Powder -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Powdered Mineral Foundation

THE GOOD: -mineral foundation at a good price point. -i got mine for ~$10 at walmart. walgreens and cvs have specials regularly on l'oreal so you should be able to get a pretty sweet deal on it most days. -nice color match and great color range for all skin colors. -smooth finish that doesn't cake or oxidize. build-able coverage. THE BAD: like everybody's said... the packaging sucks. the brush is worthless. i got a great kabuki brush from everyday minerals for $10 that i use with it that i love. i've also heard great things about the retractable kabuki from ecotools for mineral foundation as well. OVERALL: nice drugstore mineral foundation. would buy again. give it a try! As a new bride scouring over bridal magazines all I could see repeated over and over again was GET A MONTHLY FACIAL. Okay, so I don't know how much other brides make a month, but I can't afford to shell out $100+ a month for a luxury facial. Sooooo.. in my search for a cheaper option this little guy popped up! It was actually recommended in one of my bridal magazines :) Went to target... you can also get them at other superstores like Walmart or drugstores as well. I paid about $23 for this. You smooth it on your dry, clean face with a very thin layer (therefore making the jar last FOREVER). Really rub it in. Wait 5 minutes then rinse off. WAALAHH... beautiful smooth soft skin! They advise to use it about 2x a week and I agree. More than that would make your skin raw. I also put my Estee Lauder Daywear on top after rinsing off. So far, I completely love it and I think it's a wonderful alternative to monthly facials or as a needed facial pick-me-up. I'll still probably get spa facials.. but probably only 3 months out from the wedding :) Hope this helped!
Friggen amazing product :) I am a light-skinned golden undertoned gal (somewhere between NC25-NC30) and this product does wonders for my complexion in a pinch. Love Laguna for the summer when it's actually believable. This is THE perfect winter bronzer. Yes, it's expensive. But all NARS products are... and I've been using this since September and barely have any dip in it. Very pigmented. Very "glowy" effect without the glitter. This doesn't really bronze you.. this just makes you look healthy.. as another reviewer put it. Overall, so glad I took a chance on this (bought it off sephora.com without testing it first)... and definitely recommend and would buy again. That means a lot coming from a very poor grad student :)
Powder -Everyday Minerals - Foundation Original Glo Formula

Wow. Received sample size as part of the light sampler. Color match was great to begin with. Then it slowly slid off my face. ew. I'm not an oily gal. normal-combo skin. This is definitely for dry skin. No staying power. Very messy. Overall do not recommend for girls with combination skin. I don't need much coverage at all.. just a few dark circles and a little bit of uneven-ness... but this was ridiculous! I might as well not be wearing anything at all!
Makeup Brushes -Everyday Minerals - New Flat Top Brush

I can't believe I have been using mineral makeup without this brush! Works wonderfully with all their foundations. It's actually a lot smaller than it seemed online, but you don't need a big brush to get the job done. The baby flat top is cheaper and might be better for travel but is currently sold out on the everyday minerals website. Reasonably priced, beautifully made, super cute, and WORKS! Recommended :)
Milani's easy brow is very comparable to this for a fraction of the price! Walgreens and grocery stores carry Milani. Try that one instead... I can't make myself pay $20 for this product even though it is very good when I know of a product that is JUST like it at the drugstore.
After checking out multiple stores it has been found! Target and CVS in my area both carry it now. Target sells it with a complimentary foundation brush (which I think is probably pretty bad quality) and CVS is selling it this week as a buy one get one deal. I am between NC25 and NC30 in MAC, Vanilla Beige in Laura Mercier... got this in the "Nude 004" and the "Natural Beige 005". When I smeared some of the foundation on a some paper, the Natural Beige in Revlon and the Vanilla Beige from Laura Mercier were an EXACT match. I have pretty clear skin so the coverage was decent. I can see people that want full coverage NOT liking this foundation. Sparkles? oh yeah. definitely there. subtle in indoor lighting though. I like 'em. Application? Do this quickly! It dries very fast. I applied this to a moisterized and primed face with my Sonia Kashuk blender sponge. I liked the result. Does this photograph well? I went to multiple new year's eves parties last night and there were LOTS of photos. Definitely gives you a dewy, done look. The best thing about this foundation is the packaging as my fellow MUAers have said. Love that. Love the color match. Will buy again!
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Color Stay 12 Hour Eye Shadow- Berry Bloom

The fuchsia scared me at first but now it's the color I reach for the most. Great accent for brown eyes. The whole quad makes a great purple-pink smokey eye. I use this with some of the creme shadows from Revlon's Illuminance Creme Shadow quad in "wild orchids". The two together make a great color-pay off! I took off a lippie because I can't really wear it alone (not pigmented enough). Overall, great price, great colors, and great for beginners in eye make up like myself :)
I have this in "Poppy". The liquid cheek color comes in a pump bottle which is nice. The color is an alarming coral, but on the cheeks it's actually quite nice. I apply this with a cosmetic wedge sponge. I apply about a pump to each cheek and it gives you that just out from a snowday look :) I love it! Definitely apply with a sponge, gives you more control and makes it a little more intense.

Due to the amazing reviews I thought I'd try this out :) I have stick-straight fine hair and this product allows me to have an immense amount of volume! I got it for less than $5 also! I did combine this with Tresamme's 24 hour body root lifter, but I know this is what made the big difference because I have used the root lifter on it's own and it did nothing. Overall, pretty packaging, great results, reasonable price. I'd buy it again in an instant.
I love this! I have been looking for an automatic eyebrow pencil (I hate sharpening) that has a spoolie at the end... lo and behold.. Milani's easybrow! I bought it in the natural taupe. I'm a light-medium complected, dark-haired Asian, and I think it blends perfectly! Super easy and fast to use in the morning when I'm in a rush. I haven't had any problems with it falling apart on me. I recommend it.

dirt cheap! perfect for everyday. you can go heavy on the crease color and get a great smokey eye. overall, great buy and i love it.
I never would have tried this if it wasn't for MUA and I am so glad that I did! Medium Brown works great on my black eyebrows... the rule is to always go 3 shades lighter if you have dark hair and 3 shades darker if you have light hair to make it more natural. GREAT value! i got it at target for around $5. Much cheaper than most eyebrow pencils.. and this one you don't have to sharpen. I was skeptical about the little mascara comb looking thing at the other end but it actually works just as well as a spoolie. overall, great buy and i would definitely buy again.
Packaging is so much better this time! There's an inner lid that clicks into place so that you can actually travel with it. The matte formula doesn't dry me out at all. I've got combination skin and it does help keep shininess away. Coloring is about the same as your old bare minerals foundation color if you ever had one and like the other reviewers have said this has lighter coverage and is a little darker in color than the original formula. Overall, great foundation. Will buy again!
Wow. $2.50 for the sample size and it will last you forever. I bought this in the Dark brown and the medium brown. I'm Asian, have naturally black hair (which I dye a Dark Reddish Brown) and black eyebrows. The medium brown is good for daytime when you want a less intense look and the dark brown is good for night time when you'd like to go a bit more dramatic. Overall, good product, great price point, and cute little container. Just make sure you use sparingly. The stuff is SUPER pigmented.
