Lipstick -L'Oreal - Infallible Lip Colour Duo
rated 3 of 5

The packaging is cheap in my opinion, and the only reason I liked this product was that it had good staying power. However, if you apply it unevenly you will be able to tell, and it is drying. The top coat doesn't do much, you would be better off buying a good lip stain and then a cheap, good lip balm like Blistex Raspberry to get better results. If your lips are dry you will be able to tell. The wand is like that of a lip gloss one, making it tough to get a good accurate line, especially with brighter colors which is crucial. Overall, don't hate it, but would not repurchase.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara in Black
rated 2 of 5

I wasnt a fan of this product, I liked the prep white base, but it was so starchly white, that even though my lashes are naturally black, after I put the black on it still couldn't cover up the white. Maybe my formula was dried out. I use the white as a base for other mascaras when I'm going out. Also, it makes my eyes itchy if it gets in them, I think I am allergic to it. The brush is nothing special, and the only time I ever wear it is when I'm going to work and can get away with a really subtle eye. If you're craving a dramatic eye, this won't help.

Loose Powders -MAC - Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder
rated 5 of 5
jacoba 4/8/2011 9:22:00 PM

I am in looooove with this product. I have a relatively oily T-zone, and have NEVER been able to find a powder that holds up and fully eliminates shine. I'm usually having to blot profusely after even an hour, despite having applied powder. I've tried the MAC mineralize powder, Dior, Clinique, you name it. And what I love about this one is that you don't have to change your powder or wear less or more if your skin tone changes, like if you tan, etc. because it really is translucent. You can wear it year round, and it just mattifies everything, with no signs of that tell-tale cakey line around your jaw or anywhere. I apply it with a powder brush, there's no need to use a sponge in my opinion. The only reason I gave the packaging quality a 3 is because its a loose powder, I wish it was pressed. But I'm not complaining. Exceptional product!

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - One n' Only - Argan Oil Treatment
rated 4 of 5
jacoba 4/8/2011 9:15:00 PM

I would buy this product again if Morrocanoil was discontinued... Apparently Morrocanoil and this Argan oil are derived from the same product, but I just like having the "designer" version of it haha. But one small bottle has lasted me almost a year, and I have very long hair and use it every time I shower. Even after I get highlights in my hair that need bleach to lighten, my stylists always comment on how well my ends manage to hold up during the process. This is the best investment you will make for your hair!

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil
rated 5 of 5

Been using this for over a year, my hair stylist has noticed how I can get my hair bleached and my ends still manage to stay intact. My hair is healthier than it has ever been. Can get expensive, but a regular sized bottle will last me probably two years. Worth the investment!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Sex in the City Eau de Parfum
rated 2 of 5
jacoba 4/3/2011 12:36:00 PM

If you pay any attention to detail, you'll notice right off the bat that this is a cheap perfume because they can't even get the name right. I'm assuming (like many others) that it was designed after the tv show. But the tv show is "Sex AND the city," and the perfume is "sex IN the city". I like the smell, its pleasant but not daring. Very generic smelling, like your average celebrity perfume. If someone walked by you wearing this, I can gaurentee you wouldnt be able to tell which perfume it was even if you are perfume-educated because it smells so average. It doesn't last very long, a given being that it was so cheap. It's probably mostly alcohol, and I've heard that horse urine is a main ingredient in cheap perfumes, so I wouldnt be surprised. I wear it when I'm at work, I just want to get rid of it. I bought it when I was younger and before I was educated about perfume, and before I knew how important it is to invest in a quality scent. Oh well. For those of you who are thinking of buying it, go for something with a little more power, a little more statement. This doesn't deliver. A nice gift for a young preteen or teenage girl.

Shampoo -Biosilk - Silver Lights Shampoo
rated 3 of 5
jacoba 4/3/2011 12:32:00 PM

The only reason I'm saying I would buy this product again is because it was dirt cheap (I got it at Winners) for a huge bottle, and so far it has kept my blonde highlights from fading. However, I do not recommend it for dry hair because my hair feels almost like straw when I rinse it, and the only saving grace I have is that I use leave in conditioners and Morrocanoil, and a good deep conditioner. Overall, I would not pay full price for this, and I think a shampoo for color treated hair would be better than this silver shampoo for blonde hair.

Treatments -Rene Furterer - Karite intense nutrition oil
rated 3 of 5
jacoba 3/9/2011 8:17:00 PM

I hate the smell, it's overpowering if left in too long. I don't notice any conditioning qualities, however my hair is very healthy and conditioned because I never style it, so anyone with dry hair, give it a try. It doesn't leave any residue. Overall it is average.

Treatments -Ojon - Hydrating Thickening Spray
rated 4 of 5
jacoba 3/9/2011 8:14:00 PM

this definitely makes your hair appear thicker and more voluminous. Only problem I had was that combing it out afterwards, it can be kind of sticky. Don't use too much, a little goes a long way. It lasts forever, and does it's job well.

Fragrances -Sedu - Seductive by Guess
rated 4 of 5
jacoba 3/9/2011 8:12:00 PM

It may be a bit generic smelling like most mass produced brand name scents, but its sexy without being overpowering, and everytime I spray it on I'm reminded of why I bought it! Recommend for anyone who isn't into expensive love it or hate it perfumes. It will appeal to everyone, but I wouldn't buy it again as my taste has outgrown it.

Fragrances -Beauticontrol - Brown Sugar Body Oil
rated 5 of 5
jacoba 3/9/2011 8:11:00 PM

Love the smell of this. the oil is moisturizing without being greasy, and the scent is subtle but feminine. It smells almost edible and will make you want cookies! The only problem I've had is that the nozzle has gotten a bit clogged, but nothing that I can't fix. Love it.

Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Dream Angels Heavenly
rated 4 of 5
jacoba 3/9/2011 8:09:00 PM

I like this perfume, however, it is generic smelling like most cheaper perfumes, but the notes are distinct and not overpowering. It lasts fairly well, and is wonderful when you want to feel girly and would be great for a date! I wouldn't repurchase just because I never usually buy the same perfume twice.

Fragrances -J. Lo - Love and Glamour EDP
rated 3 of 5
jacoba 3/9/2011 8:04:00 PM

This is a lovely scent. Its floral without being fake smelling, and it lasts fairly well. However, it is one of those generic scents that usually come with the territory of celebrity scents. This one, like all the other celebrity fragrances, are designed to appeal to the masses, and if you're in doubt, I recommend this one. It's one of those ones that appeals to everyone, so you won't have anyone walking past you saying "ew I hate her perfume" but it doesn't have a wow factor either.

Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - With Love by Hilary Duff
rated 3 of 5
jacoba 3/9/2011 7:59:00 PM

The scent is strong initially, but it fades nicely and lasts a long time. If you like the scent, the I would recommend because it lasts all day and isn't overpowering. But if you use too much, I found that it can trigger sensitivity and gave me a slight headache. But overall I would recommend if you're looking for a cheap perfume that lasts.
