This is a great sheer lipstick. I thought the color looked too purple in the tube, but it's a nice berry color. I have pale skin and this looks great and feels good on. It has OK staying power, but it's really not any better than any other lipstick. My only problem with this is the packaging. The cap tends to fall off because it doesn't click into place very well.
This is the best solution I've found for dry/calloused feet! I've tried other tools and many creams, but now I've found something that works! One of the things I like about this is that it is supposed to be used on dry feet. I generally shower in the morning and I don't usually have extra time for this sort of thing when I'm getting ready. I also don't have time to soak my feet at night because I'm taking care of kids. This works really well and I noticed results after the first use. It's kind of expensive, but definitely worth it.
Misc Beauty Tools -Tarte - Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler
jalmy 10/16/2006 10:30:00 PM
I bought this based on the good reviews here, but it just doesn't work for me. I've been trying to find an eyelash curler that works with my eye shape and this one really doesn't! My eyes are a little deep-set (I never felt this way until I started trying to use eyelash curlers) and the shape of this makes it impossible for me to grab my lashes with it except for at the very ends. I'm guessing it curls OK. My problem is with the shape of the curler.
Misc Beauty Tools -Alison Raffaele - Blotting Tissues
jalmy 9/24/2006 10:56:00 PM
I have amazingly oily skin and these work really well for me. I've tried Clean and Clear, but these seem to blot better and they don't get stuck to my face like C&C did. I buy these through drugstore.com with almost every order because I tend to buy about $45 worth of stuff and these get me up to the free shipping total!
Loose Powders -Bobbi Brown - Pale Yellow Loose Powder
jalmy 9/7/2006 10:06:00 PM
I love this powder! I have very oily skin and this sets my makeup well and leaves me shine free for a few hours. Other powders look cakey on my skin, but this doesn't. I have some red undertones and this helps lessen them. I've purchased this at least 3 times and I'll definitely re-purchase when I run out.
I loved the smell of this! I used it primarily as a body wash and I really enjoyed it. I wasn't looking for the smell to stay on my skin or hair and it didn't. My 6 year old daughter discovered it and asked to try it and then she wanted to use it all the time too. It's too expensive to use all of the time, but I'll buy it again as a treat.
Misc Beauty Tools -Clean & Clear - Oil Absorbing Sheets

I think these would be OK for somewhat oily skin, but mine is very oily. They stick to my skin when I use them and other blotting papers seem to absorb oil better.
Eye Makeup Remover -Almay - Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads
jalmy 8/24/2006 9:45:00 PM
This is the worst eye makeup remover I've ever tried! It's so oily that I need to wash with soap and water afterwards to be able to see at all. Even then, it takes a while for the blurred vision to go away.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Star Opal Nail Glaze Violet Opal 07
jalmy 8/23/2006 10:37:00 PM
I bought this color because it looked so great in the ads. It looks nothing like the ads when used! It is very very sheer and doesn't reflect light the way they advertise it. It wears fairly well and it's not a bad color if you want something sheer, but that's not what I was looking for.
I almost always have polish on my nails and now this is the only brand I will use. It is the most long-lasting of any that I've tried. I even bring it when I get a professional manicure or pedicure. I've noticed that some of the very pale, more sheer colors can streak a little, but after 2-3 coats it evens out. I love the color selection they have! I use the Sally Hansen Age Correct base and top coat with this and I don't chip for a week. About 3 days after I first do my nails, I apply another top coat.
I have oily skin and I thought this would be a good lower-priced alternative as a cleanser. This seemed to harsh for my skin and left it feeling dry and irritated. It didn't help control breakouts for me at all and it left my skin more red than usual.
Lip Treatments -Neutrogena - Moistureshine Tinted Lip Balm [DISCONTINUED]
jalmy 8/20/2006 10:42:00 PM
I like this product because it feels good on my lips and has very wearable colors. It doesn't smell strange and it is very moisturizing. The only problem is that it is not long-lasting at all. I don't know if it's absorbing into my lips or what, but I don't think it lasts more than an hour.
I have some hyper-pigmentation on my cheek. This product did nothing to help lighten this area. I've used it for about 3 months with high hopes because of the reviews I've read here. It's possible that it may have lightened the area very slightly, so I'm giving it 2 lippies. It goes on nicely and doesn't smell strange or irritate my skin. It just didn't lighten the pigmentation. I will not re-purchase.
This eyeliner goes on easily in a thick or thin line. It doesn't tug on my eyelid as I apply it the way pencil liners do. For me, it lasts all day (12-14 hours). I bought this because of the good reviews here and I'm glad I did!
Update: I can't find this anywhere and I emailed them throught their site to ask where to get it. They told me it's been discontinued!!!! I guess I'll search for something new. Darn!!!! I bought this because of the positive reviews and I'm so glad I did! I feel like I've tried every no-chip product and polish out there. I've had pretty good luck with OPI polish, but I'd still have to touch up chips once or twice each week. I use this as a base and top coat and I re-apply the top coat 2 days later. I've been using this for about 2 months and my manicures have all lasted 7 days with no chipping!
