I LOVE this cream! I never thought I'd be using a "cold cream", but I prefer this over all others for removal of eye makeup. It makes "cleanup" so easy and it smells nice and doesn't sting my eyes! I think the price is great, too. My only "whine" about this product is that it comes in a jar and I end up with it under my fingernails too often, how about a nice tube?
Gels/Soaps -The Body Shop - Chocolate and Orange Shower Cream

This fragrance SOUNDED like a good idea. I have a friend who sells Body Shop at Home, so I ordered this from a home party. I don't like the fragrance at all and it doesn't smell to me like Chocolate OR orange...it's just fakey smelling, but the texture is nice. Missed the mark on this one.
The color I have is too dark for me, but I love the texture and would buy a lighter shade.
Lip Gloss -Philosophy - Sugar Cookie Kiss Me Lip Balm
ilovestuff 4/24/2005 1:17:00 AM
I got this new in a swap and it really tastes quite bad. Yeah, it SMELLS like a sugar cookie perhaps, but it tastes awful. It is not sweet at all and reminds me of having Vaseline on my lips...blech
Skincare - Face -Caudalie - Grape-seed rejuvenaing cream C80

This is a very heavy moisturizer and too much for my combination skin. It smells nice, but must contain quite a bit of perfume because it's strong.
Not sure what the "calming" tea is or if it's what this one used to be called, but the package I have of the only tea that had at my local Aveda store is "Comforting Tea". This is a wonderfully tasty blend of mint and licorice. My daughter loves this, tea, too. Very pleasant and fragrant, too!
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Coconut Body Butter

I love the scent of this body butter! A nice, true scent that is light, but lasts! The butter feels extraordinary, too! MMM, love this stuff!
This is a gorgeous shimmer powder! I love Aveda's pure products and this is no exception. I love the shimmery look, but am really too old (and the mother of 2) for "glitter", so this powder hits the spot. It's a pretty pale shade and shimmers just right in the light...not too heavy and stays on, too!
Okay, in general, I dislike scrubs in a tub...water gets in there, it gets under my nails, etc. Sephora had a great idea putting that Coffee and Cream scrub in a tube. But I am not talking about that, I am reviewing The Body Shop's Cranberry Salt Scrub. The scent is AMAZING! I am lemming this stuff every year by July for the past 4 years! I never stock up enough and it's super hard to find year-round. It feels great and this is one of the only Body Shop lines I am really crazy about (besides the Hemp).
Fragrances -Comptoir Sud Pacifique - Amour de Cacao

As with most CSP fragrances, I don't get it! I don't get what the big deal is. This reminds me of something that my 9-year-old daughter would get in a Tinkerbell or Bonnie Bell kids' makeup kit. It is a pleasant scent, but not for this almost-30 mama of 2 who wants to be remembered for her elegant fragrances and not have people wondering if one of my kids wiped chocolate frosting on me somewhere from their sticky hands. Nice, but not on a woman.
I absolutely ADORE this gorgeous creamy rouge. Looks great on my lips, too! The scent is sort of pretty and it has a nice sheen to it. I had never tried cream blush before this one and it's really spectacular!
Now, the only complaint I even remotely have on this is that the packaging ensures that I get this under my nails. I love this stuff and just got more in a swap! YAY! I'll never run out now! This stuff lasts forever because you need just a little bit. In fact, if you use too much, you'll definitely know it and, well, you don't want to use too much. I love the scent and I love the texture. Makes my hair look nice and "piecy" and makes my streaky highlights stand out something else!
Fragrances -Bare Escentuals - Escentual eau de parfum
ilovestuff 11/14/2004 12:28:00 AM
This fragrance reminds me of something that would come in one of those old Avon cars or other figurines...you know, the cologne containers. I really don't like it at all. It really smells cheap to me.
Ahhh, my new boyfriend! This stuff rocks! I am a scrub junkie and this is just the fix I needed!
Bath Treatments -Jaqua Girls - Steamy Chai Spice Latte Shower Syrup
ilovestuff 11/14/2004 12:23:00 AM
Yum! Yum! I looove this stuff! It smells just like you'd want a creamy chai latte to smell...even better! It's nice and creamy and lathers well. Love this! This will be a staple of mine from here on out!
