I have olive, medium toned skin and I love this color. I was looking for a pinky nude lipstick to try- This is my first lipstick ever! I always wear gloss, but wanted to try something with a bit more color to make my lips nude, as I have a lot of pigment in them and most glosses just look clear on my lips. The MA suggested this and said it was her go-to pink lipstick for pretty much everybody. The only thing, though, is when I tried the tester on I felt like it went on a little more creamy than my tube does...I wonder if there's a top layer on it or something and after I use it a while it might "warm up" and go on more creamy? I'll just have to see. All in all, this lipstick is great.
This product smells great and leaves my hair shiny and manageable. I rub into wet hair after a shower and comb through. This has replace my glossing cream from Fekkai because that one always seemed to make my hair flat and feel oily and this one smells amazing. The only downside is the price and if you leave it on it's side the product separates and some of the oil can leak out of the cap.
Great hair product. I have slightly dry, long, unprocessed hair and this stuff is amazing. I use it once a week and just rub it into the ends, comb through, leave in for about an hour or longer, and wash out. My hair smells great and feels great, nice and soft. A little goes a long way even for my really long hair. I will definitely re-purchase when I run out.
This product smells bad and doesn't do anything for my unprocessed, untreated hair. I just wanted something as a sort of end protectant and conditioner and this is not it. Glad I got the trial size.
This is no better a product than pantene or any other drugstore brand, just 4 times the cost! It detangles somewhat, but doesn't really condition much. Overall, bad product.
I bought this because I have the deep conditioning mask and love it. This condition is not worth it's expensive price tag. I have long, semi-dry hair that's untreated and just need a moisturizing conditioner to keep it healthy. I don't blow dry, either- ever. I did get a compliment that my hair smelled good, but conditioning wise it's horrible. I feel like my hair's not any better after than before.
Pressed Powders -LORAC - Perfectly Lit Luminizing Powder

I got this because a friend was wearing it one day and her skin looked amazing. At first I hated this product. The packaging is ugly, the crappy applicator it comes with is useless, and when applied with the sponge it looks hideous- way too much shimmer to use as an all-over powder. But I was stuck with it so I decided to experiment and instead of using as a touch up powder with sponge, used it as a setting powder with a powder brush. Now I LOVE this product. Sets the makeup nicely and leaves a nice glow- not shiny or shimmery-to the face. Awesome product as long as you learn how to apply it.
This product is slightly disappointing. It matches my skin great- I'm a 6.5, feels great on, has sheer to medium coverage, doesn't dry me out, but it doesn't seem to wear off a little quicker than I'd like for the price. I think it's a great foundation, but not really worth $58 US. There are better foundation for equal or less money.
Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 [DISCONTINUED]

I was skeptical at first about this foundation because I felt like after I bought it the color didn't match. Tried to take it back and the MA told me to keep and try it a few more times. So glad she did it looks fabulous on. The trick is to apply with a kabuki brush or with fingers and just go outward in. I know that sounds backwards, but that's what they told me and it works great. It stays on all day, has a great finish, beautiful packaging and treatment in the product so it's great for dry skin. Loved it so much I went back for the Nude concealer and love it, too (never used concealer before I bought that one).
Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation

Extremely disappointed in this foundation considering all the hype it gets. I have pretty dry skin and this foundation made me look like an oil slick from the minute I put it on. I set it with powder and it still looked really oily immediately after. Also, it transfers really easily which is no good! Everytime I touched my face it came off and I could see it on my fingers. There is no way I would buy this again and can't see how anyone would. I got matched by two different people, first with # 123 and this color was good for winter and the second time with # 127 for summer. This is an okay foundation, but nothing spectacular.
My color is Punjab and the product is okay. Lasting power is amazing, I didn't need to touch it up. The color matched my skin perfectly, too. The only downside is that after a couple of days of wearing it, my skin had a little break out of small bumps around my chin and cheeks. The formula felt moisturizing on my dry skin and melted right in. I did need to put two coats on, something I've never had to do, to get a medium coverage. I tried applying it with a kabuki brush, my fingers, and a sponge. Fingers work the best IMO. Because of that I won't be buying this again. For the price I can get Dior Skin Nude which is a far better foundation.
Mascara -Yves Saint Laurent - Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils

I bought this the other day in black and went back today to get the dark purple color. I have brown eyes and have been wanting something different as far as eye makeup goes, I always seem to buy neutrals...The smell is amazing and the packaging is what got me. I'm a sucker for marketing. But the color doesn't transfer after a day of wearing it and it feels so creamy going on and makes my short, straight lashes full and incredibly soft. Also, it holds the curl and doesn't weight my lashes down. The black is amazing and the purple looks like a dark mascara and I can't really tell it's not black. I do think it brings out my eye color though, the slight color must accentuate the brown in just the subtlest and most perfect way. A+
Eye Shadow -Bobbi Brown - Metallic Eyeshadow in Rockstar
kimberlyball 1/19/2010 10:34:00 PM
Overall, this is an okay product. It's my first Bobbi Brown product and honestly probably my last. It shows up a true gray color, great for day by itself or in combination with other colors for a smoky look. Staying power is great, it looks the same after a long day as it does when I first put it on. The only bad thing is I have to put to or three coats of it on for it to show up and look semi-even, it just doesn't glide on evenly even when paired with a cream base.
I bought this on the MA's enthusiasm and great lashes. At first I was disappointed because I don't like comb/brush wands and the formula seemed heavy and goopy. I've used it couple of times and it's okay for a day look. I'll continue using it because I have it now, but will not re-purchase due to the heaviness of the formula. My lashed are stick straight and I need a lighter formula so that it doesn't weigh my lashes back down after I curl them.
Eyeliner -Make Up For Ever - Aqua eyes waterproof eyeliner pencil
kimberlyball 1/18/2010 12:18:00 PM
These truly are waterproof. You can swim in them and they stay put, and yet are still slightly creamy. I wouldn't recommend these for the waterline though because they do tug at the skin a bit.
