews. used the tiniest amount underneath my eyes last night and my vision has been blurry and i can't concentrate all day (i didn't reapply any today, just last night). i would venture to say that the oil got into my eyes and is still in there. even my eyeliner (waterproof, at that) keeps wearing off. what a disappointment. oh, and i did wash my hands before and after. i also used the smallest amount possible. maybe i'll try again by patting it way below my eyes so the oil won't sneak in there. i'll update when i do.
