Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - cicé safer skincare Liftingserum

There is no review yet of any of the Cicé Safer Skincare products here yet but that is probably because they are a brand from Hamburg, Germany and I am not even sure they sell internationally... In any case they have a website and sell in Germany on Amazon. I first found these products in the spa of the East Hotel and was impressed by the concept, the products were designed by cosmetic surgeons in order to treat skin before/after surgery, so they contain very pure and high quality ingredients that are supposed to help the skin heal and recover, and all packaging is very hygienic. I have tried several of their products by now but found that most are really good, but not special enough to justify the very high price. The liftingserum for the eye area is the one exception though, the price is 62 € so I still buy it only once in a while or put it on my birthday wish list...It works really well for me, it gets rid of any puffiness and erases the fine lines around me eye within one minute, and this effect lasts well. It lightens the circles under my eyes a little bit too, but I still use concealer as well. Overall I find this product really outstanding though, so I will repurchase it whenever I can afford it....

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco Satin
rated 4 of 5

I really love the Rouge Cocos because the smell of roses, the silky non-drying texture and the packaging feel very luxurious to me. This shade is a bit boring because it just looks very nude on my lips. It's true that this makes it ideal for work, but It actually doesn't look very different from the colour of my lips at all, so there's no real motivation to repurchase...I think I'd rather try a new shade when this is used up....my favourite so far is Orchidee, a more intense and flattering shade of pink...

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco Shine - Liberte
rated 3 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/25/2012 6:36:00 AM

I was excited to try the new "shine" versions of rouge coco but found the formula less silky and more drying than the original rouge cocos, which I love. The glossy shine is nice but as most reviewers here have written, it really wears off quickly. Add to that the somewhat lame colour, and I won't be repurchasing...

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco in Orchidee 17
rated 5 of 5

All the Rouge Cocos have a fantastic silky, luxurious feel, are non-drying and smell nice...Plus I love the packaging, this last little click when you close the cap...Just saying, this is pure luxury and makes me feel elegant...I also have noticed that they last a long time without changes in the smell or the texture, mine have been around for more than a year, perhaps two years, and they are still the same as when I bought them. This shade is my favourite so far, it's a very flattering pink, a bit more intense than a nude shade though...I wear it to work once in a while but am almost feeling a bit ambiguous about it, for private occasions I adore this.

Lipstick -Chanel - Rouge Coco in Gabrielle 19
rated 4 of 5

In general I love all the Rouge Coco lipsticks eventhough I am more of a lipgloss user. The texture, the smell and the packaging of these lipsticks make them feel very luxurious, and they are very silky and non-drying, which is a problem I usually have with other lipsticks. The staying power is average but I don't mind reapplying, since all longwear lipsticks just dry out my lips. This shade is a very rich red/pink with a blue undertone, so it really stands out and makes my teeth look very white. I only wear this lipstick when I go out at night, but lately red lipsticks seem to have become more accepted in daily wear too...I still find this too flashy for work though. Definitely makes me feel chic and confident, so a nice perk for those nights out!

Primer/ Corrector -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat (Radiant Touch)
rated 4 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/21/2012 1:41:00 AM

This is awesome for brightening shadows around the eye, but it's true the coverage is quite sheer, so if you have really heavy circles this is not enough. I really like the fact that it looks natural and even, blends easily and does not dry out my already dry eye area...I also think one tube goes a long way, I bought some on the plane and it lasted me a year with daily use...However, it is very expensive and there are some drugstore brands that do a reasonable job as well...Right now I am using Alverde liquid mineral concealer which comes for a tenth of the ysl price and is really good. All in all, I will buy touche eclat again whenever I feel like giving myself a special treat, like on the next vacation...

Concealers -Soap and Glory - Kick Ass Concealer
rated 3 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/20/2012 5:11:00 PM

At first I really liked this product because it comes in a very cute tin complete with two different shades of concealer and setting powder, so it's great for carrying along... However after having used this for a while I actually realized the concealer looks too obvious and really settles into my pores in a very visible way.... also the setting powder seemed translucent and nice enough in the beginning, but by now it feels as heavy as corn starch...I think I might have been blinded by the cute packaging, but now it becomes obvious the quality is not living up to it...Actually liquid concealer formulas still work the best on my dry eye area...

Tinted Moisturizer -LUSH - Colour Supplement
rated 2 of 5

This shows up on the dry parts of my face, it does neither work as a foundation nor concealer for me. Plus the glass jar is not the most hygienic packaging.

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
rated 2 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/13/2012 5:25:00 PM

Not a good product. Stayed on my face for only an hour and made me look really oily eventhough I was setting it with powder...plus even the lighter shade was a bit too dark for me.

Primer/ Corrector -Agnes B. - Apricot Complexion Enhancer / L'Embellisseur Abricot
rated 2 of 5

I have used this some years ago and wasn't convinced...the smell is very artificial, the colour is pretty orange and the product made me break out. It felt like poor quality overall...

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked 2 Palette
rated 5 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/13/2012 3:24:00 PM

I am not very experienced with eyeshadow because I usually just wear mascara, but I was curious about this palette after seeing the reviews... the naked II appealed to me more than the original naked palette because it has more light shades, and I actually really like to play around with them, getting inspiration from youtube tutorials... I have the impression that all the shades go well together and look good no matter what I do...Very fun!

Blush -Illamasqua - Hussy
rated 3 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/13/2012 2:59:00 PM

Sorry but I don't really get the hype... I find this blush very intense and hard to put on a natural-looking amount because it is so pigmented. Moreover, powders tend to dry out my cheeks so I prefer cream or gel formulas... Finally the packaging seems cheap considering the price.

Hair -Moroccanoil - Moroccan Oil
rated 3 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/6/2012 10:49:00 AM

In the beginning I received a trial size in the glossybox and I really liked this hair oil and bought a full 100 ml, I also gave smaller samples to my mother and sister to try... I liked the scent and my hair did feel softer after use (which is saying something because my hair is thick and dry and will always feel rather coarse), but it also had a bit of a darkening effect and I am not sure it´s really the best option for me...Right now I am testing some cheap drugstore serums and actually find them quite good...

Moisturizers -Burt's Bees - Radiance Day Creme
rated 2 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/6/2012 10:41:00 AM

This day cream gave me a glow and I loved the scent, but after some days I developed whiteheads all over my chin - I stopped using it at once. I must say I have tested quite a few Burt´s Bees products right after they started selling in Germany, and I was not really satisfied with any of them. The formulas are all way too greasy and perfumed for my taste.

Lipstick -L'Oreal - rouge caresse
rated 3 of 5
goldrauschengel 8/6/2012 10:34:00 AM

I have bought this in two shades and feel quite different about them. Rebel Red is actually a very gorgeous, sheer transparent colour that can´t be overdone and just looks fresh. I´d give this 4 stars if it weren´t for the other one...Dating Coral feels like a different formula alltogether, it is not as light and sheer on application, instead the pigmentation is stronger in some places than others, so the result is quite uneven...I´d give this only 2 stars. In both cases, I like the smell (reminds me of sherbet) but the packaging looks cheap and the staying power is very poor, it wears off within an hour even if I don´t eat or drink anything!
