I have short and sparse eyelashes and I am always looking for full and lush lashes. This is very difficult to achieve with mascara alone. At first I did not like this product. I didn't think it had enough "Full" but it is very, very soft. I gave it a couple more tries and I am loving it. It does not clump and it plays very nicely with other volumizing mascaras. It builds very nicely with little to no clumping. Perfect on it's own for a slightly lush daytime look. This is also perfect for the tiny lower lashes.
I have this only in Bronzibar. I love this shade. It is like wearing milk chocolate on your lips. It has lovely shimmer and it is very thick. The color is very neutral on me (NC40) so I don't have to worry about wearing too much. It is not as sticky as the lip glasses and it does not last as long, either. I love the brush applicator, it is the primary reason I bought it. The only thing I don't like is the smell, kind of a weird plastic vanilla, but not too bad.
Eye Shadow -Shiseido - Majolica Majorca Majolook BR762

This is my favorite es palette ever! I find these colors to be perfect for me. I already have a dip in the lightest shade which I always use as a highlighter. The shades are a light ivory, a dirty green and a dirty khaki brown. The colors are all highly pigmented, shimmery and very finely milled. I do not like the cream highlighter with it so much, it has some larger glitter chunks in it. This is the palette I reach for the most and I think it is the prettiest of all.
I finally figured out the problem with this product. The actual formula is too thick and goopy. Unlike ordinary liquid liners which are fairly thin which allows for a very precise line, this product is quite goopy. The brush really needs to be a bit beefier and thicker for a really good application. The color is beautiful, but it is impossible for me to apply this in a precise line, no matter what. I wish I could use my eyeliner brush on this, the brush that comes with it is so bad. The brush itself is also too stiff, which just kind of pushes the product around without giving a good deposition. I find myself having to put 2 - 3 coats on. I really wanted to like this product and I love the color, but not the product it self. Sorry MAC. I would take this back but I got it months ago, I will not be making the same mistake twice.
Mascara -L'Oreal - Lash Architect Mascara [DISCONTINUED]

I like this mascara. It gives some nice length and volume. I have short, sparse eyelashes so I am always looking for ways to fatten and lengthen my lashes. I usually use this over another mascara. I have been using this over panoramic curl and the results are fierce! This formula does tend to clump so a comb is a necessity, but if you want the bold, false eyelashes look, this mascara will help you get there.
Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

This product works great for me. It removes all my make up from sticky lip glosses, to waterproof eye liner and mascara. I have combination acne-prone skin and this does not break me out.
Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer SPF 30

I received a generous sample of this at my hotel. I thought, great, I can put it in my travel bag. One week later, I was in the middle of a huge acne breakout. i didn't notice the oil slick on my face so much, but did I ever break out from this. I don't have sensitive or reactive skin, but do struggle with occasional acne and this just exacerbated the problem. I would suggest people with similar problems to stay away form this one.
I must have gotten a defective tube of this because it began flaking within 2 hours. I got this in Cabernet, a nice frosty red.
I was so upset, I am going to call Cover Girl. If this is resolved to my satisfaction, I will change my rating.
I use these type of lip colors, if not often, then occasionally. I have not experienced such a dismal performance since they came onto the market years ago. All I had was a cup of coffee and some water, and it was already flaking off. Then I was in a meeting so I could not leave to touch up. I then ate lunch while it got even worse. Ugh. Terrible product.
EDITED: I called CG and they offered me a free coupon for any product. I still have the defective tube and maybe it was just a bad day? I'll try again and use my voucher for another lip color.
This is a very nice product. It comes in a shallow jar with a sifter top. This keeps the mess down. The product itself is very sparkly, and does tend to fall everywhere. This shade is an iridescent pale pink, and I use it as a highlighter and brow bone accent. Even though it is pink, it shows as a very soft light pink/lilac color, I find it very versatile. The product page says these can be used wet for a more intense color. The price point was 12 USD and the container holds maybe 1 oz of product, but I am not positive of that. I got it 20% off, so I think this is a good deal. I will be picking up more of these.
I bought this after my beloved Benefit Degroovie was lost. I have millions of tiny lines around my mouth and i don't even smoke! I also love dark lipsticks and glosses. My lip colors on the other hand, like to travel into those lines and make me look like I have a "haze" of lipstick. Not very nice.
This product keeps the lipstick "inside" where it belongs. I haven't tried it yet with any glosses, but it did work very nicely on a liquid lip color. This is an economical solution for those of of with feathering lips.
EDIT: This really only works for me with a lipstick. I found that when I used this with a lip gloss, even with a "real" lip pencil, I still had significant feathering. The feathering was only slightly better than if I had not used this liner. I had to take two lippies off due to the fact that this only worked for me when I used it with a lipstick. I guess I will be re-purchasing my Benefit De-Groovie which works well with gloss.
Primer/ Corrector -Clinique - Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector

I love this product. I think this may be better than Smashbox. It has a thicker consistency, and it really covers and smooths pores and fine lines. My foundation really blends very well on top and it lasts all day.
I have combo skin, so I really need control on my forehead and my cheeks. I find this to be a very good spot product, I don't need to apply to my entire face. It reduces shine and I don't need my blotting sheets as much. It really does make a nice canvas for applying foundation.
It also works well for those o foundation days. This leaves a very smooth surface and hides those big pores.
A great product, I will be re-purchasing.
I have this in Mangotini, which is a peachy pink color in the tube. The gloss has very subtle color once applied, and it has sparkle in it. The best thing about this gloss is the feeling and smell. The smell reminds me of chocolate mint and it has this really nice tingle. I don't like the gloss so much as it was not as pigmented as I wold have hoped, but it works well over a lip liner or a stain. The smell is out of this world. It also works well for a bare look, but beware, as the sparkles can build up and leave you with a disco look.
This is a nice product. It has the same minty tingle that the regular Burt's Bees lip balm has. It feels very nice. The color reminds me of MAC Coco pigment. It is that same cool color, like a silver frosted brown taupe, if that makes sense. I found it to be long wearing, so I didn't really need to reapply much through the day. The color does build, but if I use to much you can really see the silver frost, which can look a bit strange. I just bought another shimmer in Raisin, so I hope I like that one as well.
Shampoo -Joico - K-Pak Reconstruct Shampoo for Dry or Damaged Hair
guil 6/6/2006 10:35:00 PM
This is a great shampoo. I would compare it to Matrix Biolage Ultra Hydrating shampoo. I have very thick, long and very curly hair. I have slight damage in the ends, just heat damage, but not too bad. My hair does get very dry. I had got a small bottle of this shampoo in a tote along with the daily conditioner, the treatment and the re-constructor.
I finally used this,, I had been using Aveda damage remedy line, but I like this much more. It is very hydrating, and also has a lot of slip to prevent my hair from tangling while I shampoo. The smell is also very nice, but it is one of the lower lather shampoos, which is fine for me. Like I said before, I have very thick hair and I can't tolerate very frothy shampoos, they take forever to rinse out.
All in all, I think this is a very nice shampoo. I only wash my hair about once a week, so I don't know how this would hold up to daily washing. I will most assuredly repurchase.
I really like this so far. I have no. 14 and it is an "iridescent golden rose". The truth is, it goes from a rose to an orange-rose color, depending upon the light. I noticed it right away in the store and I just had to buy it. I put it on my toes, and I have yet to say anything about the wear, but it looks gorgeous.
I think the bottle is strangely shaped, I noticed another reviewer mentioned that it would be better off with a shorter neck and I have to agree. It is very easy to get too much polish on the brush, and you need to brush it against the side of the neck to remove, which makes it a bit gummy.
